Description

Standing before you is a taller, male elf, just over 6 feet in height.
Platinum blond hair rests about his shoulders, which is neatly tucked behind
a set of slightly pointed ears. His exposed face and skin appear to have some
age, for an elf, however his near-pale complexion is clean and determined as
any. His slim, lanky body is well toned, given his smaller frame, not seeming
too frail. He is poised rather straight and confident with a hard, yet
kindly look to him. Armorments of varying styles cover his body, looking as
if even they were adjusted to fit snugly. Upon his more fashionable cape, you
note the Seal of the Blood Tribunal proudly displayed as a sign of his
service. Emerald-green eyes look about in a watchful and knowing gaze, where
it appears that little would go unnoticed.

Chapter 7

Older age/Realizations

- Goal of being able to make a difference was met by becoming Provost
Does whatever he can to keep those of the spire committed and ensures
that policies are adhered to. When at all possible, he likes to give
the benefit of the doubt, however not always the case. Keeping to his
word of service to the Lords of the Spire, his plans are and always
will be with the Tribunal.. Until relieved or his death.

- Becoming "old" he has realized that many of his former friends have
came and gone.. Though he knows this is the order of things, it still
does bear some weight on his shoulders. He will always have a place
for Eralsodiz and Johral in his heart.. Remembering the ventures and
experiences he has had moreso with them, along the way. There is some
comfort in knowing that at least the Bitter old Bird to have the odd
drink or two with over old times. Few have had the patience to know
Mak, or many others as Rylium has, which leads him to understand and
gather a closeness that many will never have the joys of experiencing

- Has found ways to deal with his frustrations in trusting in Umiron
to do what is right. He may not always understand why things work as
they do, but keeps calm and accepts things as they come and tries not
to be caught up in the past or dwell on mistakes.

- Realizing his mortality, he has grown to see life and death a bit
more positively and that everyone seems to have some "good" in them,
if properly motivated. He may not always like the methods some use
to get their results, but respects those whom are honest and up front
about whatever they may have on their minds.

- Realized that perhaps gambling isn't the best way to "get away"
from his issues and spends more time looking around and taking time
to himself for proper thought and assessment of the duties at hand.
With that said, he still attends the inn and maybe throws a few
coins, but nothing like before. Dragon hunts with Diri and the "gang"
came to give him some experiences that he will always appreciate and
aid with, given the need. His goodly and orderly nature starting to
stand firmer than ever before.

Chapter 6

Spire service - Middle Years

Now finding himself in his middle years, Rylium has reflected on his
paths and decisions. Although relatively stable.. He has come to
accept that most things will not go his way and that he needs to be
more patient in proving himself than others of the lands. Unsure why
he was overlooked for a higher position in the Spire, when he felt
that he was more suitable than others, given the other options
available at the time. Nearly having the majority, if not all of the
Spire confused too, the Magistrates seeking his ear and advice on
what is to come. He is however pleased with what he as accomplished
to date, and that even if she was dark, Provost Vree had saw much
potential and had vouched for his promotion to Provincial.

Rylium always did like and appreciate Ruakao, for they had worked a
lot together over the years, even before Rylium became a Magistrate.
Recently, he has not been overly fond of Ruakao due to his.. almost
maddening declarations and words in the name of the Spire. It did not
help at all that Ruakao still managed to become Provost in the end,
which nearly defeated any attempts at all to settle the disputes.
Rylium now finds Ruakao too stubborn, hippocritical and appears to
demand an unfair expectation of the Magistrates, when Ruakao himself
is far from the role model that is set with his new expectations.

Seeing this recent conflict with the Empire as just as much Ruakao's
fault as that of the Emperor, Niji. Ruakao has been seen by Rylium
traveling with questionable companions, some of those whom have an
extensive criminal history, when it benefits him. Rylium decided his
distaste for Ruakao after being left to defend the Spire by himself
against Hughli and others.. His not coming to aid with Hughli due to
Ruakao's fondness of her and not having the time to dedicate while he
was off duty. Since he "rarely takes the time" to go off duty. Rylium
managed anyhow, and in the end took down Hughli in that case and took
her from the lands altogether. The Provost's ability to talk much and
do little has lost respect that was once there.

Due to all of this, Rylium has been having a more difficult time in
his duties and the weight of the dramatics in his service is taking
its toll.. Even causing him to have disturbing dreams where the
future seems it may become more bleak and dark, before it is to get
any better. He attempts to still do what he can in trusting that his
faiths in Lord Umiron and his efforts will pave the way for a better
and more improved future. Due to his oaths, he refuses to break.

Chapter 5

Service, Friends, Thoughts

Finally becoming accepted and finding his true calling within the
spire, he spent many years in service to Thera's citizens. Even
eventually gaining the trust of the leadership to move up in the
ranks. In addition to the law, he has found time to dedicate to
his close friends within the Inn of the Eternal star, whom have
consistently offered him advice on many levels and even guided him
from the brink of despair, to a grand life nearing fulfillment.

Among those he has found a great fondness for the Arials of the land,
most of them being graceful, and helpful in his quests. Among which
he considers Mak a close friend, along with Eralsodiz and his near
lifelong friend, Johral. Usually when any are about, there is always
something to be said or done in the ways of adventure, or an
interesting time at Olin's bar.. When Rylium isn't too much off to
be wasting his gold at the Gambler, whom he is determined to best
at some point before his passing.

Always seeming to have had the acknowledgement of the Provost, Vree,
even before his service, he has done his best to ensure that her
trust and belief in his actions are justified. Although Vree is now
known as a more of a darker soul, his respects for her commitments
remains high, even though he may not totally agree with the methods
or her paths. Among those he serves with, he has noted some mixed
feelings of his role as a Magistrate among his peers, some totally
accepting, others barely tolerating. Among those he is none to
amicable with Sshrenran, due to his rather harsh and inappropriate
discussions. Rylium has found this Magistrate a bit too expectant
and biased against the others he serves with. Seeing this as just
a personality clash, he tends to try and ignore it as most others
of the spire treat each other with respects they deserve, regardless
of their nature.

Chapter 4

Changes, inner searching.

Taking some time to himself to consider his paths, and also taking
into account what his Lord may wish of him he aided where he could
and spent much time among friends and old comrades. During this time
he started thinking of a thought he had while younger, that of the
laws. Already knowing them well, and also trying his best to follow
them, even during his service with the Fortress he eventually decided
that perhaps this was his way to repent his ways and finally offer
to the world, his services of protection for the better good.
Being required to further prove himself, he took some time to find
himself, after hitting rock bottom.. With a renewed sense of desire
and want to do what is right, in the name of the light.. He committed
himself, heart and soul to defending those beings where they ought be
safe.. Regardless of aura or intent. Such is the ways of a truly
orderly and rightful realm. Seeking out Lord Risdrin, he was tasked
and eventually was found of worth to serve with the spire. He did
have to take on a heavy oath, which he plans on taking to the grave.
Knowing such commitments are required, he did not make these
decisions lightly. Now having purpose, his vigor has returned and
he continues to act accordingly in wishes to impress not only his own
morals, but in acting in ways to attain the approval of his Lord.

Life Changes & Commitments

After many days and years spent of his life in service to the Fortress as a
Scribe, Rylium has come across many positive as well as negative experiences.
He had spent much of his time getting to know the people of the lands and his
fellow Fortress comrades. Initially seeing this as a great place to serve the
light, as well as bring some sense of stability and order to the world.
However, recently he has become increasingly burdened with his efforts and
dedications.. Most times being alone in his dealings, also feeling much as if
not really part of the whole. He no longer wishes to keep getting the tar
beat out of him by more and more powerful foes whom have much more granted
power than him, especially when the battles are greater in numbers against
him and his lacking ability to provide adequate defenses. He has decided to
relieve himself of his Scribe duties to contemplate life once again.. To a
cause more appreciative and will recognise him better for his constant
efforts and painstaking commitment. Spending at least half his current life
for a cause with very little outcome. It is with much contemplation and heavy
heart to have to make such a decision, but one day he will find his proper
fit.

Commitments/Aspirations

After many years of training and thinking about his life Rylium
managed to attain his final standing in the guild. Finding new
friends and losing others he decided that the best path for his
life should be that in keeping with Lord Umiron. Believing that
his paths will lead him to a better and more structured mentality.

Once affirming his wishes, his second path was also chosen. Where
believing that his life is better suited to order and in a less
violent means, he decided that the Fortress as a Scribe would be
most suitable. To bring his sense of wisdom and an end of all the
dark chaotic actions/beings within the lands. Only through this
can a truly Orderly and just society be brought. Through the downfall
of the selfish souless ones, can the light and righteous good shine
through.

Seeking out the Cardinal, as well as others of the Fort he proved his
worth and desire thus far to be accepted as a Scribe. Hopes to
eventually show he is worthy of becoming an Acolyte. To date he still
aids those as he can and does his best to keep his battles to those
whom are deserving, keeping his vows of service in mind. One day
he wishes to prove himself a beacon of proper respects in the Light
and through that, a positive influence in the name of his Orderly
Lord.

Chapter 1

The Beginning, Introduction

The young Elf known to his house in Darsylon, as
Rylium Yerdinas, comes from a lesser influential sect
known as the Kalir'amatha. Due to their rather unorthadox
ways of approaching situations and their beliefs, they are
the type that go out of their way to question and look into
everything for clarity. Rather than follow blindly with the
status-quo of the nobility and others of power, this has
been a hinderance of gaining influence.. But also to their
pro, a great respect and though the nobility will never
admit to it, their consideration is often taken off the
record. What is good and evil, has a fine line for not all
that is claimed to be evil is necessarily evil, nor is what
mentioned as "good" is necessarily good for all. Same could
be said with any law, order or organization.

For as long as can be remembered, all that was known to
Rylium in his up-bringing was a sole purpose. To be a
pinnacle of the "better good" of the lands, and not lower
himself to the pettiness and sad standards of the "other"
sects and beings of the land. For it is not always what
you speak, but your actions can make the greater result.
The ends do not always justify the means.

Not generally one for violence, he will defend himself
openly and will aid those whom he feels are deserving,
freely. Generally finding the world a very chaotic and
untrusting type of land, he tries to give everyone the
benefit of the doubt. His daily activities are in attempts
to portray what would be expected of those with a positive
desire for the world. Beings whom have shown themselves as
lacking in faith, morals or ability to do what is right in
ones heart, are lost. He will not have time nor patience
for, however will aid them in finding ways to change, if
so desired.
