Description

Despite being fair skinned and having very blonde hair, this human
seems to be very dark. It is perhaps the dark circles underneath his
cold blue eyes, or the unfriendly scowl that makes his face seem as though
it is the only expression it is capable of. Yet again, it could be all these
traits combined into the nearly visible menacing aura that seems to radiate
off this man. As for a build, he is very muscular. It is obvious he is skille
in the arts of warfare, however, the various arcane trappings he carries
show him to be something just a bit more.

tell me, did it just slip off your finger, what??'
'I. Lost it in a bet.'
'A BET???!!! How could you bet that ring?! Don't you remember what it MEANS?!?!'
'It isn't like that! They cheated, they set me up to lose!'
'Damn you, Azophet! I don't CARE what they did!!! You have shown to me that you do
not care! You are just too weak of mind! You are too chaotic, unpredictable! You do
things on a whim! How can I be with someone like that? No, I cannot. You have
disgraced our bond of trust. Get out! Get out of my SIGHT!!!!'

Azophet blinked his eyes as the memories faded. Adrenaline raced through his veins.
Those memories had once caused so much pain that he would fall to the ground crying in
anguish. Not anymore. He was stronger now. He was more disciplined. Anger had
replaced the pain and he was full of it. This man cheated him out of his ring. This man
caused his beautiful Aryna to despise him and to make matters worse. He did it
intentionally so he could have her.

Azophet's body seemed to buzz from all the anger he felt at the moment. It felt good to
let it wash over him. It gave him strength and focus. He glanced over at the myriad of
blades organized nicely on the smaller table to the side. A wicked sneer crept over his
face as he bent over to grab the pail of water to use to wake his victim. This was going to
be a long night, Azophet thought to himself, for him!

Azophet smiled with satisfaction as he secured the final strap on the table, holding down
the unconscious body of a man. He had been waiting for this for a long time he thought to
himself. It had taken quite some time and planning to get to this moment. This man was
responsible for a great many changes that had happened in his life over the last year.
Some of those changes, he had to admit, were blessings in disguise. Unfortunately, some
were not. It had been this man who had exposed and preyed upon Azophet's character
flaws all those months ago. Never again, Azophet thought determinedly to himself, never
again would he allow himself to be so reckless, so weak, so undisciplined. Anger and
sadness washed over him as the painful memories forced him to look down at the pale
colored ring of skin on his ring finger. Never again, he thought once more as his jaw
clenched tightly, this time allowing the memories to come.

'Azophet, my love! Hurry!' Aryna giggled as she ran down the forest path.
'I'm coming!'
'Here, Azophet, isn't it beautiful? This is the place I wanted to show you' Aryna swung
her arms about in a circle in a colorful circle of trees.
'Yes, it is? Is this what you wanted to show me?'
'Yes, but, I also want to give you this' Aryna produced a beautiful gold ring from a
pouch, 'this ring was my fathers. I want you to have it. Never take it off, for it is a symbol
of our love and your commitment to me.'

'Azophet, come on! Make the bet! Laon says he can beat you. We all know you're the
best at archery. But, Laon is from Hamsah, and says he can beat you! You can't let him
denounce you like this! Where's your pride, man?'
'I told you I have no coin'
'Well, surely, we can figure something out. What about that ring? It looks to be worth the
bet.'
'No, not the ring.'
'Oh come on, you aren't afraid of losing, are you? Think of your reputation! If you don't
bet, you concede that Laos is better than you! Make the bet!'
