Description

Slender with an obviously athletic body,
Thorawyn carries himself with an infectious pride.
Golden hair hangs loosely around his elvish
like face, and glows softly from the surrounding light.
His straw-colored beard reaches down to
his chest, and betrays his half-elvish heritage.
His eyes, tinted greenish like an opal, are
bright and inquisitive. His eyebrows, a light
brown color, are clearly animated, and
rise and fall often as he speaks.
His clothes are for the most part modest, yet
well kept, clean, and tailored to fit properly.

Momentum

Thorawyn was nearly an adult when he hugged his mother,
bid farewell to his family of campers, and wistfully
left that camp. He was beginning anew, and planned to find
his father. The preocuppation with the idea of his father,
was, perhaps unintentionally, slowly turning him into an
idealized version of his father. During his travels, he met
up with some Druids from an enclave near the Emerald Forest,
Druids who introduced him to new ideas that he found solace in.
Ideas of Thar-Eris, and the problems of the encroaching cities
on nature. He believed his father would have supported this
philosophy, and soon pledged himself to the cabal known
as Outlander. His life was gaining momentum.

As Thorawyn grew older, he often thought of his father. He
had come to idolize him, and ascribed a numerous amount of
righteous traits to him. He sometimes would talk with an
elvish accent, like his father would have, which many of the
other campers found peculiar. "That Thorawyn, he can act
so strange!" Thorawyn didn't mind these comments, as he found
them to be a compliment. He wished to be like his father.
At a certain point, Thorawyn decided he needed to find his
father, and planned to leave the camp in search of him.

As a child, Thorawyn thrived within his camp. He learned
many lessons from his teachers and mentors, as well as
his mother. He learned of being righteous, of helping others,
and to respect nature. A bit naive, and a perhaps slower to
learn than others, he nevertheless was passionate, and would
often dedicate himself to mastery of a skill until he had
succeeded. When Thorawyn was perplexed by a problem, he would
imagine what his father might do (even though he knew almost
nothing of him), and he would see himself in his father, and
then he would know what he needed to do. As his mother would say,
"When you catch a glimpse of your potential, that's when passion
is born."

Origins

Thorawyn was born in the Vale of Arendyl, in a settlement
comprised mainly of human gypsies. His mother, Glendora of
the Vale, was known as the shaman within the camp. She
would hold rituals, and heal the sick, and offer advice
to those in need through divinations. Thorawyn would
learn much from watching her.

As for his father, Thorawyn knew very little about him.
Like a gnat, the question of who his father was would flit
around his brain constantly. Thorawyn often wondered how they
must have met, his mother and his father. He thought about it,
and thought about it, until it bothered him to no end, and he
asked his mother.

According to Glendora, Thorawyn's father was a passionate
elf who roamed the lands of Thera, fighting the evil that
lurked in the shadows, opposing the bloodthirsty Imperials,
taking stolen gains from the corrupt within the cities,
and justfully compensating the poor and needy. Before he would
sleep, Thorawyn would beg his mother for another adventure story
about his father, and he would relish in the delights of the
animated story told by his mother. Soon, another question arose in
Thorwyn's mind: When would father come home? Glendora responded
that, his father needed to stay hidden in order to avoid
retribution from the evil ones in power. If the evil ones knew where
he lived, Glendora explained, it would be too easy for them to
catch his father. Thorawyn would often nod at this explanation, as
it made perfect sense.

Unfortunately, reality was somewhat different.
