Danjuh and Lona the Spirit Catcher
Danjuh and Lona are here, their two heads bickering with one another constantly.
DescriptionBefore you is one of the rarest sightings to walk Thera - a two-headed fire giant. A gargantuan beast of immense size, his broad shoulder base gives needed space for two necks and most of his clothing and armament has been torn to accommodate. Looking directly at them, it's as if the body is split directly into two different personalities. The left side seems cleaner while the right side seems uncaringly caked in dirt and blood. The right more menacing and wired like a chained animal, the left aloof and distracted. Both seem completely disorganized.
Lona, the left head, seems skittish and distracted...and slightly abused. His left eye is a soft shade of bruised purple, his nose a mangled mess, and his right ear is completely missing. He's hairless for the most part and is severely scarred as it seems he prefers to block weapons with his slighter smaller yet toughened skull. Despite his down-turned state, an unhinged hilarity fills his face with a fiery grin.
Danjuh, the right head, couldn't be more different - long ragged black hair, a deep ominous stare of blood red eyes and a set of jagged black teeth. More beast than man, his demeanor and attention span mimics an unhinged wild animal. Tethered to his brother, he seems to see nothing but fire and ash as he fumes at the world around him.

46078, Danjuh's Role Chapter 6

RoleChapter 6 OOC: What is the Forgotten Religion and who are they? Added Fri Aug 2 19:36:48 2013 at level 15:Figured it'd be worthwhile to make a note here for any Immortal trying to figure out what I'm attempting. The Forgotten is basically a council of long lost gods/beings who either have no followers, have gone to sleep or are trying to make a place in the world. Ancients who have a goal for Thera that hasn't taken hold yet.
The key to this is: I don't know what it is. I'm basically handing anyone a blank slate to work with.
Danjuh and Lona were born, "the Fated One", to accomplish this goal. One to pave the way through destruction, the other to chaotically rebuild from the ashes. I'm obviously attempting for a class change but this religion and interaction is fairly open to whatever direction the Immortals want to take it. If I run into Drokalantym who asks me something, or Saraba pops out of the woods and devours me, all of these Immortals call me via dreams or some brand new Immortal shows up.... or all of the above, who knows and it's really up to you. I kind of interpreted the Greenways empowerment as being an open-ended option for better or worse.

RoleChapter 5 Visions from the Forgotten - from Lona's perspective. Added Fri Aug 2 19:35:54 2013 at level 15:The druidic acolyte asked Danjuh and Lona to put their hands on the Altar of Fire and to close their eyes.
"Focus on your future. Think hard...both of you. Don't tell one another what you see... Look to when you meet the Forgotten...what will it be like? What will you have done? When do you see yourself coming before the Forgotten? What kind of...people are you?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lona closed his eyes and was blinded by a bright sunlight. Adjusting his eyes and grumbling about the pain, he found himself in a strange grove.
A lush and beautiful jungle, the onslaught of smells, sights, and feelings knocked the overly talkative giant quiet. The ground was filled a canvas of roots, vines and raw earth... built upon some odd ancient ruins. The grove was filled with insects, birds, squirrels, and all manners of wildlife that went about their lives - untouched, unbothered and untamed by the world of today. The pleasant thought that came to Lona's mind immediately was "the New Beginning"... and it was all because of him.
Hidden amongst the trees and shadows was a gathering of spirits of the Forgotten - gods, forces of nature, and astral beings of Thar-Eris. They seemed uninterested in Lona as they interacted, played, hunted, and supported the life around them... as if Lona was just another being and not an outsider. Brushing through the foliage as Lona chased a squirrel, causing ruckus among the creatures, he noticed his clothes had changed. He looked like those of the Grove, a druid and with it came an immediate sense of joy. He was a part of something, much bigger and better than himself and was no longer different. Guiding the power of the Ancients with his hand, the lands flourished, grew vibrant and more alive as it overtook the ruins completely...and he tripped a dryad which he felt was hilarious.
Lona was the implement of rebirth, the presence of change, the jolly and chaos of unpredictability. He would guide the world and become the voice of the Forgotten among the people to bring about a new age. It would be his to rebuild, and who knew what it would be. Lona turned his head to the right to see his brother but the world faded away as the sun glare grew unbearably strong. Awaking from the shared moment, Lona whispered his part in this world...
"Future makes the Fated One."

RoleChapter 4 Visions from the Forgotten - from Danjuh's perspective. Added Fri Aug 2 19:34:26 2013 at level 15:The druidic acolyte asked Danjuh and Lona to put their hands on the Altar of Fire and to close their eyes.
"Focus on your future. Think hard...both of you. Don't tell one another what you see... Look to when you meet the Forgotten...what will it be like? What will you have done? When do you see yourself coming before the Forgotten? What kind of...people are you?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danjuh closed his eyes and lurched forward as he felt himself accelerated through the darkness of his mind to a strange grove.
A blackened road crumbled beneath his feet. Flecks of bright ash floated through the smoke-filled air. A crumbled society of broken houses and buildings were just beyond the grove. Fire roared wildly from ragged tears in the land.... yet it felt oddly cold. The sky was dark but he could make out the Dark Moon above. The thought that came to Danjuh's mind immediately was "the End".... and it was his doing.
Standing before Danjuh was a crowded circle of ghostly visages of the Forgotten - gods, forces of nature, and astral beings of Thar-Eris. Standing in complete silence, their eery gazes gave a sense of belonging and pride. Taking hold of the moment, Danjuh looked down and noticed his clothes had changed. He looked like those of the Grove, a druid... and with it came an instant surge of memories and insight. The land was his to control, the wrath of nature his to command! Flexing his fist tightly, the land roared under an earthquake so powerful that the buildings fell to dust and the tears of fire grew to engulf the ruins.
Danjuh was the implement of nature's wrath, the beacon of destruction, the bane of civilization. He would burn away the impure and harness the power of Thar-Eris to enact change never before imagined upon Thera. Danjuh turned his head to the left to view his twin.... but the vision faded into blackness. Awaking from the shared moment, Danjuh whispered his role in this world...
"Fated One makes our future."

RoleChapter 3 "Our fate we must understand....or it is our end." Added Sun Jul 21 12:40:06 2013 at level 1:Danjuh and Lona were left under the care of the denizens of the Grove. No one dared question the request from the Eight to protect this strange and abandoned child. The Eight were immortal trees, forefathers to all trees of Thar-Eris, that rarely spoke so clearly so this odd request was taken seriously. The druids taught the child as best they could although it was fairly common the two would get distracted or start fighting each other. Lessons from the dryad were more successful but mainly because the two would snicker and stare at her exposed breasts. The ogre taught the boys the basics of fighting, which would have normally been difficult for two minds and one set of hands but the two were naturals and dropped their pride when it came to battle. The eldest druid taught the boys of the Greenways; some history of the Forgotten, the elements, the seasons and much more of all things Thar-Eris. All in all, the two were raised well despite the chaotic nature of the two... but no one knew for what purpose. The two had been trained in the ways of the druid but it would be the Forgotten who would need to allow such a fate.
It had been almost a hundred years since that fated night. Danjuh and Lona were now equipped to roam the world... but what would the world do with them? And better yet, what would they do to the world...
"Our fate we must understand....or it is our end."

RoleChapter 2 The gathering of the Forgotten Added Sun Jul 21 12:38:34 2013 at level 1:The royal family and their entourage returned inside, lead by the raging Queen - a constant barrage of "I told you, imbeciles!" echoed through the windy passages. A single soldier headed down the mountain, under orders to drown the abomination child that now screamed from the pain of falling earlier. As he approached the marshy edges of Mount Kiadana-Rah, a guttural menacing growl came from the edge of the dark forest. In the dead of night, the panicked soldier only had a moment to piss himself before an abnormally large beast lunged forward and savagely ripped him in half. Drenched in blood and chewing on the bones of the soldier, Saraba the Great Wild Beast met eyes with the screaming two-headed child. Fighting the urge to silence the child as a midnight snack, Saraba's ears perked up. The others were arriving.
Burning sirocco winds pelted the land as Drokalantym landed to rest inside the warm river. From behind Saraba, came a shadowy wolf named Joheem. A giant grey raven named only the Fell Raven landed among the forest branches. Emerging from the mountainside came two beings - the First Lord of Earth, Nordiach and the Living Flame. Rising from the glassy black river came a being of pure shadow called the Dark One. The clouds and winds above swirled together and formed a ghostly visage named the Harvester. More gods and goddesses, astral beings and forces of nature came forward as the Forgotten gathered together.
It was a very weird night indeed.
What transpired that night no mortal knows, not even Danjuh and Lona. What the Great Oracle had foretold had come true, but it seemed that the world of mortals paid fate and prophecy little respect.... which angered the Forgotten. The gathering was brief and then the Forgotten dispersed into the realm of Thar-Eris. A single druid came and took the child to his new home.

RoleChapter 1 The Forgotten Two Added Sun Jul 21 12:33:43 2013 at level 1:"In the Month of Ancient Darkness, on the Day of Deception, beneath the true Dark Moon, atop the Eternal Fire, two children will be born - their future decides the fate of Thera. One of destruction, one of creation... a single chaotic force of nature. Spirits come and guide us! Our fate we must understand....or it is our end." -last words of the Great Oracle of the Fire, circa 4000 years ago =============================================================================
The clearing at the peak of Mount Kiadana-Rah was unusually busy with activity. Patrols of the Royal Guard marched in force around the clearing, defending the active volcano from the siege of storm giants. The royal family was present and impatiently awaiting the coming ceremony. The droning hum of several shamans, witch doctors and mystics filled the night air along with the painful breaths of a pregnant woman.
"Oh Fell Raven, Oh Living Flame, Oh Dark Moon, Oh-..."
The young Oracle rambled off in prayer the names he had been instructed to recite on this night. For generations the names and prayers were passed on to each new Oracle of the Royal Family.... but their purpose and relevance had not as it was deemed unimportant. He was interrupted by a large shove from someone behind him.
"Two boys... twins to rule Thera!" The King was overly excited as the pregnant woman moaned and began to push. It was not his wife the Queen who sat fuming nearby - she had refused raising another child for some "absurd prophecy"... but the King wasn't about to turn down a possible key to world domination - impregnating another woman was just a bonus.
The young Oracle hastily answered "Yes, their coming will be a great moment my King." The Oracle turned to the young woman now lost in the throes of childbirth. He briefly looked into the sky again trying to find the rumored "Dark Moon" but saw nothing but an empty sky.
The ground began to rumble as the Volcano rumbled below. The cheers of the King were quickly met with the cheers of his troops. The King approached the surrogate mother of his future children just as her cries were cut short as she passed out. With a final muscle spasm, the two were born... but there was no uproar of praise.
The King slowly reached down and lifted into the air an abomination - held by a stubby leg, a single child hung upside down... that had two heads. Two young cries echoed through the fallen woods of Mount Kiadana-Rah. The King released his grip in disgust and the child hung in the air the way bricks don't, slamming into the ground with a thud.
Reaching for his sword, the King stared in silence at the speechless Oracle. The look of confusion stayed on the Oracle's face as his head rolled down the mountainside.
