I neglected to mention Scion Powers:

Are.
SICK.

For that reason I was never unhappy about not getting nice imm rewards, exp, quests, etc. I figured those powers alone made me incredibly overpowered as it is, compared to an invoker in (shudder) Empire. Yeah, Scion powers are far, far and beyond the best powers for an invoker. Not even Outlander leader with insects and quicksand beats the sheer utility offered by nightwalker (for getting wands and taking blows), beckon (anti-hide, extra melee), forsaken (INCREDIBLY powerful, just about the only thing that would drive Dupmasione off...), despoil (DOUBLE your hp... what's not to like?).
