Not. To sum up my experience with Zad: I fell asleep at my keyboard three times in the last two weeks, waiting in a snare for someone to happen by.

Thank you to the Outlanders, especially Lyristeon and Andrlos, who helped me to get in in the first place. Great cabal. Thanks for the title too, I probably would have auto-deleted if not for that. The cabal is lovely, my race and class were not.

To the IMPS and whoever else watches these things: Do something to make rangers not complete sitting ducks when they stray into civilized areas. Bear call, maybe a legacy, new magic spells...something. I like laying an inescapable trap as much as the next guy, but if you can't win without an inescapable trap, something is wrong.

Good luck to the mortal Thar-Erisians who will carry on, in Zad's place, against some impressive odds.

I've known you from a couple characters, and remember when
your induction was up in the air. Wood-elf ranger classes
you can be in for a real beating if you dont keep the fights
on your own terms, but kudos trying it.. Something is sticking
out in my mind though seeing this con death up here...
Is that why you were throwing yourself at a raid you couldnt win
even while a younger outlander was already in the motions?
Other than that i've liked you from the start.

Try another outlander without the frailities of a wood elf.
I think what was holding you back most was the only good
fighting in wilderness thing. Try a warrior or somethin,
you'll like it im sure.

I tried, and had fun pissing off my opponents (also showing the citizens of Galadon how silly those laws really are). But rangers, especially with no axes to dual and scandalously low hp, are not my cuppa.

...to be killing machines they need axes and to be able to take advantage of vulns, especially at hero. Ranger staff and spear are all nice and comfy for RP purposes but if you want killing, dual wield axes and do insane damage.

Staff is ok but i see no real reason for using a spear unless you are in desperate need of weapons, in which case i would use a staff. Humans are best for a ranger IMHO. I never really understood why people made wood-elf rangers or elf rangers.

Not everything is about pk. Some roles just don't suit cloud giants.

Wood-elf rangers can tool. So can wood-elf druids. Just depends how you play, really. Plus, being smaller and faster definitely has its advantages at times. Just stay away from iron and you're set. As for elf rangers... well, your guess is as good as mine. I played an elf ranger as one of my earlier characters and never won one PvP fight even when in my own element. If you want the greatest challenge, in my opinion, try getting an elf ranger to hero with a decent PK score.

Real life gets in the way for a few weeks and my buddies start dropping like flies. I really enjoyed the carousing we did. Good character all around, I thought. I essentially agree with the points you've made, too. Good job, see ya in the fields.
