Well this started as a comeback char which I was to use to explore all the changes that happened to the mud while I was away. Wow a lot of changes in layout and the game engine, and a lot to the better. I pretty much loved the druid class, but if you want to play one you should prepare to use a LOT of time researching how things work. The utility of the class is great, and if you know your herbs and cows and get the time to prepare for a spesific fight you are pretty much overall dangerous. Well all in all I was pretty much a poor excuse for a druid, but I don't really care since I had a blast :D
The outlander cabal is pretty much an awsome cabal all in all, and the players within the cabal makes it a blast to play. The imms have done a super job getting this up and running. The only thing I would like to see is more imm run quests to do "greater" things for the cabals goals and such. I know I played during hours where I were mostly alone and I guess not many imms were about either, but dont missunderstand me. If I am to give the cabal a score from 1-10 I would give it 9, imm run quests to do more than just war and hunt would give it a secure 10 :)
Well this character was strange from lvl 7 and onward. I tried for Saldradien but got answer from an immortal who told me he is dead so during a VERY long interview we together turned it towards a customish religion where I prayed to the elements of the winds instead and actually managed to get empowered, to my own supprise. I would like to thank the imm who did this to me, this is probably one of the high spots of the characters life, only coupeled with my second empowerment interview where I did get some time to fledge out who my "lord" really was... The spirit of the winds... Where I managed to get 2nd empowerment with the coolest mend wounds echo ever :D
*snip* You feel the rejuvenating presence of the Spirit of the Wind mending your wounds. *end snip*
Super thanks to the imms who gave me empowerment and the freedom I had with my character, and to the outlander imms to let me stay inducted even if my playtimes (where I was vaguely awake) was pretty scarce. This character is probably the one that has given me most pleasure of all I have played in CF. Only thing I missed was the possibility to have an active lord who I could try to get tattooed or fail misserabely in the process, well my chances would not have been that good since I am still only medicore RP wise. Hope to change that with later characters... My next will be scetched out and have a final goal, something this one did not have so it will be easier.
Well enough with the chat... I guess I could run over to the goodbyes :D ... I interacted with a great deal of people through my life so just post to remind me, but hey I've been around since last year, thats quite a bit of time :D Ok before I start, I beg pardon for any name slaughtering I do during my goodbyes :D
Imms: Whoever threw me the empowerment love, super thanks... I would love to know who it is, was awsome from my side. Outlander imms, my times was wrong so I didn't try get your attention from you other than some emails with Amaranthe and a few with Innis. I em truelly gratefull for being able to play as outlander even with my time restrictions.
OUTLANDER: Damn here is many I will forget, I am sure but for all of you I loved your RP and strength of character. Tjok - What can I say, youre a legend, I pretty much stated that. I thank you for a great induction interview, you pressed me hard and we have a very long interview. I had a blast and felt I acomplished something great after you took the pity in me and inducted me :D I loved every aspects of your character and you gave me pretty much very high morale when you were around, btw you should have had a imm given skill that boosts morale on all outlander when you were online, since you really did that to the players behind the wheel.
Krystia - I think you did a pretty good interview, even if you stated you didnt feel you did in your goodbyes. I pretty much loved the way you got hurt by the thorns to check my mend wounds echo during the first part of the interview.
Drahke - I loved that big crazy dude, we grouped a few times but did never get a good group going, and I hate the fact that I got you killed to a few ppl in the acolytes temple that time... Atleast the thief in the gang got a good beating from me afterwards, it still bited me he got away before I could seal the kill.
Arisinus - You were allso one of the big guns who I looked up to in my early days while you were still around. And I liked the talk we had before I tried to get inducted later on. I were allways on the lookout for some cool swords which I could make to wood for you :)
Aerik - I liked your crazyness but we never got to do much together, what I saw when I was not running around alone I liked. Pity you got connection probs and so on. I think given time you would have been a good Harbringer.
Aesrira - I pretty much loved you all around. We got a few good interactions together, and did a few runs together. I loved running around being crazy together with you. Pity I did not have the heart to learn to know yet another generation of outlanders. I would so have liked to see the battleplan we spoke of in sitran mines to play out in galadon and the surroundings... Aswell as all those quests I was running for myself to have something cool and fun to do when noone else was around, or I was running around retrieving/raiding.
Beidal - Fun healer, I allways saw you as the humorous side kick of the outlanders. Keep trucking its allways good to get a good laugh :D. You did fly like a rag between the heroes granting sanc and heals but we never got much time together other than throwing various humoristic insults against eachother on the cabal channel.
Dillique - What happened to you? You did a good job most of the time but sometimes dropped out of role, something that allways give me a dilemma what to do next. I liked the druid all in all but you should try keep your RP up at all times and you will get a great time in the outlander cabal. I kinda looked upon you as the new player who could probably need some guidance. I tried when I could :)
Parantl - Most of the times we met you were doing the invoker curse thing (spam practice). So we never got much time together something I regret today.
Reggie - I could do a copy paste of Parantl here but I wont even if its somewhat true. You were more around at my times so I atleast felt as I had some more time with you.
Sivakar - We grouped some together and I really liked you. We got into a few fights and all in all I had a blast together with you. Well what can beat a crazy mongoose druid and invoker at mont kidana rae gathering storm giants and killing all at the same time with cone and earthquake rofl.
Hilaron - We had a few groups together and a few pretty much failures at retrieval together hehe. I liked that porcupine of yours and had a blast in sitran with you.
Tytinous - Fun fun shifter. I helped/grouped with you a few times and liked you a lot, I would have loved to do that more, hope you keep trucking :D
Beast - Oh god how I loved your RP... I more or less grew up with you. And I love how people started calling you beast over the cabal channel... Btw I give you the blame of many of the beast rp we see now in outlander :D (Heh dont remember your char name).
Ok for all the outlanders I have forgot, I am pretty empty atm plese throw me a reply and ill give you recognition aswell :D
TRIBUNAL The cabal I love to hate, and probably my firstmost enemy. Majorly since after I raided you once I would be wanted and empire would have filled balator and imperial lands with guards so it was impossible to get to the outer guardian without getting killed first. Hmm I know I'm missing out on a few who I fought and so on. Not intentional.
Onirakoth - Ugh how I loved to hate you. You are utterly bad with the glass bracelet and those followers of yours. Those guards take 600-800 hps from me in one round :P ... Well I didnt want to back off, so I pretty much tried all combinations I could think of conserning herbs and what not to get you, but nothing helped. :P ... We pretty much played tag retrieve/raid during a long time of my life, you allmost ranked me :D
Melacarfina - I stopped caring about gear when I was young... Takes to long to gather so I most of the time run around with an axe and snowworm gear... I just wanted the fun not the boring things so you were a strong opponent for me when I dont have to much hps. We had a couple of brawls just before you died, was fun but I just gave up after a while... I guess if I geared for a couple of hundred hps more I would have given you a really bad time :D ... I think I gave you the ranking of your life with my water shifter :) just so you know.
Gelgso - Strong bugger. Would like to see you come out of the city a tad more. We had a couple of brawls and yepp I did hero you with another character I had, a certain water shifter.
Hammond - Damn I am sorry you died, I wanted to soloraid against you at lvl 43, that was extremely though when you were out of range... And I didnt want to kill you either since I think out of pk killing is lame... I liked your calmness and how you actually were possible to talk to after something happened.
EMPIRE: Ugh how I hate summoners... It was more or less impossible to chew through all the guards in the game that is summonable to get to your cabal.. And well I dont know, after lvl 43 I think I have something like 30minutes RL time which I was not wanted rofl. I think I forgot a good del of you guys in the goodbyes, not intentional at all.
Vinston - Damn fine work. I liked your player and the fact that you actually showed up at our doorstep once in a while. I allways had you first on my list of what to attack :D
Makholvek - Ugh you and your guard summoning hehe.. I more or less knew if I could not find you without zombies I would not be able to take you down. Still I think you are one of the reasons why outlanders have a hard time raiding empire these days. Good work.
BATTLE: Jeha - Fun to group with you, and thanks for informing me about when you held the scales. I started informing battle after a while about this so we didnt have to raid for nothing.
Alidliril - Ah loved that one. Sorry for killing you at mount kidanarae that time, but I was protecting the outlander invoker. But you really showed off as a good battlerager as you forgave me and grouped with me and Jeha later. I was impressed.
Numbers of Duergars/Dwarves/Minotaures/Paladins/Conjurers - Well im my cituation I selected not to hunt you as a rule, I had enough with the Tribunals... I more selected not to trust you at all, and hmm if the cituation was there I might have killed a couple of duergars.
VICTIMS Sorry you just were in the wrong place to the wrong time ....
Ferrader or what your name was, I am sorry I didnt stay to fight you in the weld that time... I was in the middle of a raid against the tribunals, and I regret we never got time to do that follow up :D
OTHERS Oh god where to start. When I was young I had a great deal to do with a lot of people, I don't even know where to start so I will let you just know I liked the lot of you. You were kind enough to keep RP sharp when I was around and I really appreciate that. I hate when RP breach and I play empowerment classes. And a lot of you were good friends of mine, and there is one that really sticks out -> Isegrim loved you, keep trucking youre unique :D
All the poor applicants I interacted with. Well I tried, but raid/retrieval runined most of my interviews. Other than that you might have found me frustrating since I think I had pretty much a little different view of outlanders than most outlanders in general. I had a blast though, thanks for all your time. Only thing I regret is that I really did not have enough time to interview all applicants I came over :D

The playing times were scarce, but when you were on and I was watching, you did a good job doing the Outlander thing. If anything, you were just a bit too friendly. Once you learn how to turn on that anger switch, you will find the rp aspect will flow a lot easier. (Mind you, this is an Outlander thing)
Your willingness to interview and help anyone who was aspiring to be an Outlander was commendable and had your playing times been more consistent, you may have been looked at as a Harbinger.
Keep plugging along and you can do something memorable real soon. Good luck with your next.

37100, Thank you for the kind words :)

I know my playing times are scarce, my job 80 hours a week in avg since 5th jan :( if not I would have been online as much as I was in 2004. I think in the end I started to get more and more angry, but I had noone to come be angry with me :) So many of my cool plans faded quickly to the fact that either I only got utility herbs or I could not get the right cow to answer.
When I logged in, sometimes I actually fell asleep while hunting :D .. I dessided that if the leaders kept deleting quick like the last have done I would put in more time if only to get some good outlanders in and build the cabal, then hand the stick over to someone else, but I really though Crendal would stick it out and rebuild the cabal. He seemed a trucker.
Athe anger thing was something I dessided not to be, I just get turned off at all those insults, its war not hate we do, so I didn't hate my enemies, I was rather doing what was nessesary.
I fumbleled a lot in the beginning, playing a druid with plain telnet without aliases is extremely hard :D but I think it picked up in the end where I learned to use tactics and use the wanted flag to my own advatage.
Well I will be back later with a new druid, I am pretty sure I will go for an active imm this time, I just want to try get a tattoo :)
Thanks for the good critics though, love to hear good feedback on a char I loved myself.

37106, Anger, hate, words and war.
Posted by Lyristeon on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
The anger I was speaking about is in actions, not insults or things like that. Outlander is in a war and the reason we war against someone is because they have made you angry for a reason.

Yes I know, that was one of the things I was thinking of when I mentioned I think I was a crappy druid, but its hard to get into the mechanics when you only have time to play once a week. I think you saw me picking up towards the end of each session, and in the end I tried to find a way of exploiting the fact that I was running around wanted more or less perma.
I promise my next you will have a better show, and I will most likely try for bouth a tatt and harbringer position. I just need to fledge out a very good setting for him, I have something on my scetch board, but I will wait until late summer or autum before rolling him.
This is the char I will want to either con or age die. If I manage to get the same enjoyment I had with Viviarong that should not be a problem at all. I only have found memories of Viviarong and had a blast and I am pretty sure I will start missing him soon.
Btw do you have any idea who empowered me 1st and 2nd time? Would be mutch fun to know who it was since I had a blast at bouth interviews.

You guys would come in like a plague of locusts i would just mess with you all summon brownies sleep and scourge them. Be calling guards and strong mobs to annoy the bards. It was fun greatest thing ever was when an invoker made an ice slick directly below inners and caribajin(sunwarden i forget how to spell it) slipped on it and died. I was cracking the #### up.

Hehe yea, if you know how many times I have been scouting you to catch you at the right moment you would be supprised.
Was scouting to find the right place and moment to strike but most of the time you were building an army and that means a grave yard. Hehe, thats probably the last place I would like to fight a necro :D

37025, A nice character.
Posted by DurNominator on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
It was fun to interact with you as Fungor/Agantas/Atohner. See you in the fields. Can I now ask where you planted Fungor's tree? He was thinking about the Inn back yard, but I see that it is likely that Viviarong had something else in his mind...
I think I'll save the posting of Atohner RP logs for later time, as some characters are still active.
See you in fields.

Yea I had a blast with you aswell. I got to "teach" the outlander spirit to you and at the same time get you to do your own choises... Had a blast, and thats probably why we had all those long interviews.
Actually that tree thing took off something bad heh. I was not vivimancy or of amaranthe at all I was more about taking things down and such. So the sappling turned to a treant, which turned to a lifelong quest for a real treant mob in the game. with a tachtical function for the outlander and to refresh a forest which were to be your thing. hehe... Well I never got to finish the quest at all but atleast I got a lot of RP around it.
So fungor was remembered for a loooong time after you died hehe.
Btw next time you should try earlier for induction... You were pressed hard very hard at times because of you doing hero induction.
See you in the fields aswell :D

When I was Jhuyzi, I were always like 'Huh what is he doing?' or where is that druid again' :)
As Alidliril damned I enjoed our fights on a mountain. I understand your goals in this fight so I took it as normal. And one more thing..damned primodal vengence :) Last time you put it on me I learned a ###### nice lession. got -1500mv in a minute :) I agree druid very interesting and tricky class.
Well played. Damned long played. See you in fields :) Good luck.

Yea, would be very nice to see your affect list after I landed all that crap on you :D
Well after you died and you came back I chose to maledict you down so badly and let you go so you would not bother us again :D That was the tachtics heh.
|
37057, Hmm I just came to think about the affect list......
Posted by Tirach on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Please dont post it here as the druid class seems to be supposed to be a bit mystic, and 90% of my love for the class is all the experimentation you have to do before you are starting to understand the class.
Could you be so kind and check your logs and send me your maledicted affect list to me by email pls :)

37014, Well, if I'd have been you
Posted by Hammond on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I'd have been laughing my head off when you killed me. I know I laughed a lot when a hero acolyte altruismed someone I was fighting and died from my maladictions (with a different char). Don't know why, but I always find the shock value from those kind of kills is funny. I can't help picturing what the other guy is saying to himself at that time.
And to be honest, I don't really mind to dying to something I didn't know about. It isn't like I knowingly made the wrong choice or something, and I learnt from the experience.
Thanks for not looting though.
As far as your playing times went, you seemed to have quality when you were around, and I would argue that 10 good hours a month is more important to a cabal than 100 hours of mediocrity. So don't be so surprised you were kept around.
I've said it once, but I'll say it again. Nice tactic with the blackjacking thief back there. That, to me, shows player skill.

Posted by Tirach on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I was kinda supprised when I saw who was behind Hammond as I have been playing loads with you in warlock before. A little crazy invoker and my first hero ever, elf shifter. I know firsthand you are a really good player since I've seen what you are capable of, such nice words really warm my heart. Thanks.
I really liked your transmuter and you allso grouped with my watershifter just after I heroed Gelgso so I got to get a little deeper under your skin later in life.
|
37010, Hmm more I forgot that has to be mentioned.

Shaman team
Jekte - I liked you and was trying to get you to rank to hero for a while. I just gave up on that aspect after a while, arrgh rank to hero and kick some ass, people will save less against your communes :D ... Was so nice to see you online just before I deleted. Gave me comfort that someone is there to kick some butt in the herorange :D
Brulgbabauth - Beautifull man. Thanks for helping me against that ram I struggled with outside of tar valon. I really liked you, and you were kinda truck like hehe. You were one of the people who were in the center of a large offense I was planning on Galadon with my character. But times never matched to get all 3 leaders online at one time so the plan could spring to life. It would have been an awsome show :D Keep trucking man.

Well Im glad you liked beast(or kalthero) which was his real name... I enjoyed travelling with a druid whom obviously knew alot of the things a druid must know. I really had a hard time with deleting beast, but it was the second time I got lemure in a row, and beast was supposed to be a char that explored alot alone. And with the combination of forms I had at that point I just did not want to continue.
Having played, well I lost count of the ammount of shifters I played... *blush* I know well their strengths and weaknesses.
But Im stil wondering why you did not continue playing Viviarong? Seemed like you enjoyed playing him, even when I interacted with you as Vorroth...
Luck with the next ones.. LH larsihalv@gmail.com

Yes I know you deleted because of your forms. People told me later in life. A pity indeed since with the current status of the cabal we could have done a ####load of damage to bouth empire and tribunal together.
I still love Viviarong and will probably allways regret this deletion, I would have loved continue with him, had a lot of loose threads I would love to get through but I think this is the 4th or 5th generation of outlanders I am meeting in my life as an outlander. And it tears you down as soon as you start get good friends and start to have a blast with a generation they delete... In the long run it gets you down...
I allso "#ยค%#$ my role up beyond recognition :) I had a lot of stuff I wanted to do with the character but well another time another char I say.
I now have a good feel for druids and know what to do with the next I will play in outlander ofcourse. I have a feeling I have met you quite a few times in the field. Every time a shifter is compatible with me in all I do I start wondering :D ... You are a pleasure to group with.

37005, Argh forgot the druid army
Posted by Tirach on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Outlander druid army made me look like a shadow when they were around. And damn I forgot you guys in the goodbyes :P
Tiriundrun - Loved you and grouped with you a lot. I am definitively going to play another druid, and this time it will be a wood elf :D It tore me when you deleted, loved having someone who could learn me a few tricks.
Karrel - The outlander truck :) Sheez I felt like a frail chimp when you started tossing around. We grouped a bit on the battlefields together and I loved your druid. But at the same time I just could not use your tachticks when I pk'd so when I was running with you it allways made me look bad. I had to run my own tachticks to make it work.
C something the last one of you... I forgot your name and dont want to try since there was an imperial with a similar name at the time and dont want to miss completely :D I liked you too, and you were allso one of the people I luuked up to as I slowly grew to become the little druid I became in the end.
|
37024, Thanks!
Posted by Tiriundrun on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I really enjoyed the character but it just lost it's flair for some reason I plan on playing another druid eventually one of the most powerful and frustrating classes in my opinion. Good job though your right about different methods. You would stalk and study I would just go running in.

I look forward seeing you in outlander again, was an asset while you were there. Once again, thanks for all the fun you gave me in my earlier days.
