The idea of a scout polearm warrior was great in concept, terrible under the testing of CF. I tried every tactic at my disposal and found out I am only good against defensive major transmuters. Unfortunately we don't fight much of them anymore (not like the previous ages when Masters were around).
On top of the distance seems to have been greatly weakened, and chargeset changed to be more realistic but weaker as well. So without the blasting damage of the berserker nor the ability to hide/ambush enemies, this warrior was a walking target. When I look at my pk ratio I cannot believe I won 60% of my fights, I don't think that is right... My constitution was 8 before I accidently killed myself with true sight because I forgot we didn't have the head *laugh*. Did that a couple more times til lower con then just deleted, realized I was just feeding the lich more phylacteries.

Goodbyes,
I was hoping to immortal with this character but then when I got into the village (thanks Kastellyn, great interview) I got a new job and had to move to another city. Because of that, I had little access to the internet besides the good old lunch hour (which many of the village could bank on me being there during that time). I apologize to everyone that I cut link on or became unresponsive, sometimes I spilled my playing time over into work time and when work called I had to go do that at the instant it called. So I was forced to become the casual player that is impossible to get any kind of immortal interaction when you appear only for an hour every day over lunch (was more like 45 minutes). I needed some kind of interaction so I could get a chance at immorting, but that seemed to be really really tough when you are around for so little and the immortals can see you except for that really short time.
Deletion came quickly after when I would play and die, four or five times during reequiping. And because I had just a limited time to play I couldn't just "log off and wait for the enemies to leave". So above level 40 (where I spent most of my life) turned into an ego crushing, spirit crushing constant dying/requiping cycle. To all those people who just say "go to an obscure place and hide out" and do what? Can't really get equipment there, can't really help your cabal, can't really sit there and be able to quickly get back if the village gets raided. You had to be around and close and in the thick of things. And when you did finally get to a far away place, good old eye o intregue would find you and by the time you walked back you were face to face with horde o scions. Needless to say it was getting very tough to have fun.

Battle: I love this cabal to death, but its just so hard to be in. Only the hardcore people play it and even then most of them delete. The deletion in the village is higher than any other cabal and I think its because skills are so unbalanced between the three battle choices. Scout skills revolve around being able to hide out. Defender skills are useful but holding your own as a defender against any odds besides one person is very tough. I would think a defender would have monsterous defense, like permenantly resisted or a raised resistance. Add on top of that a spell resistance instead of spellbane that lessens or stops the magic attack but does not return it. They need something that makes people say," hey defenders! that sounds fun!". Not the people who take it up because they love the cabal so much and feel guilty making another berserker (see the battered wife syndrome here). Anyway, I would cry some more about no leader and immortal abandonment but I'm guessing they have their reasons.

Intronan: you are very good at your job. You should have been leader long long time ago.

Kraern: I always loved that roleplay, no magic means no magic damn it! I remember a felar warrior a long time ago in battle who picked hand to hand and leveled to like level 35 before being inducted. He was completely naked up to that point because he didn't want to taint himself with magic. And after that point he did what you did. I think he died or deleted in the late 40's. I think there should be a fourth group of villagers that take up this line of thought and have some even more strange anti magic abilities (like the ability to dispel, or spellbane has an aura that slowly dispels magic in the room).

Armand: A very good character but Destial hated you. I could never understand when you dueled someone why you had to slaughter them even when it was not to the death. Villagers have enough problems with con loss. You took a whole con from me doing this and would always be, "oh sorry, meant to flee" when you were cranialling me at convulsing. How many other villagers you end up killing? 5 or 6 others in du els that were not supposed to be to the death? geez, talk about a morale killer, it was a mean thing to do to people who already had the world against them. You roleplaying was great and all and you choose a difficult thing to do (just as I pick strange combinations to see if I can do them) but damn, keep some thoughts out there about the player behind the character.

Sargon: Although you are long gone, you kept the village alive (although barely since you didnt have any help) and I can understand why once the village seemed to be returning to life you deleted out of sheer exhaustion of the character. Good job, I commend you.

Sharisalk: Interesting character, useless leader. Assassins never make good leaders especially in this here day and age with assassinate/constant need for hiding. I was stoked when you showed up for like 6 days in a row and inducted a bunch of new villagers, but then you shortly disappeared. Another leadership void in the village lasting months.

Thror: The IC note is what destial thought, but as a player you are very good and keep up the good work. Just one suggestion, a little more guidance of the cabal would go a long way in keeping people rumbling in the village. You just don't understand how motivated a player gets when Thror comes down and starts yelling, "get out there and fight and win!" You need more of that because the village is a place with millions of ego crushing times and only a bright spot every once in a while. If you were visable a little more and inspiring the characters (and players because its some form of immortal interaction), deletions would definately go down. Granted I know nothing of your schedule or RL stuff so don't flame me too much.

Scion:
A cabal that has no real direction, cause, want, whatever. Nightwalkers need to be toned down. I cannot tell you how many times fights against a scion would be me totally winning, but you add in the nightwalker and I lose hands down. That nightwalker hits like a truck, does a slittle flurry, causes bleeding, poisons, acid blasts? Christ, at level 41 fighting hero nightwalkers I could not last more than two or three rounds with polearm distance.

Kanar and Karvicius: Ahh the permagrouping twins. I could not understand why immortals would bust people on permagrouping but you two got away with it. There was never a time you were without the other. I only caught you guys separate when one had to go buy food and the other was too lazy to escort them. When I caught you alone, you died to me, when you were together had a very difficult time (although there were some close ones). Talking ##### in the game and talking ##### by notes is much different. Try not to give into such childish antics. When someone dies 5 times in a span of two hours and cuts link so he doesn't rage delete, the last thing a PLAYER wants is some ##### face writing him a note rubbing it in his face. Please don't be so childish.

Reddyn: Lich vs. scout warrior polearm spec, basically means death to me. I had a plan to get you outside the village that would have worked but you got the sleep off on me because Kolun gave me some misinformation on your location. In ardihol, I could have fled and lived but it came down to one action, drive. If it worked you would have been forced to recall or die from my group, if it didn't, I would die and everyone else shortly after. Needless to say, it failed (of course). :)

Gaenlin: the anaconda. I had no idea of its powers and I was like, "what the hell is that?!" and then bam. That thing regerates like a mother fucker and also. A bard/anaconda combo would be disgusting if you can wrap them up without wakin them from bard sleep. it would be group assassinate.

Nexus: Bladjix: always fun fighting you, I think the first few times we clashed you were not used to fighting warriors, as you got to hero and got more understanding of your specializations, you did ver well, good job.

Warlocks: no one in particular.

Tribunal: no one I can think of.

Scarab: no one besides Aventres and that apoventres shaman/necro permagroup. I can only ask what happened to your permagrouping riend? He deleted and left you alone, I surely thought you would follow him but you didn't, I commend you on that at least.

Thanks all, I'll be back with another one in the village probably soon enough.

I had always hated you Destial...I hated you so much I made a rager. I had tried to play a true neutral human conjurer and kept getting killed by angels...I was on a roll one time and you came and killed me a couple times and it was utterly disheartening. So I made a rager on the principle of "if something seems strong, try it out". And then I ended up liking you after all, go figure eh?e

I don't know what all possible tactics you talk about. I saw you always use only 1 (ONE) skill. All the time. Even a rager giant warrior is not always about cranial.

Here's a short log not to prove my words. You couldn't even think of a murder command instead of cranial. Shame.

*laugh*
Against a bard cranial is most effective and if you were playing Xillinas you know I switched to polearm soon after. If you were Bladjix, maces worked well against you (and you know it because I slaughtered you constantly). You just seem a little bitter, why are you so contantly a prick on the forum? Cranial is a very effective skill and it has lots of applications (except against maybe invokers now). I utilized polearm skills against different enemies, against bards, I used mace first then switched to polearm to cutoff and bash to limit the flee/sleep tactic Xillinas and every other bard used. And Bladjix, cranial doing DEVASTATES to you and lagging you? what am I supposed to use bash seeing that I could not bash you because you were too small and my tripping was not that great?
In that situation, I probably got my aliases screwed up or you just made it up. My goodness can you be more of a prick? I don't think so. Just go away. THanks, bye.

You cranialled your cabalmate doofus. He was slept and you used cranial to wake him up.

What kind of crack are you smoking?

Reread the log. I wasn't even there. I didn't post it.

You slaughtered me constantly? Certainly not alone.

I hate to leave a negative good-bye note, but what can I say, there was nothing I liked about this character. You talk more OOC than I did with my first character. Is everything a perma-group to you? You realize that you are breaking the rules when you say the words "perma-group". You quite literally spoke more out of character to me than you did in character, which made me hate you as both a player and character. Damn you are a whiny bitch. And you whooped me? You beat me once in Hamsah because I had just got done fighting another person and had no mana, and fled the wrong way five times, and finally got out, and the old Chancellor of Transmutation led me back to you on accident. To even say that you killed either Kanar or I one fifth the amount that we killed you is ludicrous. You killed me once, and between the two of us, from what Kanar told me, we killed you about 15-20 times. I don't know how many times you killed Kanar. I will be honest, it became my goal in life to piss you off. I was amazed how pissed off you got at a game. If you would have Immed, I would quite literally have ##### myself. I'll have to find someone else to hate, with you gone. Take it easy, it's just a game. If you kill lots of people, view it as if you are a skilled player... if you get killed lots, think of it as Doom, just shrug it off, go get another good gun and bring the thunder some more. When you bitch and moan after getting killed, it only makes the person think less of you, and want to kill you until you are gone.
