The thirst of Greed.

Terenthial came to the surface world in search of answers. He had made
arrangements with a hunting party and decided that it was time for him to go
out and sculpt his own desires.

He had reached the pinnacle of his accomplishments within the hierarchy of
his home. A male Drow could only reach so far and Terenthial would not be
halted by the mere imposed boundaries of manhood within his society.

It was decided by him then and there that his Greed could only be furthered
perhaps upon the surface world among the "lesser" races of Thera.

Once Terenthial's brother made the mistake of standing between him and his
goals...his mothers approval. There was a position of great honor in the Drow
citadel of his home and it was tradition for the eldest male of the selected
house or "most deserving male" to have this position. Terenthial wanted this
for himself, he needed to learn from the master priests of the Citadel. His
brother, motivated only by his combat prowess sought to enrich his own
position of favor.

Ventaril Daevion'lyr was greeted in his private chamber by Underdark asp's
later in the same week. Underdark asps for those who do not know are
re-guarded among the deadliest of subterranean predators. A large snake by
surface means, the asp possess a very potent neurotoxic venom and favor to
feast upon there prey while they are paralyzed and very much alive.


Terenthial stood that night...in the shadows looking upon the frozen
expression of horror his brother wore in his bed while being consumed...
