Death tells you, 'CHECKMATE'

Hey hey, decided I'd finally delete after 295 hours of Nexus
fun. Was going to try and do something new with Nexus stuff but
I got killed and went through my usual steps of regearing for the
millionth time. Here's my equipment during 99.9% of my life
(excluding the last .1%, in which I had two Boa Constrictors. Thanks
Malinran and Tierna!!

Fingers: Mithril rings
Neck: Sandy desert cloak
Head: None or Crown of the pearl tritons - Thanks Jhaelryna :)
Body/Arm/Leg/Shield: blood-stained tunic and/or Snow Worm
Wrists: Usually none, but sometimes golden chain bracelet
Wielded: None... ahem.. Invoker touches

I must say, I really did enjoy this character and though it tapered
off near the end, it still sorta rocked. Had 9 Con now when I deleted
(Ahem, thanks Gre for being responsible for about 3 points or so,
the cloud giant berserker axe & mace crew that was about during his
time for another 2 or 3 points, my idiocy for about 2, and the rest
spread amongst the other lovable Villagers like Wiglaf or Findlebisk).
In all honesty, I thought Kaavraus needed a rest. Sure I spent 150
hours heroing and mastering spells (which I will -never- do again, no
class is worth that), but I'd been through enough to make me happy.

Anyways... First Invoker... First Non-Evil... First Nexus... First
character with over 250 hours... really popped my cherry on this one.
Here... are my goodbyes:

Nexus
Loved the people in it, loved the concept, loved the miscellaneous
Moderator-Imm who gave me the title. I just hated the Moderator's
judgment on who tips, that mofo needs to learn to count the non-
good/non-evil that helps each side, or to be treated as more of a
guideline than an exact. Then again Vahlen always stressed
flexibility in his religion, and likely also was the case in the
cabal and the leaders never used it. Speaking of Nexus Leaders:

Erinphalis: I liked you a lot... you were very flexible with a lot
of things leadership-wise, which was nice. You were also into getting
into brawls on the spot... which was nice. I liked that.

Kucerael: Now come on... you become Elder Magus and the first thing
you do is write a scroll talking about respect? Kaavraus -- hated --
that. I thought there would be a change... there wasn't. Hey, if you
are about protecting the pillars... and you see an enemy (BATTLE) who
are all about destroying one of them... OBLITERATE THEM... get down
and dirty with them, screw your sets of precious clothing... take all
their crap and don't whine if they take yours... its expendible. I
don't give a flying f--- what the other side thinks about me... they
die... and that's that. I hate this 'I hope I don't offend the people
who are my arch-nemesis'. Aside from that though, you were always
roleplaying well (kinda like a uptight holier-than-thou drow, as
opposed to a gnome), but you were very consistent and I can see why
you became Magus for that.

Furthiniklib: Didn't see you much recently (nor anyone else for that
matter, I think they all rolled up their Imperials), hope it all goes
well.

Ikdell: We did some decent damage together that one time. Invoker and
Ranger bonded combo is pretty neato.

Punblinpo: As I said in your goodbye, awesome spec/legacy combo idea.
You were always fun to fight alongside on the few times we did.

Sokoerker & Urzkoo: I liked you both a lot, too bad neither of you
were around much as of recent.

Cassougi: Always up to fighting Villagers. Always asking me to help
you get something :). Ah well, hope you get whatever you want.

Battle
Gre: Hated you, wanted to see you die, over and over and over again.
You killed me in my youth, you killed me in my older years... I wanted
to just return the favor... and rarely got to.

Rhomelanthos: Fun fun fights with you. I wish you really woulda killed
every potion-quaffing warrior you saw, I could have used more
allies :).

The Other Cloud Giant Axe/Mace Berserkers: Was glad you're all dead :)

Miscellaneous Defenders/Invoker Chow: Probably all glad I'm dead :)

Findlebisk: Aside from not seeing you anytime recent, after I fought
you once or twice and talked to you, I had a feeling the Village was
going to grow stronger very soon.

Sabiene: Liked our chats, you do the good-aligned Villager well.

Warlock
Jhard: You were fun to raid with, and thanks for all the help on
our river. Keep your shark's belly full of deathblowing rager punks :)
I think I got you pegged as to who you are.

Maran
Only one of you I spoke to nearly ever was Fahnrore, I think.

Sylvan
Didn't really talk to nearly any of you. All my past characters hated
Sylvans, so maybe I was slightly biased.

Tribunal
Orein: Thanks for the help in raids
Bard-Tribunal: I can't remember your name, but thanks for the help.
That little corpse-fest we had on the large crossroads ambush was
pretty cool and funny, even though the transie Tribunal died :)
Considering how short on time we were to get to the large crossroads,
lay the quicksand, and prep, we did real good.

Scion
Jhaelryna: Thanks for the crown. You didn't talk much.
Jolaerg: I wish I saw and could have hunted more with you. Must have
been tough with all the Maran and Sylvan after your ass. I might go
back to team evil after this.
Hvetlin: Sorry for hitting you with the geyser at the giant a long
time ago, I suppose, hehe

Empire and Co.
I am so glad the Empire's back. This'll make things pretty interesting
in the days to come. I get the feeling though that Empire's going to
have all the evils who are in mostly to fight cabal wars while Scion
nails most of the RPers.
Thornarcrull: Sorry to say this, but you were pretty nice and in
general very helpful, then once Empire shows up you give the cold
shoulder, trying to impress the man upstairs? :)
Sakard: I kinda didn't like you, you tried to lie to get me to join
your ganking squad in raiding the Fortress. Perdy evil there though,
that's commendable. I shouldn't like you :).
Navarro: I can't remember which movie character you remind me of, but
I'm pretty sure it's some sort of a selfish thug lackey with an
attitude. Sopranos maybe?

Thieves Guild Folk
I don't think any of you ever stole from me... thanks for that. If
you ever did, then you did well, because I never caught you. I
pretty much liked every single one of you: Gastaad, Moligant,
Malinran, I bet I'm missing some.
Gastaad: I liked the Grabathon 2003... nice work :)
Malinran: Gonna have to find another scroll-farmer to trade with.

Other
Tierna: Sorry, wanted to stay awhile longer, kinda hit me by surprise
once I died and had to re-gear that I didn't want to do that all over
for the millionth time. Wish you luck in finding alternate allies :)

To All Imms, Nexus and otherwise:
I did try to become an Immort, and I'm guessing it didn't pan out
probably because I had a role with some sort of a specific attitude
that I did not follow at all with my character. However, I do think
that I played a good arial and a good Nexan though. That sound about
right from your point of view?

Last note on the Nexus: When I joined I had no idea what it was about.
After awhile, I looked around, and found out that there was a deeper,
more well-thought out meaning to it. However, the Nexus never seems
to delve deeper into that... ever. That was my one big quarrel.

Until I delete again...

Kaavraus Sysak - aka. Kravidian/Vaustrien/Kuhkliva/Ktavialt - I'll
try to keep away from K-names from now on.

When I'm long gone, I'll explain the reason for the note about respect, etc. The same goes for the personality.

It was always good to see Kaavraus around. Good 'voker. I'm surprised you didn't go gunning for Elder yourself. You would have been good competition.

"Kaavraus chirps" Just precious.

Catch you in your next incarnation.

We had some fun times and one really solid roleplaying discussion about balance that was one of the highlights of the Nexus for me. I knew you didn't like Kucerael IC and I think you knew I felt the same so we bonded(bad pun) on that some as well. Sorry I haven't been around much but I felt like the rift ran off a cliff recently where noone is ever around during my playing times, which get shorter and shorter then, you know the drill. Anyway, thanks for some fun fights alongside and some good talks about balance. See you in the fields.

I'm the kind of guy that you like or not. I do not remember if we fought together villagers...then forgot about you then you started to speak back to me....I had plans for you damnit! Invokers are always handy in fights, quite deadly. Anyway, I'm gonna miss that chirping!

Thanks for the kind words. You were always fun to fight, always had some trap set up. I knew with sometime that I could get the ball rolling with Battle, and I'm glad its in a good state right now. I hope you had as much fun as I did with all of our interactions. About my time, well...real life can sneak up and bite your ass when you least expect it.
