Aaoltha Frost the Glacial Priestess of Honesty, Imperial Priestess

Description

The lithe figure of the infamous Aaoltha Frost stands before you. Her smooth
hourglass figure, deceptively frail, radiates an aura of cold. The source of
this seems to emanate from the small plumes of icy mist that come from a very
clear mark on her hand. A Jagged glacier. Her entire color, once a soft
violet has turned more of an icy grey.

Her almond-shaped face, beginning to show age from a life of strife and a
cold existence still retains it's beauty. Her onyx colored lipstick gives her
a mysterious yet seductive appearance. Her delicate nose points slightly at
it's tip, just above her small frowning lips. Her common looking ears remain
unspoiled by piercings as shrouds of her lush, full violet hair streams down
past them. Shades of grey have begun to make themselves evident however,
matching the color of her skin.

Her attire, most emblazoned with the sigil of the Imperial Codex is something
of a lightly dressed warrior. Her expression is normally very cold and
expressionless. Some would consider her beauty somewhat hindered by this
complete lack of warmth. Though the signs of age are evident on her, her face
remains unblemished.

Imperial Matters

Aaoltha has ascended the imperial ranks throughout the years. She has known
victory and defeat. She has seen the empire at the lowest it's been in many
centuries and now she see's it grow powerful again.

But at what cost?

Lord Destuvius has returned the anathema's into the empire and into power.
Aaoltha agreed to trust in his wisdom and does, yet within she struggles.
Sindrir is a man who broke the law, killed the council and many imperials.
This man is to be emperor? Deceit, lies and plots make Aaoltha uncomfortable.

Yaztran has been made High Priest, another who commands the venom. Lord
Destuvius has assured Aaoltha that this is only a formality and she will take
the position before long.

She can't help but wonder if it is her being High Priestess that will be the
formality. Sindrir and Yaztran travel together like a pack of dogs and have
done so for decades. Is Sindrir just appeasing Lord Destuvius for the throne?
She worries she will be betrayed, or worse Lord Destuvius will be betrayed.

The council is reformed and balance given to imperial forces. This is what
keeps Aaoltha with some semblance of confidence in the matter. Balance is
essential to imperial power and there was none before this. She still cannot
help but be wary.

She relies on her faith as her strength now, knowing that if she acts as she
has with strength and honesty all will fall into place. She hopes Sindrir is
a great Emperor and her a great High Priestess. Still, she can't help but
feel hindered by the fact Sindrir has told her, that her time is limited.

In perhaps a flaw of honesty she has told Sindrir she didn't wish him
Emperor. It remains to be seen how he interprets this. She can't help but be
curious about Zhabala, who endured difficult times and from her perspective
was competent. She will ensure that the dark-elf remains relevant in the
sect.

She has been ordered not to pursue Kregan any longer, being told her prayers
have shortened an already short life. They were anathema, what else is to be
said? She is troubled by the fact her fervor hunting them has come to be a
burden to her imperial clout with the emperor.

One thing remains constant and balanced, her faith in Lord Deormdel. His
teachings steady her as she searches for answers. She would rather be
Empress. She would rather Sindrir rotting in the ground with the rest of
them. Yet, she will trust Lord Destuvius and pray his eyes do not deceive
him. But she knows her place, and she knows the law.

Darkness and Order will prevail.

The brothel was put up for sale and she made her way out of the city during
the confusion.

She made her way out in the world, finding what she would need now to take
the next steps in her life. She would make her way north, finding the
blessings of Deormdel. Then she would begin her journey.

Aaoltha is a cold and emotionless individual. She believes the truth of the
world is innately in the teachings of Deormdel and that for her the truth is
that imperial might is in the end unstoppable. She admires the imperial army
and believes this is the great decider in the Theran wars.

She is committed to the bloodoath and finding her way in the empire, using
her faith to bring about it's dominance further. She wishes to become more
than she is and is realistic about the path to do so. Patience and time will
be required as well as showing the power of the teachings of her lord.

She is realistic about war and holds no ills to those trying to survive or
take advantage of tactical weakness. Why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't she? She
believes in exposing the weakness of those who would hinder their war effort
by foolish pride.

Chapter 1

History and Profile

Aaoltha is the product of a dark-elven father and a human mother. Her mother
was a prostitute and Aaoltha spent her early life growing up in said brothel.

Aaoltha came to understand how she came into being very quickly. The truth of
her reality didn't escape her. She was never offended by it. She simply
accepted the reality of the situation. She performed menial tasks during her
time in the brothel, cleaning, cooking and whatnot.

As she grew older she was allowed to leave the brothel sporadically and she
came to befriend a svirfnebli who ran a local shop. He sold books, scrolls,
tomes and kept various knowledge there and he allowed Aaoltha to browse at
will, perhaps feeling sorry for the girl.

She learned a great deal of Thera over the years as she bloomed into
adolescence. She learned of it's many peoples and their beliefs. She learned
of the great wars that exist.

She was also an admirer of great wars, warriors and leaders, regardless of
what they believed. She admired them as she admired the warstories
themselves. These battles were always deciding factors in what happened in
Thera, so important to all life.

She began to admire the empire. None were more honest in what they believed
than the empire and none were more able or willing to show that truth plainly
to their adversaries.

In adolescence she was often remarked as a cold bitch. She didn't think of
this as an insult, in fact she welcomed it. Too many are too afraid or nieve
to be brutally honest. She simply wished to live her life the way she wanted
and not live a life of fraudulence.

As she came into womanhood, still a companion to her svirfneblin book keeper.
She came across a book that spoke of Deormdel. The book fascinated her and
she became enthralled with this giant of truth.

She read of him all she could and decided she would dedicate her life to
spreading his teachings in whichever way was more suitable. Through words or
combat itself. She began praying and found herself coming upon the powers of
Deormdel. She knew she could not succeed in growing more powerful unless she
sought out the shrine of Deormdel.

This in itself was an issue as the brothel owner would not simply allow her
to leave. She was very useful to the business. She decided something had to
be done and began to investigate possibilities.

She had thought about killing him outright, yet decided a better path. A
more practical path. She had been very involved in the brothel throughout the
years and knew it's inner workings. A slave to the empire had been relieving
their tribute payments for...the services of the brothel. She reported this
to the imperial recruiter in town who promptly killed the slave and enslaved
the owner.
