Description

A large pale blue giant stands before you, he has a warm
and friendly look but his sheer size is intimidating. He
is clad in well kept heavy armor that he barely seems to
notice as he moves about. He has deep blue eyes that shine
with inner warmth. He has an easy smile on his face but
you note that he keeps his deadly looking polearm at the
ready position.

Dear Father,

It's been awhile but I've had a lot on my plate lately. I
completed the path of lesser beasts and embarked on the
Quest of Dragons. To hunt down and slay the most infamous
of monsters that Thera has ever seen. I've already taken
down a Dracolich and the ancient white dragon but I still
have many years ahead of me until I come to the end of this
path. These monsters have destroyed the lives of many over
the years but the courage flows through me to see it done.

I can't help but feeling that the forces of evil are up to
something, maybe rallying their strength. I've been bringing
the battle to them wherever I have found them but there are
times when the stillness is most uncomfortable, they are out
there somewhere.

There have been some troubling events surrounding the haters
of magic lately. I'm not sure if it will turn into a full
fledged war but I will continue to follow the Marshall and
Captains orders. It has been an honor to serve under them as a
Squire and hope that one day that I will be worthy enough to
be called Maran. Your lessons from my youth are what keep
me alive day to day and I pray that you are well at home.

A few years have passed and Niekofet has become more seasoned in the ways
of the world. He found the Lord of Pathfinders shrine and earned his
favor to continue upon his path. Lord Korsgaard seemed pleased with his
visions of Strength, Honor and Courage and Niekofet has found boundless
energy lately to accomplish his training and guild work. He has managed
to come far in a short time, managing to complete the second leg of his
quest for the Pathfinder - the path of lesser beasts. Far and wide he
searched and hunted to find each of the following beasts.


The red dragon underneath the sewers of Galadon.

The sea serpent underneath the docks of Hamsah Mu'tazz.

The copper dragon within the bowels of the jade vaults.

The brass dragon in it's den within the Drogan Hills.

The sea dragon underneath the Western Aryth ocean.

The green sea dragon within the Sea of Despair.

The black dragon hatchlings in the heart of Ysigrath.

The black dragon Fangrul in Barovia.

The red-gold and midnight dragons hidden in Evermoon.

The basilisks in the Ruins of Delar-Tol.

The yellow dragon across far reaches of the wastes of
Nonveil.


Niekofet is now committed to his guild work and to progressing his
training so to report his success to Lord Korsgaard and be given the
chance for further challenges. Niekofet was also tasked with speaking
to another Pathfinder hopeful, a task that he has yet had opportunity
to accomplish.

Dear Father,

I hope you would be proud of me. I remember the faith you
had in me when I was young and have taken those lessons you
raised me with to the world. It hasn't been easy, however,
nothing that I would concern you with, rest assured that
I have found faith, friendship and purpose in my time away.

the Lord of Pathfinders has answered my prayers Father, his
faith gives me boundless courage to bring the fight to the
enemies of the light. I know it's dangerous Father but if
I'm out here I feel we can make home even safer too. I
would have sleepless knights knowing I could have served my
part and did not. I trust that you will understand and one
day, maybe you will tell tales of my exploits.

Chapter 1

Introduction

Niekofets mother died during childbirth but the local healers were able to
save Niekofet. He was raised in the Loch Terradian by his father on tales
of heroic deeds and noble sacrifice. Stories that set his mind afire with
the exuberance of youth that would ultimately leave a lasting mark on his
very being. Nightly prayers to the Pathfinder were the norm in the Windward
home.

Niekofet wanted nothing more than to make his father proud who was a humble
guard but he made sure to instill the spirit of heroes in his son. The elder
Windward encouraged his son in his studies and training, stern but fair to
a job well done or not. He knew deep down that his son was meant for a life
bigger than what the Loch could ever afford him.

When Niekofet was of age his father sat him down and told him it was time
he made his way in the world. The Loch is prone to attack and if Niekofet
stayed he may never reach the heights his father saw for him. As he gave his
son directions to Galadon he directed his son towards the paladins guild.
They would teach him how to become a man, to become the hero he was always
meant to be.

He was resolved to make his father proud and make his way in the world. He
has found danger at every corner but thus far has had the courage to stay
on his path.
