Sel had a bunch of unlikable traits, but that's what made him come across so nicely as a 'mad artist'. I was a big fan, and seeing how flamboyant he could be in any given situation was always pretty entertaining. More than anything, he came across like an actual 'person' character, in that I never exactly knew which direction you were going to go, how you were going to develop, etc. but I did know you'd roll with the punches and Sel would do what he wanted - which I always like seeing in a char more than a "locked into this path" type.

Big props for that.
