I am an old fogey, thank you very much. It won't be long now...
Anyway, I vastly enjoyed our time together; whenever I got too cocky, you were there to slap me down. I was hoping to be with you at the Fortress defending against some raid when I died, but that would take some rather fortuitous timing, to say the least. It's sad to see you go, but I'll have to start a new character soon anyway. Really. Honestly.
Please feel free to email me if you want,

What the hell? I can't believe you deleted, we had so much more fun to have. The fortress is feeling a little bare now. Well, I had fun, and loved our interactions, good luck on your next, and its tall, dark, handsome, and caring damnit!! None of that childish cute crap ;P.

Damnit all to hell! did you even hear what I told you before I logged off if you did then you deleting makes me even angrier. I'll miss the times we went exploring around Thera. You were the first person to take me to Arboria and later, to that place where the elemental killed me while you tried to save Sekera *snort* but I didn't mind that. I always considered you a friend because you saved my life on numerous occassions. There's not much else that I care to say except that I will do "it" damnit if you stick around you'll see I promise... later... Lei

*chuckle* After reading back in my logs, I noticed what you said to me, though at the time I was in combat and completely missed it. I didn't think you were still around after not seeing you for a while. It was a shame too...I was hoping to show you some more places. Lirellia considered you as a quirky fella, but still a friend she could count on. In any case, luck to you...and send my regards to Kirjava if you ever see her around.
Cheers,

Phew, what a ride. Well, this was my second character past level 20 in two years time. If anyone remembers Rodale from ages ago, a felar assassin Arbiter, that was my last attempt at a decent persona. I have to say that the conjurer class can be quite powerful and I daresay diverse *ducks in defense* at moments, though up to this day, I still can't figure out a decent usage for some of those new (earth) elemental skills.
I created Lirellia without intricate roleplay in mind, instead I wanted her to be much more of an exploration character, which worked well. Some folks might be curious as to my deletion...and to those, I'd have to say that I would rather leave at a time when people remember me than fade away into nothingness.
In any case, there are a good number of goodbyes I would like to give:
Elshadir: Witty and sarcastic to the end, lovely combination. You keep on telling me that you're an old fogey but it never quite seemed your time. I had intended to delete the moment you became a ghost, but that never seemed to happen. :P Mastruviel: Taught me a few things, it was fun travelling with you. Thalmond: Also taught me quite a bit, when we first met, I could tell you knew what you were doing...and it showed as time went by. Nedrio: You have no idea how many folks in the Fortress don't trust you. :P Fun interaction and travelling with you. Sokera: Frankly, I was surprised when you deleted...does it help that I finally know how to use the horn? :-) Serrina: Interesting character and a well played healer. Not quite sure what's up with you playing matchmaker all the time with Derexal though...*blink* Derexal: The perpetual punching bag, a ball of laughs. Looks like you may never get rid of the "childish cute" aura. Satinka: Geez, you're playing that role well. I loved interacting with you, sorry we weren't able to finish helping Braiden earlier. Igakaie: I would have never considered seeing a mage as a Maran, but there you are doing a good job at it. Lorniver: My one and only student in the Tower. *chuckle* I hope everything goes well for you, you seem to have good potential. Karithia: Lovely story for your character, I regret not embroiling myself into it more. Lewellyn: Now, you're a curious case. I don't know whether to thank you or bop you on the head. Keep rocking.
To the folks in the Fortress: It might be my personality, but I love the warm atmosphere there and the sense of solidarity. I know I'm probably forgetting folks in this farewell...but to all, I'd like to thank you for making it enjoyable. The one thing I would like to request, from the immortals, though, would be to have a way to "trust" everyone who is part of the Fortress like there is a "trust_cabal". I think that it would be reasonable and not over-powering....and would make sense in a roleplay sense.
To my rivals: I'll try to stay away from the folks that whined and whimpered after a fight, those that brushed themselves off and came time and again impressed me.
Intronan: Good job playing an assassin, the one time I was able to kill you at the village...seemed like it only occurred because you lost your link and was unable to flee. (Though I wasn't going to stop when I had three villagers fighting me at the same time). In the end, hopefully I was able to make it even. Jubornl: I enjoyed our talks and occassional skirmishes. I had hoped for more once we both heroed, but you started showing up less frequently. Caelph: I have to say, you have chosen a tough role to play and have stuck to it for so long. It's a shame that the balance never quite seemed right for us to travel together when we were both around at the same time.
To Sylvan: I generally tried to stay neutral with you folks, preferring to talk first (since there were a lot of good hearted folks) and tried to reconcile our differences. More times than not, it ended as an utter waste and we'd start fighting again. Oh well.
(Though, I did enjoy reading the notes you posted to everyone, Illvenristo. Good material.)
To Battle: Of the several times I've fought you folks, it's tended towards three vs. one of me...but the fights were still fun. I'm not sure if the new philosophy is all-together the best thing though.
To Scion: You folks would be much stronger if the key characters showed up more frequently. Towards the end of Lirellia's days, I could go on for many hours at a time without ever seeing a hero Scion log on. Though, I must admit...the 8/9 vs. 8 we had at the Fortress and to the lesser extent at the Chasm was insane. :P
Cheers,
-- Lirellia/Rodale
PS: Don't age-die so quickly next time, Andulvar! I was hoping to travel with you much more. :P

Bye, Lirellia. It was fun, take care.

Yeah, that was pretty fun, one of those fights that I wish I had the log. Maybe it's coincidence, but I think my favorite multiple-enemy fights involved a conjurer on my side. There's something about having a solid foundation to move around and play.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading my notes wish I would have interacted with you more.. hated when I would attack you and you would talk to me while I was gettin my ass kicked. really annoying.
*is goin to make a conjurer that does this when he gets attacked with an archon and elemental*
*emote picks his nose and flings it at you*

Ok, never knew your char bla bla bla.
The one thing I would like to request, from the immortals, though, would be to have a way to "trust" everyone who is part of the Fortress like there is a "trust_cabal". I think that it would be reasonable and not over-powering....and would make sense in a roleplay sense.
That would be very stupid. Back when I had a char in Dawn, a few chars would 'screw up' when I was defending. They would bless me so that I couldn't warcry or frenzy so that I couldn't flee and heal a bit with berserk then go back to defending and so on. Most Dawnie Paladins and Healers would annoy me with this. Now that's already bad enough, trust_cabal would screw things up even worse, specially with some people in Dawn. I don't know the frequency of incompetence in Maran or Warlock tho. Plus, it would render trust_all pretty useless. I was gonna give some more reasons but damn... wouldn't ya know it, they slipped my ass err... mind.

2259, To be honest...
Posted by Intronan (Guest) on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
That time you killed me? I didn't lose link at all. I was a friggin moron. I clawed you, and to me, it seemed like you fled, walked right back in and magic missiled me to death. Blew my mind. I'm sure it wasn't exactly that quick, but it seemed that quick to me... I was completely and utterly positive you still couldn't cast. When you did, my mouth dropped and I stood there like a knuckle dragging moron until I realized that hey, I should flee... of course by that time I was dead. Nice job. Your last raid we knew you were around, and completely had it planned how we'd take you down... and you still almost pulled it off. Well done.

I too enjoyed our interactions and conversations, and it was more fun for me when we were both lower in level. Since I got to 50, most of the time when I log in, there is no Scepter and there are about 5-7 of Warlock/Dawn/Maran/Sylvan sitting out there with no allies for me. Finally I am getting good enough to get out without dying, but it still ends up feeling fairly pointless. I burnt out on this after a while but am trying to find the heart to play the character more.
You played an excellent conjurer as far as I could tell, and you were a fairly aggressive warlock which I like to see. Good luck with the next character and feel free to make an evil. We need the help at the times of day you play.

Yeah, sorry about that. I did mean to give it back...but every time that I had it you weren't around and every time I used it up, you showed up. :P For some reason it just wasn't meant to be. As for losing half your gear getting it...there really is more way to skin a cat. (And not lose your clothes over it) Anyhow, keep rocking.
Cheers,
