Finally a name

After the initial shock of the explosion has faded, Shami gathers her senses
and looks around for clues to what just has happened. The orb seems to have
evaporated in her hands, no trace of that. Also, even on closer inspection
there is still no sign of the man. The tattered remains of the cauldron lies a
stones throw away in the fields, clearly unusable now. Any residue of the
colored substance that might have remained in there, surely must have drained
away now. Already ruinous before, now nothing remains of the chapel, but
rubble and shattered stones.

On closer inspection Shami can see a lot of scattered parchments and books.
Likely there still was a remnant of a library at the chapel. Most books are
too scorched and blackened to be legible but whatever can be pieced together
seems to have random titles, not of a specific topic. Some seem interesting in
general, but one particular book seems very promising. As much of the content
of the book the cover has been singed and not all is legible. The title on the
cover has been reduced to -Ele.e....l .es.a.ch and f.ndin..- The subtitle is
barely more legible, but still damaged -A .ourna. by Therl.ni.s Dr.g...ire,
Mast.. of ..em.n.s-

Clever as she is, one of the few things Shami did pick up at the orphanage was
writing and reading. With that knowledge she skims through whatever legible
words remain in the book. Based on that she learns that the name on the cover
used to be Therlonius Dragonfire, Master of Elements. It seems to have been
used both as a journal and a report on his experimental research. The actual
research is far too advanced for her to understand, but based on the comments
in the journal parts she can figure out the gist of what the work was.
