My dearest darling,

I won't keep you with the stories I've told you of the senile High Herald and
the traitor Kytria. You've heard it all already when I've dreamt fondly of
and found you. This letter is for after. When we're finally again, my love.

I will follow the High Herald's words to the letter. I am at her command for
all things Herald. And yet it seems I'm the only Herald bringing gifts of joy
and food those outside of the Inn. How is that someone who tries to teach me
of Heraldic values keeps herself in the words of her goddess till she's
blind?

I miss you. I fear for you. When we spoke, you asked me to teach you the ways
of my craft. Candles made thick off fresh fat. Crimson rugs and runes drawn
in ways that made my eyes hurt just to see them.

I know that what you do is for us. It is what we both do. It's why you called
to me in my dreams. But I don't like this new quest. My darling, I'm afraid
for you.

You will go where you said you would and asked for my help with. It is your
way and why I love you so much that it frightens me.

But please, my love, if this letter can reach your ears before you read it in

Heralds and Happenings

My dearest darling,

While it may be due to the blessings of my ability to delve between the
planes that gives us the sublime joy of being able to meet in your dreams
while we are apart, I have decided to write a few letters for you to read
once we are happily together again in our homestead.

I've fallen into a wonderful troupe of entertainers and artists known as the
Heralds of the Eternal Star. Against your advice, I showcased my abilities as
a haruspex to divine the High Herald's future.

My dear, it was the most incredible thing! The turkey that I used was a
hermaphodite, just like I saw we needed for our wedding. The chicken that I
bought from the witch woman (both male and female in one), wedding ourselves
where the land meets the sea, forming its own unique life and mysteries when
combined, and under the blood red light of the moon, lit by the sun behind
it.

Bound together by such powerful omens and portents, it's a small wonder we
have been able to remain so close while others may pity us for our distance.

I have heard tales a god who loved as much as we love each other. I shall go
to seek him so that I may witness even a small shred of a love that may even
rival ours!
