Description

Standing amongst the environment of this room, you notice a felar
scanning the crowd. His muscular form is cover almost completely
with tri-colored fur. Light and dark browns swirl around with speckles
of black mixed in here and there on the coat of him. If standing
straight up, he would tower over a human by about a foot, but he
stands here in a slouched manner. A scar runs over his left eye
vertically. His eyes are a dark, emerald green color with flecks of gold.
A vertical slit, black pupil pierces them. Claws show out from under
his fur and they are no less sharp then the blades he carries. His
armors are of a lighter make, allowing him to stay light on his feet.

True paths of life

As noic walked the trail from Akan to Voralia, he thought about life so far. He loved the work he was doing at the inn. It warmed his heart to be helping others so much. While thinking he realized something. He was
happier now more than he ever was mastering his craft.

In his mind, all of this traveling was keeping him from what he was enjoying the most. He pondered a while more and decided it was time for a bit of change in his life. He decided that his conversation with Kavan in Voralia would
be an exciting one.

Noic arrived at his guildhall and entered to a barren room. It was good that everyone was out except for Master Lassion, The light's wrath. They greeted each other and Kavan spoke:

"I have heard you have completed your trainings to become a drunken master. That is well. Are you prepared for your final testing?"

Noic the said "Master Kavan, Cat has make choice in path of life. Cat has decide dat be drunk master not is what mater to cat anymores. Cat is enjoy help peoples at inn. Is like make tapestries and learn to cook! Cat is not
want be master of drunk fight, is want be master of merry-make and enjoys. Because of dis, cat will decline hims final tests and be on cats way."

Kavan nodded slowly and said "That is well Noic. To find something in life that truly feels comfortable to you is important in keeping a healthy mind and body. The guild will not remove you from its list of those who have reached
mastery. Be well and I am sure we will talk more in the future Master Praliwin."

Chapter 6

Continueing the path of mastery

It had been several months since his meeting with Shogai in Arkham. Life had been busy around the Inn for all of the Jagad happenings.

After a treacherous journey, Noic reached the dwarven home of Akan. The air was thin, and Noic found it hard to control his breath at first, but the weeks ahead with Arkat would change all of that. As Noic entered the city,
he could smell the ale before he found Arkat the brewer.

Upon entering the ale house, Arkat looked up from his brews and smiled a wide grin. All around the massive room stood barrels and devices being used to brew ale. Hanging over top of each station were signs written in common
and dwarfish with the names of the different ales.

Noic did not get much time to look around because Arkat swept him away into a back room. There they spoke and drank. Arkat talked about his years of drinking, and his ability to do every the most detailed of work without
missing a single step in the process. Arkat taught Noic the secrets that he had learned over the years, and began a test when the teaching was done.

This test was simple, but effective. Arkat took Noic to a table in the corner. On this table are several small items. Arkat says that the key to this is, he is going to let Noic look at the table for one minute. Then Noic will have to
list everything he can remember. After that they will drink and do it again. They will stop when Noic says every item after ten tankards of dark ale. Arkat also states that they will do this every day for a week.

At the end of the week, Arkat told Noic that he was impressed by his quick learning. Arkat told Noic to go to Voralia for his next step in the process.

Chapter 5

OOC: Summary so far

I had read in a post on the forum that it is good to leave a summary every 5th or so role entry. Here is a Summary so far:

1. Noic was removed from his tribe because of alcohol problems that the elders didn't like.

2. Noic wants to be known as a Drunken Master of the Assassins guild which is what his training was about while in his tribe.

3. Use to weave tapestries in his off time for fun.

4. Meets Corlx atthe inn and talks about weaving and drinking. Agrees to become a weaver to spread happiness through artistry.

5. Odd smell happens at the inn. (Secondary story going on, it makes the role entries kind of hard to follow in my opinnion.)

6. Noic goes to Arkham to speak with Shogai about drinking and fighting, Shogai teaches him to fight fluidly, then sends him to Akan to learn to keep his thoughts while drunk.

This is where we are at so far. Hope the summary helps and my writing is at least a little interesting to read. More to come!

Steps on the path to Drunken Master

A warm sun on his shoulder. Morning dew on the grass beside the road. These are the things that accompanied Noic on his path this day. He had heard of a man that might help him in his path to mastery of the guild skills
and doing them while intoxicated. Being one of the smaller cities in Thera the guildmaster of Arkham, Shogai, agreed to sit and speak about alcohol and the guild as a whole.

"The strikes of others are uncalculated and rash like the rocks in a stream and you must be like the water, if you wish to be a master." Shogai stated as Noic sat and listened intently. "Alcohol, in the correct amount, will help you
you flow around your opponent instead of your opponent making you move. You must control every moment of the fight, if you wish to truly master fighting while drunk."

After sharing some whiskey with the master, Noic spared for hours, learning the specific ways of flowing around combat. When they finished the instruction Shogai spoke "You now should learn about focusing your mind while you are
affected by the drink. Go to the north. To akan and speak with Arkat. He is a brewer of ale and is keen at keeping focused when drunk. He will teach you more."

Odd smells!

Last week, Noic had just returned to the inn. After saying hello to Olin and checking of the regulars, Noic sat down to think about a new tapestry. While pondering an idea for it, an odd stench rolled in to the inn like a cloud of poison.

Patrons were vomiting and gaging from the stench. Olin himself was looking for something to plunge his nose into to get away from it. Noic decided it would be best to gather Mliansref as soon as possible. While searching, Olar
stopped Noic by the fire. He began to tell Noic about a time many years ago that he had smelled that same smell before. Olar then went into a tale about a den in blackwater swamp that was full of women and dead fetuses.
There were runes on the ground from an evil magic. The fetuses were all half orc in nature.

Finally, after some time the smell had retracted from the inn. The fortress of the light had been notified and Noic set himself a new path in life. He wanted to help with whatever this was, but he was not of high enough title yet.
So he set his sights to his pinnacle.

Chance meeting of the Vicar

After Noic passed through the academy that most travelers go to, he began to wander the world. Unsure as to where to begin. He milled around the common cities searching for alcohol and guildhalls of the Assassins guild. The big
cities and civilization were amzaing to him.

One day, he stumbled upon a place named the Inn of the Eternal Star. He had heard a bit about it and about the heralds that ran it. He decided to stumble in and check it out. Inside he met Corlx, known as the vicar of booze.
After a long conversation Corlx had told Noic that the inn was in need of a weaver. How wonderful Noic thought because he had not had a chance to sit and weave since his exile from the tribe. Surely they would allow him here.
Noic volunteered to work for the inn and weave tapestries, and corlx gave him his first job; he was to weave a tapestry of Lord Arvam for his return to Thera.

Noic felt this was a good place to be in life, and perhaps here he will learn and even make a few others happy in the process.

The past

A few years ago, Noic Praliwin was a happy felar traveling with a tribe of the Silent Prowl clan. Without much care in the world, he studied and taught with the tribes assassins. Though, unlike most of the clan, Noic had a bit of a
fond taking to alcohol. While drinking, he got a tad wild for the rest of his clans folk. Though in Noic's mind he became more focused and in tests against others he performed better while intoxicated.

One day, while sitting alone in the dojo weaving , Noic's favorite pass time, the elders of his tribe confronted Noic.

"You must stop drink Noic. Will not allow wildness no more." Said Mizran the head elder. The other elders shook their heads in agreement.

Calmly, Noic rose to his wobbly feet, pulled out a bottle and drank dwn the entire contents. Snickering, he looked straight at them and said he would not put down the bottle and they would have to remove him from the tribe.

On that instance, the elders lunged. A great chaotic battle ensured. Claws and growls flew wildly this way and that! At the end of it Noic had knocked out two of the seven elders, but they were too much for him. Mizran drew a single
claw and sliced the mark of an exile over the left eye of Noic. They then drug him through the village and cast him out.

Beat and broken, Noic stood and pronounced to the village that he would not give up. He would become a drunken master and lead the assassins of Thera. His courage would not falter.
