Penance, Conflict, and Faith

I am now in a position where I serve a self-imposed penance, as I have
in some way offended the Light, and those powerful figures in the Light
no longer entrust to me their most powerful possessions. I have offended some in the Fortress,
for as an outsider I have questioned the bloodthirstiness of their methods, and for decades
the Lords and Ladies of the Light have not revealed themselves to me.

I have my faith, though, and it remains unshaken. We must confront behavior which
is wrong, even if it is done with good intentions.

The Light guide always my heart and hand.
