Choose by beak type, it is the distinuishing factor of birds. My description had the short hooked beak, the one of birds of prey. I thought it apt anyways. But the point was, with VERY few exceptions, birds are not afraid of water per se, and quite a few can be found in it quite regularlly besides the obvious ducks/flamingos/pelicans. Oh...that's my next character...arial with bright pink feathers and a leg up in the air all the time. How's that for the zany RP angle?
