Karr the Sukuinage

Description

You see before you totally naked avian figure, stretching to about
seven feet. What was once beautiful plumage - you can see just a
tiny bit remaining at the edges - is now drab and dull. His skin
seems to be very thick after many years spent without any clothes.
A gracefully curving beak adorns his face, curving sharply down at
it's tip. His golden eyes looking out seem to both embrace death,
yet laugh at it. You can also notice very sad smile on his face.
His claws look really impressive - very big, sharp and steel-like.
You see two very big beautiful tattoos on his hands, obviously it's
Tahren's work. On his left hand you read - "My Honor is my life",
on his right hand you see - "There is no life without Honor".

Karr's views on the changes in the Village of Battleragers.
Added Tue Apr 26 18:41:13 2011 at level 27:

1. The Honor should be the most important for anybody who lives in
the Village of Battleragers. The legendary Tablet and A large plaque
in the War Room should be rewritten to reflect this.

2. The Sixth Commandment of the BattleRagers (In times of war or
great danger to the cabal, however, parity is less important.) should
be rewritten in the more honorable and less vague way.

3. Thiefs, assassins and rangers who learned how to hide in the
shadows or trees should not be allowed to live in the Village. All
current thiefs, assassins and rangers should leave the Village of
Battleragers forever.

4. There should be no new scouts allowed to live in the Village of
Battleragers. All current scouts should finally gather some honor and
choose if they want to be berserkers or defenders.

5. The Second Commandment of the BattleRagers (and Masters of the
Five Magics) should be rewritten a bit.

Karr finally finds the Goal of his life.
Added Tue Apr 26 18:39:24 2011 at level 27:

Karr met many different people in the Village of Battleragers, some
of them are assassins Syther, Sikkak and Wikataw. It's obvious that
in the presense of these people other villagers become less honorable
too. When Sikkak woke up after the rest the first thing he heard was
an order from the Commander of Battle "Remain in the shadows, Sikkak.
Islanders just got the head.". But something is even more worse.

Karr found that thief Flaaayin is Drillmaster of Battle right now.
The guild of thiefs is the only true unhonorable guild in Thera.
It's possible to drag the mage into one of the special rooms where
they can't use their magic, but there is nothing can be done to stop
the thief from stealing (other than taking thief's eyes away). It's
merely stupid incident that one of them is Drillmaster of Battle
right now.

Karr also met 2 villagers who follow the sphere of Honor - cloud
giant Jikahl and arial Kharn. It was very sad to hear this from
Jikahl: "If they are in our ruins and next to our Village, you can
break parity to slay them with me.". When Syther and Sikkak were
hiding in the shadows Karr went to the Nexus island to try retrieve,
and Kharn did the same. However few hours later tribunal assassin
Almahid also came there and attacked Karr. Karr retreated, but didn't
leave the island and few hours later he saw it that Kharn and village
applicant Olum together murdered lone Almahid. Karr asked both
Jikahl and Kharn why do they dishonor themselves in some situations,
they both answered that the Sixth Commandment of the BattleRagers (In
times of war or great danger to the cabal, however, parity is less
important.) somehow "orders" them to dishonor themselves.

Karr always had the goal to be honorable himself and try to make
other people to become more honorable too. But he always thought that
this goal is too vague. But now Commander of Battle hides in the
shadows himself and orders other villagers to do the same, the member
of the most unhonorable guild in Thera is now Drillmaster of Battle,
people who walk under the sphere of honor often dishonor themselves
and blame the legendary Tablet. Karr finally finds the Goal of his
life - to change the Village of Battleragers.

Few small changes in the Karr's body and his Code of Honor.
Added Tue Apr 26 18:37:06 2011 at level 27:

Karr now treats most of his enemies with respect, not all of them
though. For example Karr will never respect any thief even if the
most beautiful avian woman in Thera begs for it during great sex.
Few hours later, in the morning of that same day Karr asked Tahren
to delete his old tattoos and make the new ones. On his left hand
now you can read - "My Honor is my life", on his right hand you can
see - "There is no life without Honor".

Karr has the Goal in his life - to make big changes in the Village
of Battleragers. He is now much weaker than hero villagers and it
will take him few centuries to become hero himself. So the only
possible way to change the village is to be an example, to be the
perfect villager with Honor himself. A large plaque in The War Room
says that "Never should you pursue those who are not our true
enemies without the leave of the Gods of Battle.".

Karr changed his own Code of Honor a bit and now he no longer hunts
assassins who hide in the shadows or rangers who hide in the trees.
He also doesn't actively hunt those who are seen in the big groups
fighting when having unfair advantages in numbers. However Karr
Honorbound still doesn't like such people and he believes that such
people should never be allowed to live in the Village of
Battleragers near the honorable warriors and bards.

There are also some exceptions here though: Karr will always murder
all thiefs and people who fight when having too crazy and unfair
advantages in numbers (like 4-5 people against 1) too often. And
even large plaque in The War Room or legendary Tablet will not
change it. Overall Karr is very evil arial and it's not too hard
to make him fight you if you do something really unhonorable.
Assassins and rangers who hide near other villagers with the hope
to assassinate or ambush them are to be actively hunted too.

"Very important moment in Karr's life" or "Zhincala's grave".
Added Tue Apr 26 18:34:57 2011 at level 27:

It was midnight when Scion conjurer Zhincala attacked the giant at
the entrance to the Village of Battleragers. The destructor had an
ebony scepter, but there were 3 villagers to defend the village. Few
hours later massive giant died and the village lost control of the
ebony scepter. However half hour later Zhincala died there too.

Right after that Jikahl said "Well done gentlemen.", then he added
"Let us claim it again.". And Sikkak answered him "Aye, best way to
spit on Zhincala's grave.". Something has changed inside the Karr
Honorbound that moment, he suddenly understood very clearly many
things he didn't think about before.

Karr asked himself few questions that moment: "Who is worth the
respect here? Zhincala, who retrieved the ebony scepter from 3
villagers and died? Or 3 villagers who are proud of ganking lone
mage of 43 level and want to spit on mage's grave? Is Zhincala
unhonorable dog or simply the person who is blinded by the power
of magic? How can i even call Zhincala unhonorable dog after what
i just saw? Why do i always treat my enemies like unhonorable dogs?
Aren't some (or maybe even all?) of them simply misguided, lost in
their thoughts? Aren't they simply blinded after using different
unfair advantages: be it the power of magic, or hiding in the
shadows or trees, or even the power of having massive advantages
in numbers? How will enemies gain more Honor if they don't respect
themselves? How will they respect themselves if i show them no
respect and treat them like unhonorable dogs? DO I REALLY WANT TO
BE LIKE sikkak? How can i be the man of Honor when i look like
Sikkak? Everybody around can see that stupid tattoo i made when i
was younger with the words "Death to the Unhonorable dogs", right?
And why unhonorable dogs? Are all the dogs unhonorable or what?
It's very nice to think, why don't i do it more often?!".

"First meeting with Borkahd Kahn'ku" or "Unmade challenge".
Added Tue Apr 26 18:33:06 2011 at level 27:

Karr was moving from the city of Udgaard to the Darsylon looking for
the group of mages to fight. Suddenly translucent black flames has
risen from the ground as agonized cries for mercy filled the air near
Karr. As the flames faded, the Warlord Borkahd loomed before him.

It seems that Borkahd Kahn'ku was a bit bored and was looking for the
mortal who would be stupid enough to challenge him so the Warlord of
Battle would murder such mortal in a very painful way. But the attempt
to use Karr's Honor against him to make him challenge the Warlord
of Battle failed. Karr is not stupid enough to even think about
challenging the Warlord of Battle!

Borkahd Kahn'ku spent some time speaking with Karr instead of killing
him. Few hours later Karr Honorbound was inducted to the Village of
Battleragers. Then the Warlord vanished and Karr moved to the village
to build his own nest and meet other villagers there.

Karr was surprised how big the Village of Battleragers is and after
speaking with Giant and Destructor he built his own nest not far away
from the Shrine of the BattleRagers. Then Karr studied the legendary
Tablet and the large plaque of polished steel in The War Room.

He was very upset after reading about Intelligence, Strength, Wisdom,
Courage and not seeing anywhere even a single word about the Honor.
Also Karr thought that the Sixth Commandment of the BattleRagers (In
times of war or great danger to the cabal, however, parity is less
important.) sounds too vague. It potentially can be used as an excuse
(or even an order?) to dishonor themselves by the weaker people.

Karr's Code of Honor.
Added Fri Apr 15 19:25:14 2011 at level 5:

1. The Honor is above everything else.

2. Never hide in the shadows or somehow else conceal yourself like
some unhonorable dogs do. But it is right to sneak and move
silently and fast. Always murder those who hide, camouflage or
somehow else conceal themselves.

3. Never wear, hold or wield anything (there are no exceptions, not
even fine leather pants or the things you can make by yourself).
Never take or carry anything except the food, water, boat and few
coins. Use the coins only to buy food, water, boat or pay the
trainers and guildmasters for their teachings.

4. Never take anything from anybody's corpse (not even the food,
water, boat or coins - take these from the ground).

5. Never follow anybody, never let anybody follow you, never group
with anybody, never ask anybody for any kind of help. Rely only
on yourself.

6. Never attack members of the adventuring guilds who are currently
fighting in the fair battle (when there are battles of 1 vs 1,
2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 and so on). But it is right to attack members of
the bigger group when there is unfair battle going on (it is right
to attack the group of 2 in 2 vs 1 battle, to attack the group of
3 in 3 vs 2 battle and so on). Only members of the adventuring
guilds matter in the Honor affairs and it is right to attack
someone even when the stupid enemy decides to fight 100 drunk
sailors in the Seaport of Hamsah Mu'tazz at the same time. Always
murder unhonorable dogs who dishonor themselves and fight when
having massive advantage in numbers over opponents too often.

7. Never use any magic of any sort like some unhonorable dogs do.
Always murder any mage you can find and whoever helps the mage.

8. Never waste the time doing something unimportant when there are
unhonorable dogs around at the moment. Always try to murder them
whenever there are at least some slim chances to murder an enemy
and stay alive.

9. Fight smart and use any possible tactics you can (what aren't
unhonorable obviously). Some (but not all) examples:
- run away for some time when there is absolutely nothing you can
do to kill at least one enemy or when you are very hurt,
- kill an enemy even if he is sitting on the market square of
Galadon convulsing on the ground with the few arrows inside his
body (the only exception is when you was in the same room with
an enemy who was fighting another member of the adventuring
guilds in the fair battle and was seriously hurt during this
battle obviously),
- use different battlegrounds where an enemy will be attacked by
the members of the not-adventuring guilds, where an enemy
cannot use his magic or where an enemy cannot flee from easily,
- murder the healer first if there is one healing an enemy you
are going to fight.

The "hunts" in the Udgaard mountains.
Added Fri Apr 15 19:22:08 2011 at level 5:

Karr's parents live near the trade road in the Arial city above the
Udgaard mountains. Every evening they and few other young avian
families who live nearby "hunt" in the mountains. They forms groups
of 5-10 arial citizens where everybody wields at least one steel
sword (male avians often wield two).

Then they look for the lone well dressed travelers in the Udgaard
mountains and murder such lone travelers in groups. They even manage
to murder sentries from Udgaard when about 3 or 4 arial groups
hunt together. Then they rob the corpses and return to the city.

Every evening Karr heard yet another great story about his strong
parents and many other strong arials who killed another weak and
slow sentry from Udgaard. He saw all those armors and money arials
took from the corpses, he saw it how happy his parents were.

Young Karr hated those arials, he hated his own parents and lost
respect to them. He hated everything every evening and tried to
explain them all what Honor is. Karr was beging them all to stop
such "hunts", but even his own parents were laughing at him.

Karr left Arial city when he was 17 years old. He took only few
coins, a bit of food and water with himself. Karr follows his own
Code of Honor and he hopes that people around him will follow his
example and become honorable too. Karr hopes to return to his home
one day and gain the respect to his own parents once again.

So yeah, Honorbound is a crappy lastname anyways, but after watching you and Kharn gank down Tristvan two to one...yeah I'm crapping on it bigtime.

Thu Apr 28 10:02:45 2011 by 'An Immortal' at level 28 (54 hrs):
An Immortal added 800 exp for: A lot of info here. Pretty much reflections on how battle sucks. The story about Zhincala tells about how villagers ignore parity and use defending as an excuse to gang. Whiny but reminds me why I rarely like battle folks anymore.
