Damn man, that's just too bad, together we could do pretty much everything what we wanted, and when Lamahrya finally wished to join, we co do even more.

One thing though, the afk moments... man, those got me bugged out behind my screen... seriously, don't do that, you're letting people waste time, of which some of us don't have overly much. Ah well, other than that: I'll be waiting for your next one :)

Yeah the synergy of the classes was really good and the invoker was great extra sauce.

On the afk moments, I play from work a fair bit, which isnt too bad in the low levels but can be a real pain in the ass at high levels (speacial credits to the one fire giant guy who could of ganked me one time when i was afk, but didnt). Sometimes it seems I have like 2 hours to play straight with nothing to do and stuff gets busy and I either dont have time to log out, or forget to :P

Thoughts on build: Only real weaknesses were acid/defile and the difference was negligible in most cases. I only used more than class abilities a couple of times outside of group combat. This is my first pala and I felt like a gimped shaman in the low levels, and the poison/disease problem seemed like it might be an isssue, but it never manifested. First Fortress character, was an interesting change of pace, I fairly got slapped around in the low levels, and my penalty at hero made for a slow start in pvp. The fortress powers were absoloutely perfect additions to the build. It meant exploring, prep gathering and random teleports so much fun. I had a bit of a strange start hitting all the ancient dragon lairs in a day, which gave me plenty edge points to play with I went on to visit most of the areas, and feel I have a pretty good grasp on how things have changed since I played before. I tried to focus my edges on things I thought resonated with the character, storm born, twitchy (Instincts of the Jaguar :).

I seemed to not connect very well with Baerinika and I'm not sure if it was role, the rp or the fact I tend to be pretty dull when immphobia sets in. I had a good time and really enjoyed the titles, last name etc. The virtue I had was just amazing and turned my build into a more pvp serious effort. I tried to kill non sentients and demons/elementals to level up, but I might have killed some dark guards *not sure*. And I accidently waxed Relgar once during a tragic summon/wrath accident. Still my last two goodies were made less good over the course of their life, so it was a relief to stay full good :) I have to agree with the looting, I think i only had 2 really bad loots over 400 hours so that was decent. I found it ironic that the people that could kill me tended to avoid me, and those that had very bad match ups would still come.

Fortress :
Lamahrya : words can not express how much fun we had, from leveling in the Tower of Trothon to so much more hehe lol
Eaichainn (guy) - It was totally awesome to travel with you again, we didnt get to do much last couple of times around, I had to physically leave the place I was, or I'd of stayed the twenty more mins to see you off.
Illanthos : I understand your situation but I seriously kept hoping you'd lose that pendant through inactivity :P We had some good travels and i found you to be very competent.
Bhower? : Dwarf guy, who got me interested in joining the fort, you sort of disappeared on us :(
Clahier : You killed me so many times before, but that Fire giant in Market square made me lol, and I felt bad, cause i knew the guy on the understand was tabbing up going w t f
Nenvell : Hahha hahaha when Rogue meets Pro amazing. Sorry you deleted
Djoombra : Dwarf guy, I thought when you finally got it your turn around was insane, hope you get maranation soon
Tanion : I was really surprised I didnt make Marshall, I know you were pushing for it with the notes, and the immquests and what not and I was total fort noob, but I had no problem serving under you, you seemed like you played a few. Shame the Imm situation has you sitting out for the moment.
Gjif : Man I kept looking at you and thinking That build should work, and you kept dying horribly, but knowing its you, maybe its not doable :P
Semille : Keep up the good work
Randoniel : You showed me a few things I didnt know which is always nice, and I found you to be a great ally, sneaky killer, Maranation :P
Kycalbrium : Did we fight when you were in outlander or was that sindrai? I felt bad the times you died near me, sorry
Rosaline : You are very epic for a pala healer :)

Sure I am missing some one, hrrmn. any fortress I forgot, you obviously were groovy.

Outlanders
Riethan : That was class and I liked it, pretty sure we would both get spanked for it...
Sindrai : Dude that was totally gay when you sent me that tell, and you were someone (cause a certain someone does that) and were all like, Would the Sunwarden die for you, and I typoed my reply, but it made it sound positive. :P Tenacious D
Grafacut : Damn nice build man, I totally run in with like 1 hour of sanc that time with Oryontohr...
Oryontohr : Meh I've killed you so many times I guess its fair you got one back :P
Wyvern : Dude level up already, farming the level 40's is cheap :P Also I loved the headshot, well done on getting me again
Cgadi : Didnt see you much, tended to avoid neutrals
Balete : Dont think I got you I'm not much for hunting, I like to make the trap and wait too, so we didnt see each other much
Nythos : You were really cool man, good times

Empire
Alannah : That was some funny ####, I'm sorry you didnt get the shield :)
Imperial Warriors: Generally lol, learn to prep and stuff, get some saves, dont be suicidal
Imperial bards : God, bards are so powerful, get offensive, take the fight to your enemies.
Imperial Priests : You can really change things around ...
Imperial AP : Hahah

General imperial lowbies, sorry if you thought I was griefing you, but I was trying to see how many codex/scepter downs in the hours played.

Scions
Chancellor : God damn dying to you in arial city was dumb, and I'm sorry for being a semi douche after we ganked you that time, that poor monk guy got screwed.
Advisor : Tough fights, you have so many hps and the nightwalker flee return tactic was frustrating, even I fog tthe first hit I was as like to hit myself.. lol stupid nightwalker portals
Gorilla guy : Man you were awesome and scary

Battle :
Salyeris : Staying classy
Martel, Rathmuk, other evil berserker villagers, man I always fight those fights, cause like its nice to kill other people.

Nexus
Going to address nexans as a whole, other than Darikir none of them caused major problems, but with the light being in full power it was a bit fail for them to be powered up, and me to have very few abilities to respond (I know its the handicap of playing pala) and I got by ok.

Tribunal
I wasnt sure if I was gonna go tribunal this time around again, I rolled the char as a bit of a joke one night, having never played a pala before, and thinking I would maybe have a smoother imm experience this time around. That orc chugga though, I had to kill him and got wanted :) but I stuck around town and tried to stop raids on the spire and stuff as an address to the code, and my earlier transgression. I think i had more fun with marcatis on this char than my three previous tribs, but thats not saying much, it was awesomly funny, thanks.

Ziru : I really liked your character and thought you made a cool storm giant heh heh, it was difficult to work together given the similarities of our builds. I did really enjoy the rp we had though.
Islinic : No, Twist is not better than Baerinika...
Perr : You were great man, I loved the random shields
Tryphen : Dude sorry I got you killed in the Black Lair, that was dumb on my part, my bad, but I have a hunch you killed me by accident quite recentlly also.

Other tribs that told me not to sleep at the captain when battling outlanders in town, GTFO :) and not giving me deputy ><

Heralds & Explorers

Leric, Karylen, Diffle, Brindlebaum, The other A bard, and everyone else that came on an adventure with me, you were all awesome and I had a really good time exploring new things and showing some of theras secrets. Dont worry I always have something explorish around and I'm sure we will meet again in other incarnations.

Orcs:

Bah I hate orcs....

Wow. So, umm...hate to see you leave :)

Seriously, you were a good opponent, makes my life easier that you're gone though. Always prepared, always careful, so quite dangerous. Always gave off the aura of goodly paladin, too, but in a good way.

I always knew when you were around that I'd have a struggle holding on to the codex. I was almost never disappointed in that regard.

I did so want that shield, Enlilth wanted it for a shovel :)

I loved the times you managed to steal the codex from me by the way, didnt really like the sneaky tactic of making me wait for like 30 mins for it to get back to the council but heh I used it a few times against younger imperials. Today in the maus was pretty tense, i didnt have much mana after chasing you around, and its essentially a bad place to be generally, I was so waiting for the rest of the imperials to show up :) Sorry for all the Lightning, but you have to admit, it is pretty cool :)
109996, Good character..

I thought you did very well and don't worry about me dying...that was my first offensive shifter. I was trying to get the kinks out and still was in the Fortress. It definately wasn't me who attacked you...the only person of the light my character ever fought was Zirjuana. Were you a shield pally?

Posted by Salyeris on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
We had the typical battle/fort non-mage relationship, which was pretty much stay out of each other's way and check if the other had the scepter mostly.

I did like when you asked if I had the scepter, I said no and you offered to team up since neither of us had any who could fight against us to stop us, and whoever gets it gets it. It made a boring raid a bit more fun, working together with but against you at the same time :)

Hope to see you out there again soon.

I'm not gonna lie, I fricking hate fighting the archmage and his resistance to holy is just annoying. Given all my cool weapons were holy and not searing light >< I've interacted with Salyeris from so many angles and I like the char, its well rounded and joy to interact with so I figured I would create an rp opportunity and make my life easier at the same time. It was a really good fun raid too and it was nice to be able to study your abilities without them being directed at me for a change :)

I couldnt believe the out of range posted about it on dios I was just so like ...... it would just have been either one of us alone raiding the archmage, a totally dull prospect.

I can't honestly tell what you are saying to me in your message. Regardless, I liked Dracovius in general though and I think you were more capable against me than you think you were.

I liked our couple of interactions, the discussions were fun and you helped by prodding Ilthaniel towards going to meet Baer. Ilthaniel sold that earth-toned gear you gave him for 10 gold to shopkeepers and was totally going to offer you half of the selling price as your cut. The issue we disagreed upon was my Outlander-made Grmwen-hide container. You frowned upon it for some reason, but Ilthaniel had no qualms with using a container made from hide of an Imperial (or essentially, a character whose killing Ilthaniel would approve of), found in his precious hometown of Darsylon (Grmwen had deleted a couple of months earlier, in April, I checked fairly early on from the Battlefield that it wasn't a goodie's hide after getting the sack and waterskin). Since Ilthaniel was sphere purity, I was going to discuss the issue of the container and waterskin with Baer to get reasoning for stopping to use them or a mandate not to, but Ilthaniel never got that far.

Ilthaniel ended up accidentally autoing at level 8 after 47 or so hours of play so we didn't meet again. This was sort of a bummer, since the character leveled primarily by obs/exp xp, which is sort of slow when you actually read the descs and thoroughly explore the areas (Galadon, for example, took 3 hours for 0 gain).

In short, Dracovius was sort of a direction-setting character in Ilthaniel's life and that was a good thing. Good luck with your next!

Thats a tough burn for 47 hours of work, I didnt really get to know you, but I do recall lighting the way so to speak, for a number of lowbies. See you in the fields :)

I never would have guessed that you played your previous two align-dropped goodies. Dracovius, to me, was pretty much always solidly in the orderly good world, so big props for really stepping up what good means. I do think this is easier as a Maran than a Tribunal or even an Acolyte because of the basic black and white nature of a Maran, but even still you did pretty good.

As far as connection, you're pretty spot on there. Your role was very Code-centric and not so much Baer-centric. There might have been a misconception here that because Baer makes her paladins be hardass about the code that she is all *about* the Code, but that's actually pretty much the opposite of the case. She just thinks that, as sphere purity, if you're going to say you'll follow the Code, you need to step up and do it, plain and simple. But her whole faith concepts are different, in essence. So I'd try and ask you about courage and you'd talk about the Code. I'd ask about purity, and you'd be like Code is great!

So, you were a GREAT "CODE" paladin, but we never really connected on the heart of what Baer stands for. And that was fine, not everyone can be gay for jaguars.

When we first interacted, I wasnt even sure about any of the religion or how it related to my char. It seemed like a good match sphere and role wise. for me the code was my primary guide to not being degooded and something I relied heavily on (at the start) to dictate my behaviour. I felt Dracovius was less of a goody overall in the heping people out sort of way than my previous chars, and more whitecloakish when it came to evils.

I looked around the shrine for various hints and clues as to how to to be more gay for jaguars, but I didnt really find much. Then I interacted and spoke with about 4-6 Baer followers, the char was more action centric (my ability to have faith in gods lacking) and I was hoping on the courage element being clear in all my nifty raids. it seemed we only drifted apart and when the title of Codes Shield came I was like... why am i not jaguar like everyone else *pouty face*. I figured it if kept being jaguary maybe I could turn it around, so I spent 150 hours ot so trying to catch you on as a) baer, and b) not mad with / at me (even though you werent the coldness and distance I felt between us made it feel that way, hence my 'insolence' ) another couple of hundred hours and I might have cracked it just in time to age die.

So other than the helpfile, where can I look so if I go baer again, I'm more jaguary?

110021, Let me chime in?
Posted by Sindrai on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
... and say that I too was looking for a little more direct guidance. It's good to let people find their way - but I think followers might appreciate some more direction.

You always seemed quite competent and did a good job with your role as far as I could see. I will miss the various adventures we participated in. Now I can go back and use my drum again though :P
