31760, Some farewells

A few of the people that made my playing Shazmin fun. This is based on my
experiences in hero range. I can't remember anything from the early levels.

Aytak. Mr. Nice Guy himself. Not that I have any complaints.

Thorst. Fun talks early on. Thanks for bothering to get eq with me later on.

Krystia. Cool priestess. I found your roleplay fun and appropriate. Shazmin
found you a little too motherly for her taste, but endured it to heap the
rewards of having a friendly healer near. I loved your "program statements".
The only (minor) criticism I can offer was what I heard of your origin. Perhaps
consider a more likely event (in CF) to have shaped your life for your next
character. But hopefully, that one will be long in the making. A healer is
very good company ;-) I hope you have fun now that you are lvl 51.

Tyke. Beastly.

Thresinok (sp?). You fun, manly beast thingie.

Blitz. Well done. I would have liked a one-on-one after I got to 48, but next
time, I guess.

Kaerdil. Wow. I don't think I could ever get you unless you were AFK - you
seemed to evade every spec move I had. Cool tells from you.

Vandryn. Thanks for fighting me.

Urog. We had a few fun fights.

Pearriph. Thanks for fighting me. Dirt kick is your friend.

Azar. I can tell you know what you are doing. Have fun. I enjoyed
that drawn out fight in the past.

BTW, Iden is still quite embarrassed about getting you killed that one time...

Was hoping to have the opportunity to keep making it up - that's not going to happen now...:(

Good to have known you.

Since Thorst is still alive, I can't go into too many details. Trying to play a neutral is a lot harder than I first imagined. I must admit Thorst did his to ensure you did not enter outlanders, but I'll get more into that on my tombstone, if it's important at that time.

Anyways, I thought you were a really cool player. Not in the lines of a killing machine, but how I pictured a drow mistress should be.

I hope to run into another of your characters some day.

Ps. I never did find that gralikon in the underdark *wink*
31862, Glad you liked them. Enjoy your next character. nt

31744, Navel-gazing reflections

Disclaimer: The following has been written for my own sake. I present
it since the content might be judged amusing by others, but be warned,
it is mostly of a therapeutic value to me alone. Farewells will follow
in another post.

Well, what can I say? I shot myself in the foot so many times with this
character, that is was bordering on the pathetic (I have always been a
lenient judge of character).

I have wanted a dagger spec for a long time. I think I have made around
5 warriors with this purpose in mind, but they all get deleted before
lvl 25. The last one was Sharazza that I had a very fun session with around
lvl 18 (thanks Loniet!), but otherwise was just very un-fun and sucking in
general. I wanted to go battle, defender, but since I had not seen the
then present commander in 70 hours of play, I decided to try scion.

I think I had a reasonable angle which might have led Mekantos to induct me.
However, it was not that suited for mortals. I saw Mekantos once, just as
I was more or less forced to do some other stuff. Too bad. Aytak's playing
hours coincided with my own, so I thought I might talk a little with him.
But of course I had to make a complete ass of myself. Mekantos deletes, so
I write a note to the cabal. I didn't know about Eshval then, she sends
me a tell, I can't see who it is, so I disregard it. There is no chancellor
at this time, so my character and I find it a waste of time to initiate
talks with: Hello, are you a scion?

Shazmin gets to level 43. I have run around a bit with some outlanders and
Tjok sends me a tell where he asks whether I seek the outlanders. My feeble
attempts at getting into Scion had proven unsuccessful, so I give his question
due consideration. Sure, I want it. I didn't know at this point, that Tjok
was unable to induct evils, should he have found Shazmin worthy in the first
place.

Incidentally, I had days before added some crap in my role (I felt I
had to add something...) about how stupid I found outlanders to be. Hmm,
so how do I explain this sudden turnaround. The best I could come up with
was something lame about spiritual growth, blah, blah. (Hey, just remember
the seventies). Plain ####.

So for 90 hours I ran around without any coins and tried to fight a few
tribunals and imperials. Of course, I just sucked. But I did learn a couple
of things. I didn't know there was an outlander FAQ for instance (adamantite
is apparently more bad than other metals). I think the basic requirements
for outlander life is pretty easy to get. I still managed to find myself
in a group with a duergar and not realizing it for 20 minutes. Yeah, some
people are just that slow.

I would never have inducted myself into outlander, but I didn't want to throw
away yet another dagger spec without having tried it out. And hey, perhaps
someone out there would be even more lenient than myself. Yeah, right.
I could have tried to get to 51, but in the end, I think I could have more fun
doing another char on CF.

Aww... I'm really sad to see you delete. I really liked Shazmin as the player and character. Always felt bad that you waited all that time and never got inducted into Outlanders, but if you were flip-flopping at the last minute, it probably would have taken some time. I did always let others know that I thought you would make a good candidate for us, though. You were also one of the few that I would accept help in a raid from. You were a good character and will be sorely missed.
31767, Ahhh.

That explanation clears a few things up. Thanks and good luck with the next.
