Go on vacation for a bit and the provost bites the dust kinda a bummer. Never really got to run around with you much due to our clash in alignments, but you seemed to do an exceptional job as the provost.

It's always such a pleasure,
Remember when I tried to kill you all?

...haha, who doesn't love a mangled quote.

I'm very much known for taking a build I played before and giving it another spin. Sometimes back to back. This time was even funnier, I finished playing a shifter in September, then played a warrior in October, then rolled another shifter AGAIN, in November. Dammit!

CF is both love and hate. Even though I feel 700 hours is too short, I know my nerve cells will appreciate a break.

Goodbyes below as has become my tradition.

This loss hurts, and it will be angsted about in subsequent role entries. Thank you for being part of my silly little worried Fela's life, enriching it, and giving her someone to love and look to for inspiration. I very much enjoyed arpeeing with you across hundreds of hours and making people throw up in their mouths with our PDA. Thank you, also, for being much better at this game than I am and being instrumental in me getting back on my CF feet after a 3 year hiatus.

What an odd relationship.

A mutual respect and then a family connection?

You were a total boon to the game and I have nothing but the best to say about Laeden.

Come back soon. You killed it.

Our first interactions I had no clue you were a Tribunal when you were helping me chase Duergar Villagers and the Empire around the Lands. Then, I didn't have detect good up the first time I raided the Spire and you were defending. I literally had no clue I was killing a goodie.

I stopped assaulting the Spire for a couple of reasons, but the biggest one was because I later saw your (Gold Aura). My perspective was your aura misplaced on you, as your job as a Tribunal always seemed to out way what I saw your job as a goodie was. The only goodie actions I ever saw you take was dismissing your guards before I nuked them to death. And I thought it was reprehensible your defense of evils, especially anti-paladins in the Spire. But that said, I am sure you didn't see me as a goodie either as I always causing hell in the cities (as per your poem).

I had lots of fun trying to test and try you. My goal was to try to be your personal contrarian. Tell me not to sit in a city, well, I will do just that. Tell me not to attack your Tribunals, well hell, I will do that too. Tell me what to do to not get wanted, and I will do that, and then sit in your cities and attack your Tribunals. I never did seem to find the weak point in your RP to make you crack your Tribunalness in favor of being a goodie first.

Like Gaspere, you were a force of RP throughout Thera and even when one was not directly interacting with you, your name and actions would often come up in conversations with many others.

You'll be missed by allies and enemies alike, and GLWYN.

It was fun having you around. I had fun in all our interactions and I wish there was more of them. I hope you come back in another incarnation soon.

In Lathlaeril's mind he was forcing you to pay the price for your convictions just as he was paying for his own. He was also convinced that since you were within the Light, it was only a matter of time and persistence that you would surely see that the Light itself was Just and the tribunal law decidedly unjust. And I find it fitting that an elf would think that everything will become obvious soon, and then "soon" turns out to be longer than a felar's life span.

Farewell my friend, the proud felar hunting packs will tell your story for generations to come. In them they will rightfully find pride in times of peace and plenty, and hope and courage in times of scarcity and fear. May the Light embrace your soul and guide you to the felar hereafter.
127653, Thanks for having that
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I actually entertained the idea of leaving Trib, back when I had already met with problems but hadn't yet hit the middle point in age. But I was terrified of becoming stuck without a cabal, nor did I even want to go Herald a third time in a row. Plus, IC it'd be a weak decision, and not very in-character for Laeden.

Ballsy, wily, not suicidal but willing to take risks for the cause you claimed to believe in. Never got you but was good to have you as an enemy to give some entertainment.

I was always impressed by what I saw of this character. In my eyes, much better than some of your peers.

Interesting seeing that log where I iceballed all your moves because that so rarely happens these days. So I rarely bothered trying to land the curse to capitalise on it.

Well done and Glwyn.
127651, I interacted with Tsal on so many chars
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Bronri -- we fought as lowbies and then I teleported into Sitran. Ugh. Was kinda interesting to see a d-elf schmuck hold her own against The Bogeyman. Closer to hero I turned a new leaf and decided to go Scarab but you weren't around at the time.

Haraji -- fought you at hero and again, you held your own as a level 43, we never got each other. Had some cool talks.

Kowelu -- we were kinda friendly but I constantly expected you to turn hostile. I would turn on you myself if you ever killed someone in the Inn but you were always wanted so it never happened. Loved helping you kill ragers.

Efarem -- goddamn did you have my number. Even with my ridiculous prepping (even haste / accelerate). This pretty much soured me against trying azure warriors again.

Laeden -- "wow did she gain some damn power in those two years" was pretty much a summation of my thoughts. Had some cool talks, again.

EDIT: I just looked up my logs and apparently I also interacted with you as far as Einrai and Dhaiwr.

"I like you like Tanzer",
Me with no farewell song,
Maybe you don't like him,
And I took it all wrong.

While we can't look to you,
to sustain and fulfill us,
This slight turns to pain when,
You remember Agilus?!

All in jest, GLWYN

127665, You DARE?
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
My inspiration is a fickle thing
I wish I could take two weeks off,
And then go on wordsmithing binge
For all of you who never quaff.

Chorus:
Good ragers! Dead ragers!
Good ragers! Dead ragers!

I mean, it's not like I've forgotten
Unending wars and every slight -
No, I remember every stinking rotten
Magic-hating wretch I'd ever bite.

Chorus:
Good ragers! Dead ragers!
Good ragers! Dead ragers!

For every time I'd back my threats
You were becoming only tougher.
My time has come, there's no regrets,
But I'll be back, and you will suffer.

Chorus:
Good ragers! Dead ragers!
Good ragers! Dead ragers!

(Bye, Ild. I hated you less than most.)
127613, Was fun being on the same side.

That being said, Rudrriw was doing everything she could have to get you deposed.

Unlike Selionar and Kinaghe, I wouldn't have had you killed though. Potential mates are hard to find.

You were probably too nice to me, but I loved that you seemed like a "good" character. I'm glad I got to mess with the gold aura status quo a bit.
127612, Outstanding.

Posted by Umiron on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Tribunal has been blessed with fantastic leaders lately. Laeden was solid all around and probably deserved more attention than I had time to give, but alas. I'm particularly to see Tribunals whose lives involve more than just being a policeman in between exploring/gearing, and so it was a pleasant surprise to find Laeden regularly exploring avenues of RP unrelated to the cabal when he wasn't busy with that or related politics.

GLWYN.
127635, I did not know you gave me the lion!
Posted by Murphy on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I thought you referred to my new position as Provost when you mentioned "a gift". It was not until ten days later when I accidentally discovered I had a new form. And almost 80 hours too.

I thought I got it from Raltevio (when he gave me that knowledge charm).
