35650, [DELETED] Iramath Avynnduil the Far-Sighted Knight, Cap...
Posted by Iramath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I tried logging back in and reconfirming the deletion in hopes of getting my actual Death Angel post up here, but it doesn't look like it's going to work. So, I guess I'll get on with this stuff.
I rolled Iramath to kill time, period. I had three goals: Make a respectable elf warrior, become a maran, and get a third legacy. I think I accomplished #1 well enough. I know I pulled-off #2, but #3 didn't happen. Instead, I became the freeking Captain! Man, I was clawing my screen when Shokai laid it on me. I just really really wanted to stay in the background as a valued Maran, but not one of the main guys in the cabal. However, once it happened I accepted it and tried to play the role as well as I could.
Immortal Goodbyes
Shokai: It has always been a pleasure. I remember when you used to be much more active, and I loved that, but even now it's hard not to be drawn to your religion and your cabal. Thank you for the chance to tote around your tattoo. Maybe someday I'll make something worthy of being the Talon!
Aarn: I've never been able to say "I was a part of the quest to bring an Immortal into the game." Well, now I can, and what fun it was. Thanks for all the interactions, the classic dwarf humor and for bringing some much needed rejuvenation to the cabal. I hope you will be around for a long, long time.
Qaledus: You son of a bitch! You owe me! Pay up!
Innis: Thank you for chopping it up with me. It was fun discussing the different views of goodness, as well as sharing wines. And, of course, what would I have done without you to retrieve my spear?!
Marmaanth: I hope that conversation we had didn't come off as being "whiney." I really wasn't going for that. The plan was to work in the realm of your laws, despite how much Iramath didn't like the idea, to achieve victory in the best sense of the word. Thanks for not smiting/plaguing/PWP'ing/transferring to tiamat :P.
Mortal Goodbyes
FRIENDS
Heas: We sorta came up together and started our little foray into the hero ranks when times were considerably rougher than they are now. I always loved having you around because you kicked ass, but you did it with style. You were my best dwarven pal. I hope you find more time to spare for this game, because the playerbase will benefit for having you there.
Sydrian: My main man! The elf with the axes! The big cheese! You became my best all-around buddy, especially once Heas started showing less. I think we faced all sorts of stuff together, whether the times were bad or good, and we always had great roleplay. I'll probably miss you most out of everyone. You were truly like a brother to Iramath, and so I hope that whenever you do the ol' double-delete you do it with the pretense that you are heading to the reef with a fishing pole in-hand as well. It's too bad I won't get another chance to fight you! Keep kickin' ass!
Brynne: We first met when I was like...level 20-something? You added a twist on my whole approach to this character that was ENTIRELY unexpected. It didn't go like how you wanted, but I think it turned out to be a good, well-roleplayed friendship. You kept me stocked with goodies whenever you could, and for that I was grateful. I hope you manage to get your wish with the whole thiefy thing. Elves in power are just a natural, expected thing, afterall :+.
Ginharq: The old woman! You were one of the older chums that ran around with me (though, admitedly, none of us are TOO old), and we had some good times. I always enjoyed your manner of playing, and the ever present "Hey man," which was just sooo laid back. You're the last of us who still has the title from that little quest we did, and I hope you get a new one whenever you finish the OTHER quest (you know the one...remember it got cut-off?). Best of luck.
Jezerael: I had really mixed feelings about you. You almost always showed me a good side of you, but I got reports from friends and enemies alike about your conduct so often that I just couldn't ignore it anymore. Not that your conduct was inappropriate for the game (to my knowledge), but yeah, maybe not what you'd expect from the Cardinal of the Golden Sun. If it is any consolation, you showed a lot of potential with Jez, and your help was very, VERY welcome during the tough times. I was torn a bit about how to deal with you because the Shok' follower, Maran side of me was proud that you liked to go out and rough-house with the enemy, but the duty-bound Captain side had to stop and consider your actions. Anyway, good luck with everything.
Icthaen: The new guy with the skills! I was so glad when you came to the cabal. Right away I knew you'd be a valuable asset and cool to talk to as well! Thanks for the fishing poles!
Ahelun: You're an interesting fellow, I must say. Sometimes, just when I thought you were a completely cocky little prick you would go and do something really noble. I guess that's a testament to your ability at playing what would seem to be a difficult RP angle on a paladin. I was glad to see you return to the cabal (and with such style!), and I hope you will remain for a long time to come. Oh, and also, you seem to be a beast when it comes to fighting, so kudos there.
Azidreth: I'm glad I inducted you. I hope you stick around for a while as the Fort's eye in the sky. It really is a valuable thing to have at least one air/offense shifter in a cabal.
Wungar: It's been a while, but I still remember you. Thanks for all of your help and the bit of guidance you gave me with the Silent Tower. If you had stuck around I am absolutely certain you would have become a Maran again.
Llyria: You seem like a newer player, and at times this was frustrating because when you have a healer with you, you start taking risks that you know you can only accomplish BECAUSE you have a healer...and then when the healer is lax in doing their thing, it can become a quick disaster. This happened a few times with you early on, but I really meant what I said in-game about you doing a very good job lately. I don't know if it's experience kicking in or what, but you definitely seem to be getting the hang of it. Please, don't delete. I am just one goofy elf warrior, but a healer can be worth a handful of those to a cabal in need.
I know there are many more of you who deserve a spot here, but for the life of me I can't remember right now. The ones who are here probably impacted Iramath's life the most, though.
ENEMIES
Restraal: You jump right to the top of the list. I think you learned pretty early on not to try gating to me and whittling me down. Hehe, you stopped as soon as I started hitting you with an impale, artery, offhand disarm and a disarm. I think I must have taken at least 3 good shields from you that way. You were a complete pain in the ass, because you could make ANYONE into a challenging opponent, and when it came to raiding parties...damn it was hard to go against them when you were there.
Akscereh: You are one persistant S.O.B. I mean, to keep pressing on after the abuse you've taken is quite impressive. If the Imms are going to hand out a new quest form, I'd honestly like to see it go to you. I don't know how your "role" looks, and I don't care. You are an evil bastard who can (somtimes) be dangerous :p.
Ceiekalak: I have some logs of you just absolutely stomping my ass into the ground. You were one scary fella, and I wish I had had the chance to fight you more once I had "ripened" a bit in the hero ranks, because I think I could have taken you ;).
Nabburak: You really, REALLY should not have killed me in front of the palace that time. That's what I get for expecting a helper to uh...help! Good job in capitalizing on the situation though. Out of curiousity, how many charges was I worth?
Uoukueal: I seriously felt bad about whomping on you sometimes. Good luck as the sect leader.
This list could go on and on. I lost count of how many people I've tangled with. Feel free to post and I'll respond, though!
P.S. Iramath didn't take his life. He just retired to parts unknown for the duration of his mortal years.

You were probably the single best leader I have seen on this MUD in my 8+ years of playing. Granted thats an on and off 8 years but still. That includes some of the old Knight leaders like Challen. I think the only one that did more for any cabal as a whole that I've seen was Istendil. That's because he was so terrifying that empire was just unstopable with him around. Of course the maran were pretty much the same with you there. I liked the character, his sense of humor, the way he always sought to teach. You left a strong fortress behind as a legacy and even though we've lost three in a week it still seems to be doing half-way well. You taught me alot about new things and things I forgot. Great character, great leader. Incredible job man.

Damn man, I forgot you in the farewell too!
Zak was fun to be around, for sure. You were always a pretty light-hearted, easy-going guy...like me! So we clicked, I thought.
I hope you stick it out and keep ol' bony Ginharq company in the tough times ahead.

35847, I hated you, as I'm sure you know.
Posted by Gnarugk on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
As I hate all dagger/spear specs. God you were a ####ing problem for me, and one of the few elves I haven't been able to stomp into the ground at some point. I hope you understand how frustrating that is for someone playing a character whose only objective is to make your life a living hell. I couldn't do it, no matter how hard I tried. Even with healer help, my efforts against you turned out to be futile when I had no weapon to wield and I watched my groupie healer's mana dwindle while trying to kick your ass without a weapon. One would think this to be inspiration to get some +str gear, but to the orc, it's just absolutely infuriating beyond comprehension. Very well done, and I'll sincerely miss having you as opposition.

Yeah, I remember you and some other orc talking smack to me around level 15 or so. And back then you were actually pretty dangerous. But then you rocketed through the ranks and by the time I caught you (a couple weeks later) things were MUCH different. But you were *really* close to getting me that time in Balator when you bashed me into the ground. Those savage feedings are just brutal.
Anyhow, good luck with the Chief spot. I think you might be a real force to reckon with if you play your cards right.

35844, Well damn.
Posted by Firunsheim on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
As I said with Sydrian. Huge loss. I learned a lot from you when it came to one on one fighting by watching you. Glad you gave me the nod to get in even though you knew who I callled my patron. It was good, knowing now who you played before, that you opted for a goodie and did a great job as an elf warrior. Most deathfull. Your sense of humor and fantastic fights will be missed. Thank you for the trust and the chance.
Firunsheim.

I'm glad I was able to teach you something, as you said in your post. I had a feeling that Firunsheim was going to turn into a strong paladin, and hopefully a strong Maran. Too bad I won't be around to see it, but hey, now maybe the pk range at hero will be a bit more consistent and you can have some titanic battles.

I appreciated a good number of things about this character, not only your style, and Gank-checking, but also your ability to help people help themselves.
I hope I can catch up with my early constant playing times, we'll need to pick up the great slack, now that you're out.
And yes, you did give me the impression that you were striving to do the best job you could, at a job you didn't want.
oh yeah, and Respect...you give it, you get it...you got it.

35879, How could I forget?
Posted by Iramath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Doh!
There were so many times during Ira's hero years that I thought "Damn, it would be SO nice if Tiburona or Martainn were around," and so the times that you were I was on Cloud 9. Heh, and I'm also glad to have known that I wasn't the only problem who had a real problem holding onto the Heartseekers once I got them. Christ, I swear I lost one about ever 4 days, on average. I tried to keep you stocked with one after the first time or two that you lost yours, but then you showed up less and I figured "hey, why not make use of it myself?" So, anyone who hated my dual heartseekers must indirectly hate you for letting me have them :7.

Damnit, yeah yeah I know.. really though, I could not do a damned thing against you unless I caught you totally unprepped and sleeping (and the one time that happened, I ran out of moves and couldnt flyto you anymore *sigh*). Our relationship was great, at first, you hated me and called me all kinds of names that goodly people call even wretches, then I guess you thought you might be able to "turn me" so you started to be nice, then you realized the futility of that (hehehe) and started back with the names and insults. I won't miss Iramath being around at all, but I will miss the absence of a well played character and the player backing him
kudos

Just out of curiousity, did all of my hamstringing and other maledicts ever cause you a real problem? I always hoped you'd take flight after being hamstrung and run out of mv's in midair, but I don't think it ever happened. Damn that sand lizard!

Posted by Azidreth on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
You were a great Captain from what I got to see. Even-tempered, deadly, and quite charismatic. You seemed as useful as a healer in a raid just because you knew how to lead.
Oh, and the induction timing was pretty sweet, too.

Oh, and the induction timing was pretty sweet, too.
About that; you had waited quite a while at hero to be given a shot. Initially I passed on your request to Aarn and Floofi, but I think they were both AWOL for a bit, and after all the times you had gone through ####ty situations with me, you deserved a shot. Glad I gave it to you.

35724, Farewell Iramath
Posted by Aesrira on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I liked Iramath. I liked him from the moment we first met when you came to the huntress as a lowbie to kill some raiding imperials. You seemed to find that fine line of respecting outlander beliefs without compromising your own. I was constantly using you as an example of a FortressMan that Aesrira could run with if needed.
Anyway, Great Character and good luck with your next.

I dug Aesrira as well. I was always glad to hear from you in-game, though sometimes I wondered when and if you were ever going to come to the defense of the outlanders that I had to hunt. Glad it never came to that, because I would have hated having to fight you (although it would have been fun to play out IC).
Good luck with whatever Aesrira is trying to do.

I have the thing, I've talked to the guys who can help me with the stuff, now it's just getting me and the other party in a place to do the thing in question.
I told you this was not an easy gig, and not something Qaledus normally deals in. If I can manage to pay off this debt, it should be interesting.
Trust me. }(

That flurry just sucked man. I mean, there was just no way to contend with that. I went from almost full health (nearly or just over 800) to dead in one move from you. That's worse than a blast from the god damned green dragon! Anyway, you were a beast with that flurry, but I remember after you lost your godly set when I actually kicked you, Restraal, and Vorvzak around the desert for a good 10 minutes straight. It gave me satisfaction (although it was a bit petty) to be able to do that. }(

1: The player is skilled; and
2: The imms keep tweaking up that race, both behind in front of the curtain.

'Beaten by an elf???' is pretty much the thought I had after most of our fights. And yes, you did steal some pretty shiny shields from me. Each time I thought 'ok, I'm going to be smart about it this time' and each time, I ended up losing it anyway. As I'm sure you noticed, my shield of choice went from pitch-black to orcish }( .
In any case, you were one tough cookie, and I for one always enjoy having a clever adversary to test my noggin against. At times I wished I was a fighting class, so I could have 'made things personal.' Thanks again and good luck.

Well good luck with school, I hope to meet the next character you play for a longer period of time. (Whenever that will be) I hated Mek with .. uh.. the character that I played then. but he was still well played. This one was a great character as well.

Muhahahaha! Now I get to inherit all the nice daggers and spears you'll leave behind.
It wasn't purposeful to make a spec clone of you. I didn't know your specs until after I had already made my character with specs/legacies in mind. Though, from what I've seen of your logs, you tend to be a lot more deadly than me. I think we maybe exchanged words twice and traveled together once. I didn't get any lasting impression of you with our limited interactions, but OOC I knew of your reputation. Good luck with your next.
What were your legacies if you don't mind me asking?

I would have enjoyed some more fights as you did mature with the char, it's a shame we didn't get to have them. (combination of a few things led to an extended absence, such as loosing internet for a while, pneumonia, not agreeing with certain imm demands and that all led to a drop in interest and ability to be around, heh) I did enjoy the fights we had anyways, hope to see you again in the fields. Feel free to post any and all logs, I lost all my logs when I had to reformat my computer(damned spyware and such crap) Good luck with the next one, and man you avoided pincers at just the right times more than anyone could hope for, heh.

But you ruined every Emporer-killing ambush on Kiadana that I've tried. You'd show up, bring half your cabal with you, tell me what to do, and the Empire would all word in the process.
Then giving me coins in Kiadana was the last straw, in an IC way. But no hard feelings. It was all in good fun, the last part in the Kiadana village was just to see how far I could push you, and what happens when you are pushed too far.
Was fun interacting, though. Even if it was in a sour way, I had a smile on my face the whole time.

I really, really wanted to see you at least become Death-Marked by the Phoenix for the stuff you pulled. I still think your roleplay, which makes perfect sense to YOUR character from a neutral, instinctive perspective, is evil as all hell. I didn't quite understand how you could justify being a "hunter of the herd," which would imply that you took no sides and, in fact, liked to hunt the larger masses that roamed around, yet when there were 3 or 4 maran and acolytes defending against six to seven enemies you came in and tried to kill me. It came off looking like you just had a real problem with my character or that you had designed a role to let you kill everything as if you were evil, but under the guise of neutrality.
Just accept your evilness and turn :P.
Anyway, I am sure your character was given a hard look by the Imms by now and if they think you should remain neutral then that's good enough for me.

Well from what I seen from Iramath it made me happy. Especially the competent elf warrior part. Props for making such a deadly one. The time infront of the palace was a huge mistake. Our forces were to split up to take on the odds there and we should have retreated but we all live and learn.
Luck with the next.

The reason I never brought it up during that session (before you logged off) is because I knew it would just sound like I was mad about the death. I mean, sure, losing a sick set sucks, but it's happened so many times with all of my characters that I am kinda numb about it. Anyways, no hard feelings. Your character seems to do well and I hope you stick around.

I really enjoyed all my interactions with Iramath. You were tough as nails, fair spoken and had an air of (elven ?) arrogance. One time Skolgrar and Drahke was fighting, you came by and crossed your arms signaling superiority instead of just attacking whoever was most hurt. There is nothing wrong with ganging, yet you seemed to look for fun fights as well as certain ones.
In general you came off as a nice player, without going OOC. I don't like the 'hurry back to your corpse' approach, since it so seldom makes sense IC. But you can be 'sportmanslike' in many other ways without it becoming an OOC issue and I think you did just that. That is cool in my book and I thank you for it.
Obviously you managed to kill lots of time, but I hope it was in an enjoyable way. Have fun with your next.

Hehe, I can't believe you thought I was arrogant! No, I guess I can...a little. I suppose it's easier to come off that way with enemies than with friends (at least, I HOPE my pals didn't think I was arrogant). And about you and Skolgrar fighting, it's funny because most of the time when I do something like that (the arm crossing) I am trying to make it clear that I'm not going to take any part in the battle, yet the two fighting will usually flee because they think I'm going to jump in. Oh well...
Anyways, take care of yourself. You have one spiffy-as-hell title and I wish you the best of luck in living up to it. (Although what's the Venemous Maw thing about? Ancients refuse to pay for listerine? :P)

Uoukueal: I seriously felt bad about whomping on you sometimes. Good luck as the sect leader.
Hehe not as bad as I felt getting WHOMPED!!
Even though I knew facing you was a pretty sure fire ass-kickin, I was always hoping to get a chance to improve. But sometimes I just got such a serious gank-down I had to shake my head in dismay.
Well, you don't need me to tell you, but you wear one serious kick ass warrior, always prepped and always with a plan to win.
Roll an Imperial for christ's sake!

Yeah, searing light weapons and wrath daggers can be a real bitch for a duergar, but you always stuck around even through the rough times, which earned my respect.
And seriously...roll an imperial?! That offends my senses! x(

Happy go lucky Icthaen was pretty damn pissed when you deleted and went off fishing or whatever your no good elf ass excuse was. Considering two warriors don't naturally make a great team, we seemed to do pretty well except for when i'd let me axes crumble and not notice it until i tried pincering :) Ack I don't know what to say. My funnest times were with you, great character all around. Liked our roleplay, starting with the induction interview and pretty much up until the very end. Oh and a big thanks for showing me those few things that I wasn't sure about. It's always fun to be around players who know more than you (not that i'm all that knowledgeable anyway). I actually knew you through a couple other characters, and well......liked you with all of them. Take care man, and good luck with everything. If you want to chat, you can contact me at dylan_co@alcor.concordia.ca

"Happy go lucky" certainly describes Icthaen, and that was the thing about you I enjoyed even more than your "deathfullness". I hope things go well for you and the rest now that I'm gone. And don't worry, with so many of you skilled players around they'll pick a Captain in no time!

35660, I'm still going to kick your ass man..
Posted by Sydrian on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Why would you go and do something like this? Why would you delete such a bad ass elf so quickly? I was even about to pass you up in hours man(years in game of course :P)!! With this deletion I gotta be honest, the urge to even play in the fort is starting to dwindle. Aside from Brynne you *were* the other reason I would log on. I can't explain the chemistry between our two characters but I know I'd have done just about anything for you. Interviews, gear(how many people actually ever hand off a phylactery of free movement? :P I mean really), I'd have gone anywhere, it didn't matter. I've served under plenty of leaders in my CF career and you are by far my favorite and probably the only one I've ever liked aside from the ones I've had :P. Now, a couple of questions if you would indulge me.
1. Why did you delete? I mean WHY?!?!
2. What the hell were your legacies?
3. What was the bet you won with Qaledus and what was it for(I never did get anything)?
4. Would you mind sharing with me any past characters or a known forum handle? I'm *dying* to know who played this character aside from Iramath.
5. You said a couple days ago that you were thinking about stepping down(you can probably answer this question with #1) but that your war wasn't over for the forseeable future. Why the sudden change?
Guh, you have no idea how frustrating this deletion is for me man. I am by far a mediocre player. I'm even all rusty at the moment so I'm not even mediocre(took a nice 8 month break from this place, now I'm back). A player of your caliber can definitely teach me a few things, and is always a welcome addition to my side of the battle. :)
If for some reason you want to keep your identity or whatever private, or you don't want to answer any of these questions on the forum, feel free to drop me a line here: elvenstallion@gmail.com
It was always a pleasure man, Sydrian
p.s. I think I can already hear Brynne's heart breaking. :)

Ah, Iramath.. Poo. I'm not sure what you thought I was looking for, but I assure you, it was simply the pleasure of your company. There was something magical about you and I really wanted more of it. I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable. Well played and I'm sorry to see you go. Good luck with your next.

1. Why did you delete? I mean WHY?!?!
I feel like I had accomplished everything (short of the 3rd legacy goal) with Iramath that I ever wanted, and then some. I had considered deleting about a week prior to this, but hung in there a bit longer. Once you get the desire to delete you should let it ride for a bit, but if it doesn't go away you should act on it. Basically, I came, I saw, I kicked its ass, and now I'm going home!
2. What the hell were your legacies?
Flow of Shadows and Fires of Adversity.
3. What was the bet you won with Qaledus and what was it for(I never did get anything)?
If I told you now, Qaledus would have to kill you.
4. Would you mind sharing with me any past characters or a known forum handle? I'm *dying* to know who played this character aside from Iramath.
Would it shock you to learn that I was Mekantos? I was killing time with Iramath before setting out for school. The school thing got pushed on the back burner though, which, amusingly enough, gave me time to be the Captain.
5. You said a couple days ago that you were thinking about stepping down(you can probably answer this question with #1) but that your war wasn't over for the forseeable future. Why the sudden change?
Yeah, I think #1 covers that well enough.

Well as wungar I am sure if I wanted to I could have stuck it out and been a maran again but you gotta realize I was bored before i got maran the first time, 200 hours before I deleted. As to iramath I liked you a lot I mean you actually role played being a squire when it was fairly obvious you were not a noob something that a lot of people don't do and I was impressed. With my rp I most likely should have never been captain but well I was one of the few presences in the cabal at the time so I got it by default you did a great job after I stepped down and the fortress flourished. Keep up the good work.

Posted by Vorroth on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Sad we could not continue our travels. I enjoyed your company. And I had alot of fun by playing vorroth as he is, with you getting a bit annoyed with me running about doing my thing, which is the fun thing about being the char I am. Sad thing is that few hold the captain mantle in the fort for a longer period of time. I was hoping I would see more of you in my days to come.
Sad to see you go though. Luck with the next one.

35706, It WAS fun
Posted by Iramath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Honestly, in all my years on the game I have NEVER gone to the place we went. Kinda sad huh? Well, now I can say I have been, and I think I could navigate that place perfectly fine by myself after that. And the annoyance only happened a few times, because I'd be sitting there trying to get a plan or lead the group and you'd suddenly bolt off! I'd have to run after you and then the whole plan would go to hell! Argh! ;(

When my char passes Ill post my mail, perhaps it will explain some more. Luck with the future chars. I hope you stick to the "right" or "light" side. As a side note I knew we would do extreemly well together, and the three of us that ventured could have faced just about anything and gotten out on top. Especially with how it was working when I was not "running" around... *cough*. Heck you have to play your role eh... Vorroth

35657, "The catalyst"
Posted by Wilhath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Take pride in knowing that you were often the catalyst for a lot of happy-fun-time logins. You'd log in and be maybe the only Fortressite and 15 minutes later I'd be up to my pits in Maran. I always hated that, but it was fun making comments about it over cb and hearing everybody agree.
Anyways, way to be a massive pain in the ass. I always knew what was coming, the old "Drive-Vinson-Down-and-Gang-the-Hell-Out-of-Him" tactic or "Make-Vinson-Curse-the-Name-of-Onirakoth-by-Blinding-Him" tactic.
You knew how to raise the game of those around you and you made an elf warrior fearsome. I applaud you for both. Well done.

35705, RE:
Posted by Iramath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Heh, you know I really didn't know what to think about the log-in thing. I did notice it a few times, but hoped it was just coincidence. See, my logins can be all over the place...hour here, hour there, etc, so it's hard for me to know if people are actually going out of their way to join in once they see me. You were also a "catalyst," for the imperials. But it was sort of the other way around. Once you'd leave they'd all suddenly become complete pussies. I remember it was just me and one other Maran on one time and there were four imperials (with available neutral lackies), but they didn't try ANYTHING because you weren't there. Really disheartening. That's not your fault though.
And I'm glad I was a pain in the ass. I couldn't believe how well my little driving tactic worked. Just wait until I make a whip spec!

Well there went the only mortal left that I really looked forward to seeing. Crap. I guess I'll have to start hanging around Sydrian now... but he's harder to make fun of! What can I say? I had loads of fun with you.
I think one of my favorite memories was when we were in front of the battlefield and giving eachother ####, and I shook my fist at the heavens and shouted out, "Farg Shokai, why do yer burden me wit' so many damn elves!" Then we heard some Shokaiesque laughter on the wind. I know there were several times I just laughed right out loud at my computer at things that happened between us.
I don't feel like many people really "get" Heas, but you did. I'll miss having someone who understands Heas' RP. We also worked great together as a team, anticipating eachother and landing kills. Why did you delete you bastard?!?!!?!?! Bah!

Hey, Sydrian isn't so bad! Give him a try, but god forbid you should ever duel each other. I guess if you do don't post logs of it for people to bitch about! And yeah man, we definitely understood eachother. The dwarf vs. elf mentality is so fun to play out.
Take it easy, and keep the Fort in good shape.

There goes Gin's bestest and oldest friend still alive. It was so unexpected when you deleted, you were even in the midst of regearing! Gin is one unhappy angry human now. }( Anyway I enjoyed Iramath's char too..many many good times. Remember us as squires, and you saving my ass from starvation in a kitchen! Real pity you deleted, Fort just lost the best thing it currently has. You owe us all one! }( Have fun with your next. ;)
p.s.I feel like an idiot for dropping Seeker..now I can't pick it up :)

35703, Double Doh!
Posted by Iramath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Hehe, you must be the only person who has ever starved in a KITCHEN! It was fun, Gin, and I hope you can keep doing your thing.
How did you drop my spear?! That's weird, because when it got disarmed in front of the palace the imperials managed to get it inside somehow. Funky!
On a side note, I wish the Imms would start immolating or smiting people who run off with leader weapons. It's a pain in the ass, especially when you have a role addition that says "I won't any other spear aside from the one that Shokai made for me, because it would be a dishonor to it and Him."

Posted by Iramath on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
How could I forget a pain in the ass of your calibre? I pretty much despised you IC because you are an evil in a position of great authority over the "good people." The reason I held off on attacking you outright, though, was based on pure practicality. I knew if it came to that the whole Fortress would jump in, then you would have all the excuses you could ever want to (continue to) join up with the imperials and bring the other tribunals along for the ride. The effect would be two cabals coming at us as one, and as we all know, Tribunals have sick advantages against criminals. Basically, I was trying to save the skin of the people in the Fortress. I didn't abandon my mission to get rid of you, though, and was trying my hardest to de-throne you. The funny part, though, is that right before I was going to delete I had decided that the next time I saw you, I was going to bring in everyone I could and kill you, thus starting a little bonfire. But I never saw you! Dammit!
