Terenthial Daevion'lyr the Preacher of Greed, Anathema to the Empire

Description

The lithe form of a porcelain colored priest resides before you swaddled in
dark ash colored robes. The intangible skin of this creature is accented
slightly by the well kept lock's of his similarly colored hair. His hair of
course can be seen on either side of a large hood extending from the
shoulders of his robes. His entire abode is perfectly adorned around his
body, not even the slightest hint of wear or flaw can be discerned. A pair of
beautiful oval shaped sapphire orbs peer back at you from his shadowy visage.

The stature imposed by this creature presents a feeling of superiority, his
movements are calculated and unfettering. Accented about his robes you notice
an intricate stitching depicting the symbols of his faith, they shimmer
faintly with a deep unholy glow.

The thirst of Greed.

Terenthial came to the surface world in search of answers. He had made
arrangements with a hunting party and decided that it was time for him to go
out and sculpt his own desires.

He had reached the pinnacle of his accomplishments within the hierarchy of
his home. A male Drow could only reach so far and Terenthial would not be
halted by the mere imposed boundaries of manhood within his society.

It was decided by him then and there that his Greed could only be furthered
perhaps upon the surface world among the "lesser" races of Thera.

Once Terenthial's brother made the mistake of standing between him and his
goals...his mothers approval. There was a position of great honor in the Drow
citadel of his home and it was tradition for the eldest male of the selected
house or "most deserving male" to have this position. Terenthial wanted this
for himself, he needed to learn from the master priests of the Citadel. His
brother, motivated only by his combat prowess sought to enrich his own
position of favor.

Ventaril Daevion'lyr was greeted in his private chamber by Underdark asp's
later in the same week. Underdark asps for those who do not know are
re-guarded among the deadliest of subterranean predators. A large snake by
surface means, the asp possess a very potent neurotoxic venom and favor to
feast upon there prey while they are paralyzed and very much alive.


Terenthial stood that night...in the shadows looking upon the frozen
expression of horror his brother wore in his bed while being consumed...

Chapter 1

A young drow.

Terenthial was born into the house Daevion'lyr in a Drow city similar but
quite larger than the known establishment of Teth'Azeleth within the confines
of the deeper Underdark.

The house Daevion'lyr would be considered among the mid rankings of this
particular Drow hierarchy though no less formidable than the houses within
Teth'Azeleth.

Ruled by the cruel and beautiful matron Darlestula whose unsatisfiable lust
and greed carried a wrath unbeknown even to her kind. Terenthial was first
and foremost a male within his house, shunned even from birth in this
matriarchal society, he was the third son to the Matron among a plethora of
vile sisters.

A harsh childhood awaits males of Drow blood, luckily for Terenthial he was
favored among his brethren for he possessed a spiritual inclination and
prowess. This fact pleased his mother and stirred forth much jealousy from
his sisters.

Divination and unquenchable resolve where taught to Terenthial, there was no
questioning this young priest and his resolute dedication to order and
concise control. Everything from his emotions to his inner agenda...all kept
secret and shrouded in deceit for such is the way of the Drow.

Terenthial did inherit the finer traits of his mother, he was beautifully
sculpted and desired by his female peers. Terenthial found this to be an
uncanny advantage for accomplishing his wishes and his Greed grew to new
heights as he progressed further in his world of intrigue.

If any one stood in his way...it would be handled much like his former
brother...who made the mistake of interfering...Once...with Terenthial's
wishes.
