Chapter 1

My Beginnings

Fire giants have basically two paths they can choose from ... either follow
the dark arts or become a warrior of the blade. Krahl knew from a young age
his extra ordinary size and stature meant he was well suited for the latter
role.

Preparing for the inevitable battles with other warring tribes and villages
was a way of life for him. Krahl was unlike most other warriors in his
village who blindly charged at their enemies with any random weapon and
little thought. Krahl was more intelligent than them ... for a fire giant
anyway. He chose maces as his singular weapon of choice to train exclusively
with. This helped him control battles much better and this gave him more
options in fights. It made him superior to many other warriors in his
village. Wanting more than a lowly villagers life or at best a guard for
the Royal Kiadana-Rahs, his dark upbringing of chaotic battles was
something he had no wish to continue. This desire saw Krahl leave the village
to see what else Thera had to offer. He wanted to show Thera his might and
power.

Krahl spent much time exploring various parts of the world and discovering
the various main factions that held sway. When staying at an inn in the city
of Hamsah Mutazz, he met a retired warrior from the Blade Sect of the
Empire who told him much about their ways and beliefs. He spoke A vast
imperial land controlled by the mighty Empire that is set to spread out and
conquer Thera. This is not a few thugs, but a structured organization
commanded by powerful, respected leaders. With superior law and fear ... fear
of the Empire every man and woman will have their place and live a more
enhanced life. Their goals show what a place Thera can become when led by the
strong. However, those who betray, do not follow, resist or oppose such an
improved existence would be destroyed. It was infectious and he knew this was
a place he wanted to be part of. It was perfectly suited to what Krahl sought
and he knew following this path and using his superior strength and might all
of Thera would cower in terror upon hearing his name. He would continue his
training and would seek out and join them and help bring Thera under control.
In time under his control. What a life he shall live, what a legacy he will
leave and what power he will gain!
