Description

Unusually looking figure of average height is before you, it seems he spent
a lot of time making his appearance look perfect. His hair almost shines and
covers his head with style, all nails are well groomed, his calm eyes and
half smile only support his appearance, beautiful aroma is in the air near
him. All armors and weapons are clean and well polished, perfectly match each
other, the amount of jewelry is about "right" and don't make him look silly.
He moves with grace, but isn't afraid to step on the ground with confidence.
His body is well muscled, but not overly to still allow him move very fast.

Chapter 5

Death of Jaulvad's father.

Jaulvad did his best to train and grow in ranks in his guild as fast as
possible because his main goal always was to murder his father. Just becoming
famous to be able to return home was no longer acceptable for him, he is no
longer a child. Jaulvad is a force by himself now, he's stronger than his
dead old father. It took a lot of time, patience, preparations and strength
for Jaulvad to defeat High Lord, but it was finally done. It's best day in
his life so far! Dark gods were always whispering to his dead father that
they are helping him and thus he's the strongest of mortals. But he wasn't,
and his own son murdered him. But Jaulvad learned this lesson well: no gods
are ever helping mortals, they are simply using them.

Jaulvad wants to become strongest and most famous of all mortals in Thera.
When chancellor Iskrith offered him to become a scion earlier, Jaulvad
refused because he never bows before anyone, not even chancellors or god
Morius. Jaulvad later murdered Iskrith and his own father. His way to glory
finally began!

Chapter 4

Assassin's job.

Killing people is very easy for Jaulvad, he killed many dozens already. But
to kill an enemy even without actually fighting is a peak of assassin's art.
Often assassins have to take care about those they fight to learn it well.

Lately Jaulvad isn't actually killing anyone he failed to assassinate not to
make them look weak. In fact most funny situation just happened in Galadon.
Jaulvad tried to assassinate human warrior Jakecla, but only made him bleed
instead. As always Jaulvad just retreated when he could to avoid killing this
young warrior. But later this assassin saw that young human is dying anyway
from this bleeding and selling his armors to afford himself few heals. So
assassin Jaulvad even gave him 10 gold coins not to make Jakeckla look weak,
saving the life of this warrior from Jaulvad's own bleeding!

Chapter 3

Strength of soul.

Physical strength is easy to understand and it's what Jaulvad valued before.
But he met many different people already and he begins to value strength of
soul even more, based on his experience of communicating with them all.

Villager berserker Bjorfurohk didn't attack Jaulvad who was already hurt by
fighting the imperial shaman and Zelisha's guards. This villager also barely
escaped from Jaulvad when the human found this minotaur already convulsing
and missed his assassination attempt. But Bjorfurohk didn't blame Jauvlad in
anything, the soul of this minotaur is strong. And Jauvlad respects him
because of it and gave his word not to attack this minotaur first anymore.

At the same time there is azure-touched bard Peloniph... Earlier Jauvlad has
killed Faozora and took her hummingbird pendant and few other things a shaman
of 27 tittle shouldn't have. Later young human met Peloniph in the Inn of
Eternal Star and offered to trade this hummingbird pendant for the very good
blademaster's gloves this azure-touched had. Peloniph agreed, but said that
they need to give each other armors by giving them through neutral thief,
member of Heralds, Gherod. So Jauvlad gave his pendant to Gherod and then
Gherod gave it to Peloniph, while Peloniph gave blademaster gloves to Gherod
and Gherod gave it to Jauvlad. Later Jauvlad also gave his old gauntlets of
ogre power to Gherod and Gherod gave it to Peloniph. Young Jauvlad simply
thought this Peloniph is a pledge to Heralds because they greeted each other
with Gherod, but later it became known that Peloniph walks freely within the
Fortress of the Light. Once Jauvlad learned about it, he became really angry
at oath breaker Peloniph and young human reported to the Fortress about this
bard's actions. Some people have strong soul, some have no soul at all...
like this azure-touched bard. These are to be culled from Thera forever!

Another good example would be outlander pledge Llortos. This warrior was
running from Jaulvad for a really long time, but eventually died when got
stuck in the whirlpool in Aryth Ocean. But this dark-elven warrior never said
a single bad word about Jaulvad and never complained in any other way. Thus
this human understood flaws of Llortos (not using magic much and not having
enough different potions in hands) and did his best to explain this warrior
where to get the sources to trade for different useful magical potions.

There were many other different meetings in Jaulvad's life, but they all
taught that strength of soul is much more important than usual physical
strength. He respects it in others, he will never dishonour himself by not
having this kind of strength. He swore not to ever give up by just dying to
someone, or even dying many times. In fact Jaulvad secretly is waiting for
it, he wants real challenges. Still young human didn't meet any real
opposition yet, but when it happens - it will only drive him to fight harder!

Chapter 2

First blood.

The first one to die to Jaulvad was dwarven warrior Thaldrak, who is known
for simply killing all evils at 22 rank, he doesn't grow in ranks at all for
very long time already. It wasn't easy battle because young human was still
wearing the worst possible armors and Thaldrak was using armors like two
bloodstone rings, gleaming diamond armors and such. At first Jaulvad took few
of these things when he killed the dwarf, but later returned everything he
he couldn't use by himself becasuse he understood that soon he'll be totally
the same as this warrior. Jaulvad plans to perfect his skill in assassination
people at level 35 or 36 and thus eventually he'll gather a lot of shiny
armors as well. But he needs not to relax like this young dwarf did and fight
every of his battles carefuly and smart, Jaulvad hates to lose any battles.

Second one to kill was weak felar Ikizara, who's weird complains aren't even
worth thinking about... only thing to notice here is that it's very dangerous
to live in a fog of own illusions. Jaulvad will never have friend or allies,
but he needs to at least speak to others not to become crazy like Ikizara.

Chapter 1

The way of strength.

High Lord was never pleased at how his young son Jaulvad was growing up, he
often even thought that he was betrayed and it's not his real son. Jaulvad
was lazy and even weaker than other children of his age, he was kind person
and full of mercy. At the same time this young human often questioned High
Lord's power. So eventually still very young Jaulvad simply got kicked out
from the keep of his father and was told to never return there unless he
becomes feared by the whole Thera and proves to be no weaker than his father.

Jaulvad learned some of the assassin's techniques by watching his father and
he was still young, weak and totally alone in new and big for him world, so
he soon joined the guild of assassins to at least hide from all the dangers.
He learned it the hard way that there is no morality, mercy, friendship or
even any kind of alliances. He now knows it very well that everybody just use
others around them for their own benefit and will get rid of them whenever
it's needed. But Jaulvad isn't like others - he doesn't use anyone, he never
lies to anybody, he always only travels alone. He only seeks to become the
strongest and thus he'll fight all his life, the stronger enemy is - the more
this human will learn by fighting them. Jaulvad wants to become strong enough
to return to his home and defeat his overconfident father, murder him alone!

On his way to power Jaulvad has set few simple rules for himself:
1. Never bow before anyone, not even a god. Become the strongest and feared!
2. Never lie at all because it's fastest way to become weakling yourself.
3. Never have friends or even alliances, never group with anyone. Never
accept anyone's help. Only barter with anyone when it's totally fair trade.
Never join any organizations. Only help most weak when in good mood yourself.
4. Show no mercy to those who are strong or think too much about themselves.
5. Weaklings are just a dirt on his shoes, they are good to practice on. But
there are no reasons to make their lives miserable and take away their hope.
