Zerfious the Force of Nature

Description

Before you standing roughly 2'5" and covered in moss and plants is the
form of a young gnome. He has large brown eyes and appears to wise.
He wears plants, flowers and many herbs bundled together to create clothes.
He seems to wear only natural materials, a claw necklace is around his neck.
His cloak seems to have been made with an assortment of living moss and
large green leaves. His hands are larger than his head and are very rough
and weathered from the elements. As you begin to look away you notice
his eyes narrow and a rage come over his face.

Chapter 1

The wolves.

60 years ago, Zerfious was left for the wolves to eat, his parents taken by the Empire, tortured and murdered...
The Emperor ordered the baby to be left for the dire wolves, that was the last time any civilized person saw the child, until now.
As the wolves circled Zerfious and was about to attack, the pack leader emerged from under a large rotting tree and snarled at the other wolves.
The pack leader sensed a kinship with the baby and the others somehow knew, the baby was now had the protection of the pack.
For the next 59 years Zerfious learned to use the land to eat and drink, he learned to use the forest for clothing and every night he worshipped the moon.
He gave thanks for life, for the wilds and he found when the storms came he felt most himself. The clouds began to form in the distance and before he knew it, the lightning and thunder surrounded the forest.
The rain, sleet, snow and hail was always welcomed by Zerfious, he was happy and content ... or as content as he could be until he was found by a group of adventurers.
A rabbit was sitting in the clearing, as he pounced to attack a cage fell and captured him. Two shapeshifters emerged from the surroundings in awe they had found a young gnome living here.
Words came from the shapeshifters mouths, 'word of recall' and he was transported to a large city where he promptly passed out. When he woke he was in a bed and a warm candle next to him.
He slowly began to trust the shapeshifters and eventually learned to speak. A raiding party of orcs attacked the city and killed all but Zerfious, as he hid in a secret wall.
As he watched the orcs murdering and devouring the people, his anger grew and grew, he felt much like when the storms came to the forest.
Each day and night he gave thanks to the storms for being alive and he felt a stronger connection with each day, until when he asked for help, it happened.
He had a vision of the storms as a child and the many faces of the moon every night. Seek Ergush, protect the wilds, protect it's children of nature...
As he began his journey to find Ergush, he traveled with a healer and later met a conjurer who commanded a snake. Each encounter he discovered a love and need for coins.
Zerfious had spoken to the Sunwarden about what he thought he witnessed but did not believe fully, until later on...
He began to feel sick, another vison entered his mind....

A vision of the world, the forests diseased and dying, the animals sick, covered with sores and many dead, the water poisoned and the air carrying the smell of oily death.
The vision took him around the world, nearly all of the natural world was gone and as the vison pulled away he heard a scream for help which seemed to come from within the world itself.

Chapter 2

Growing up.

After finding a place within the tree, Zerfious finally had a real home with purpose and meaning. There hasn't been a day that goes by he doesn't think of his family of dire wolves.
Daily he wishes he could see the Alpha, even for a moment, he misses his wolf family much but knows what he is doing will help them live without worry from outsiders.
Zerfious's prayers had been heard and acknowledged by lord Ergush, he was given the task of defining spirit which he failed at. Lord Ergush gave him a hint and he got finally.
Zerfious had begun to make friends in Thera and the more he saw of his brothers and sisters of the tree, he felt Thar-Eris had a real fighting chance.
He had become a much better hunter and protector from living in the tree and helped teach about the cursed coins to those he traveled with.
He grew more and was empowered fully by lord Ergush and given another task which he is still working on about pride, gathering three items, one of himself, his ally and his enemy.
As he grew more he began to see the biggest threats to Thar-Eris and he knew it was his responsibilty with how he would respond with the abilities he had to the Threat.
