We were using Team Evil (in the context Arvam is using) in our roleplaying discussions for a while before you started to make it a buzzword on the forums. Admittedly, it did make some of your posts sound funny to me. :P

It started way back near the founding of not-Maran-but-(MARAN), when Shokai and Leika kept getting ruthless applicants who didn't really grasp the nature of the cabal's militancy. Leika (who was, like Shoky, a tough interview) would ask about the differences between a true Maran and a Scion or former-Empire warrior, and one applicant told her something like "They have a red aura." This led to a lot of Team Capture the Flag type jokes, and I think all the "aligned" cabal leaders have since spent a lot of effort trying to make the cabals "feel" very different in this regard.
