Nukahv the Dweller of the Wilds, Commander of Battle

Description

Your gaze comes across a savage looking fela, hunching before you with a
muscular build. This beastly looking figure is a grimy mess of dirt and
fur, matted down with grime and grease. His fur is a grayish black color,
like the mud in the deepest depths of Thera. Blood stains streak down his
face and litter his fur coat, hard to see against the dark color. His
body bears many visible scars, and there is no doubt this creature has
known pain. Two pointy ears stick out from each side gently to the side
of his head. His eyes are dark and shiny, seeming to flicker from white
to grey in the fading light. A thin brow falls over his lids stretching
around his shady eyes and giving a look of distinction and deadliness.
Large whiskers stick out from about his face, coming to slick black tips
at the end. He is clad in mostly leathers and furs to accompany his war
worn armor. All of his armor has been smeared with mud and grime, an
effective camouflage in certain terrains. Long, razor sharp claws twitch
just slightly every moment or two, giving the appearance that they
eagerly seek the unfortunate flesh of his next prey upon them.

Raze the world

War. The word rolled out of Nukahv's mouth often in past months, almost
as often as blood stained his long, razor sharp claws. He had grown into
a vicious beast, his hunger for blood and death never sated, never
satisfied. He was the Commander of War, the the village army was his to
unleash on the world. Mages feared his name, and the Tribunal Spire had
all but crumbled under the weight of his initial siege. But Nukahv was
not satisfied. In his bloody rage of a war on magic, perhaps a hint of
madness had crept into his bloodthirst. The village would be strong,
feared. Revered across the lands. All would feel its power, feel the
sharp claws of war digging into their backs. Burn them all, raze the
world.....and from the ashes would the village rise triumphant.

Chapter 2

Witch hunter

Magic. Nukahv could smell the sting of it in his nostrils when travelers
passed in the forests. It was a sharp, vile smell to him that he could
recognize from a half league away. Though it had been years since his
captivity, he remembered the painful sting of the necromancers deep into
his bones. Liberated from captivity, he fled back into the wilds from
which he was taken. The last of his people, he found a cave leading deep
into Thera where he felt safe, and he adapted to it. The caverns of Thera
became home to him. He hunted, grew, and survived in the caves around
him. For ten years he lived below the surface. Isolated, he grew savage
and uncivilized. Though his native village tongue remained in his head,
he had forgotten most of the common Theran tongue, leaving him with very
few words to speak should he cross anyone. He had only his life, his
mind, and the quenchless thirst for blood. Magic had been the foulest
thing ever to touch him, and he felt traces of its taint even in his
scars. Nukahv tirelessly hunts as a savage of the lands, trusting his
senses and instincts to guide him as he hunts sorcerers and witches to
slaughter for blood sacrifice to ancient Saraba, the Great Wild Beast.

Chapter 1

A savage born to the tragedies of dark magic

Nukahv was born into a small village of savage renagades in the jade
mountains. His early years were simple, hunting and fishing with his
father and the tribe, or spending time with is mother learning the
history of his people. It was a good life, a simple life. When Nukahv was
just five years old, dark forces came upon his village. In the middle of
the night. Nukahv awoke to loud blasts and screaming. A dark necromancer
had come, releasing his undead army and disease on the villagers. Nukahv
could do nothing but watch as he was frozen in horror at what he was
seeing. The massacre lasted less then an hour, by then, all were dead but
Nukahv and two other felar children. The necromancer grabbed them up,
taking them away to his lair deep in the mountains. The dark necromancer
enslaved them all, forcing Nukahv into a life of labor. His language
skills very simple from not being allowed to talk, Nukahv lived like this
for eleven years. Beaten and burned with magic when not working as hard
as his captor wished, Nukahvs stringy coat of fur is forever scarred and
mangled. He was fed only scraps of leftover raw meat, making him even
more savage than before by the day. One day, Nukahv was in his captors
lab, cleaning and scrubbing, when the necromancer walked in with his
jagged magical blade. He spoke to Nukahv softly, telling him of his
obligation to give his body to him for magical study, how his time had
come. Nukahv thundered out a cry of refusal, and grabbing the broom he
held he swung it in one swift movement, snapping the broom side off on
the wall and stabbing the then sharpened end into the necromancers neck.
The necromancer slumped to the ground dead, and Nukahv scrambled out of
the dungeon to the surface where the sun and cool breeze awaited him. Not
knowing where to go or what to do with his life, he ventured out into the
wilds of Thera, vowing to make sure what happened to him never happened
to anyone ever again.
