Description

Lithe and thin - the child before you appears oddly dressed - armors
overlapping with seemingly unbearable weight for such a small frame. It is
then that you realize it is not a child you're looking it - rather - it is an
elf...and though he seems scarcely capable of carrying his weapons still he
manages to somehow carry himself with an air of confidence. His eyes are a
mottled curious brown, with oddly cropped disheveled blonde hair that pokes
out from underneath his helm like straw. His hands are delicate but scarred,
an inherent contradiction that matches the rest of this man's figure.

Beginnings...

What a glorious day in the life of the elf Taelyn. For many years he had
gazed upon his brethren in the guard of Darsylon and secretly wished for
more. He wished to live in honor as his ancestors did, brave warriors who
erupted from the gates of the city as a shining example for all to see,
emblazoned with the light of the Sun reflecting the purity of their hearts.

However, the day to day life of the guard was rarely so impressive as he
would believe in his younger days. So far all he has done has trained,
trained and trained - under the tutilege of the Captain Aronthliae - a fine
soldier but without much real combat experience. Despite what some may say
of the elves they can grow bored and so it was for Taelyn. Yet today would
be different.

His family had spent many generations serving the Kingdom of Daryslon - from
his ancestor magistrates, cousins amongst the guard, cousins in the
aristocracy, diplomats and traders. The blood of the kingdom ran alongside
his own much like the rain would run through the gutters of the city. Yet
still he yearned for more and he would finally have it. For today was the
day that Taelyn was released and given a different mission - he was to leave
the walls of the city and travel to the city of Tir Talath in the south.
There he would observe the training of the human's regimens. While he felt
the humans likely had little to offer to the High Elves it was at least a
chance to make his way out into the world.

With a great smile that he cast his pack up high on his shoulders and began
his trek through the Vale...
