I had a pretty good run, but eventually real life kind of took control and I didn't have the focus to play anymore. I had a lot of projects still running, and my desire to see them through kept me logging in to work on them, but I eventually decided enough was enough and I needed to make way for the other guys to step up.
I intended Ergoth to be a throwaway character to help beef up an ailing Empire. He sort of grew organically from there and developed into a patron of the arts, a scholar of progress, and a faithful servant of Destuvius (Who is absolutely amazeballs, and everyone should give him a try sometime).
I was surprisingly deadly pre-45, but when I hit hero ranks people became far tankier, and far more conservative and my kills rapidly tapered off. STSF elves were my bane, and were one of the few things I possessed virtually zero chance of ever killing.
The highlight of this character was getting to have such a big hand in helping to shape Destuvius' growing religion.
There were so many awesome friends and foes in Ergoth's life that I cant remember them all. Post and I'll try to respond.
Saguntius - I had such high hopes for you. I was crushed when frustration and trolling led you to delete. Ergoth tried to see your dreams come true to pay due respect to a worthy friend, but ultimately the trust fund (plus extra) was passed off. Somewhere in the Imperial city there is a warehouse filled with imperfect statues, each bearing a single, perfect trait, with no individual statue embodying them all.

120168, You seemed quite reasonable for an evil guy.

Good talks. I should have been more hostile but damn, you never gave me much excuse to hate you! I mean, any other excuse than just "red aura".
P.S. Due to a technicality, singing vibratos in the city whilst having Troubadour will still be considered a crime if you aren't in Tribunal. (Because Tribunal law doesn't let you attack criminals in the city).

Ergoth was sphere Reason, so he was a rather reasonable fellow. ;)

Yeah. I can do that. Even as Illanthos, a lot of people who might've had fair reason to attack me didn't, simply because I was too relate-able. As a Lawman, Ergoth never saw you as a true foe, and would've rather used you to defeat his mutual enemies. Roleplay is overpowered.

I didn't actually have Troubadour at the time. I was attempting to get the paladin Tribbie who flagged me in trouble by insinuating that she messed up, and didn't do her research. If it turned out that I could get her in trouble by being a troubadour, I would taken that edge in a heartbeat, out of spite. Ergoth hated her with a passion, as she actively interpreted the laws in favor of the Light.

120179, Sorry for the late reply to this, somehow missed it earlier

Pretty much right from the start, you stood out as the 'best' of the new batch of Imperials. It was even more awesome when you popped into the shrine the first time. You were great to have around and I was incredibly disappointed when your times started to fall off. All in all, you were a perfect follower and a perfect Imperial. Thanks for that, and hopefully when you come back you will give the religion another go.
Which reminds me: as you were the first 'real' Dest follower, I plan to add a mob as tribute to you into the shrine. Could you shoot me an email with Ergoth's desc if you have it so I can get that added?

120137, Did you ever follow up on the statue idea?

Or pass the gold along to someone else?
