Description

A thick mane of white hair, stylishly kept falls to this half-drows
shoulders. Light red eyes sit over a button nose and perfect mouth witch
contains startlingly white teeth. His ears are slightly pointed, and his
frame a touch more bulky which give away his half blood heritage. The lack
of scars and the slimness of build give away that he is probably not a
fighter. He stands around six feet tall and has a presence about him that is
obvious. You see he is wearing......

Too long I have had to smoke my way from battles. Ooze my way into
groups of fools and sycophants and smile and laugh. I do what I can.
Like providing Ness with the location of the fools I am with to feed her
weapon and then using them to acquire power for myself. Deliciously
treacherous. Just like the Underdark. QUIET. We will have to face it.
WHEN I CHOOSE, NOT YOU WEAKLING. Now I have the toughness of ice to go
with the power of my magma. We will see how cocky the Empire is now.
And that horrid Village.
Now perhaps I can find my rods. Though you are right, the Gods probably
hid them all down there as a cruel joke. We will have to face it. Soon.

Hatred and prophecy

I found a word. Ccul'gra. After teleporting it was there. In a
journal. In a castle. I was intrigued. I sought out more. Most never
heard. Some wouldn't talk. Until forced. Conversation ensued. A dark
bar. A library. The prophecy unfolds. Eternal Darkness. The loss of
that infernal sun. The destruction of the Empire. The Village. Power
for me. This is the ambition now. I will follow where it leads. The
Underdark? NO. THERE WILL BE NO NEED TO GO BACK THERE. But if the
search takes us there? IT WILL NOT. QUIET.

I have studied. Learned to ooze my way into adventuring groups. Oozed
the Empirites. I use them and they don't even know my hate for them. I
learned to become smoke when struck at. Like magma, my spells are
devastating. Soon I will learn to become hard as ice when struck. Then
I can seek out my discoveries in earnest. I can research more on this
prophecy. I have ideas already. Shadow, close to smoke. Maybe there.

Sun still hurts my eyes. Hate it. Only thing I miss about the
Underdark. Weakness. Don't even think about that place. WEAKNESS.

I have power now. I have built myself up. Used others to empower me,
Something the other me could never have done. Hide the hatred. Smile.
Chuckle. Play nice. I have confidence now. Not always. WEAKNESS.
QUIET. THINK. Much more that I ever had. Spells flow through me. The
spark of life. Magic. If I had only had it sooner. Had it
when............WEAKNESS. Erase it. I must study harder. Learn

It is true. I stumble through, blind with hunger, and land at the feet of
the guildmasters of invokers. He looks me over and shrugs. HE HANDS ME A
DAGGER AND SHOWS ME THE BOOK OF BEGINNING SPELLS. He tells to go and see if
I can survive the academy depths. He says food and gold await there for
those who take it. I am ravenous. I run through, killing with ease with the
new spells and eating pieces of the dead until I find one that sells food.
He gives me a task. menial as it is I complete it, and he sends me on. More
tasks. People asking me to do things. ASKING!SPEAKING AS I AM AN EQUAL.
Well most. The one called Dorothy will pay. My prayer answered I learn to
become invisible, but now I don't wish to disappear from myself anymore. Now
I have magic. I am strong. There is a new feeling inside now with my Hatred
and Anger. I don't know what it is. I like it.

Chapter 1

The breaking

TAKE IT ALL, HALF-BREED! I scream again, as much from the pain as the
indignation. The other two hold my wrists tighter, not that I could break
either one of their holds alone. Tears fall freely, hate explodes as I try
to escape, to no avail. OH, HE'S GETTING INTO IT NOW. LOVING IT. I wish
death upon them, but no god answers.

I lie on the floor of this filthy jakes. A puddle of blood around my
backside. Every movement is painful. It takes half an hour just to stand.
I hear the revellry from inside the tavern and know thats where my rapists
are. I skulk off the other direction. I see a caravan leaving for the
surface. Hateful sneers preceed another robbing, charging way more since I'm
a half-breed. They take all I have. I am a male half-breed living in the
Underdark. Penniless. What small portion of dignity and sense of self I had
was left on that bathroom floor. I wish I could just disappear. Turn to
ooze and crawl of into a crevice. A centipede crawls over me and I smash it
in my hands, reveling in that small amount of power. I have only hatred
left. For myself, for others. Hatred and anger. The wagon hits a bump and
I grunt in pain. A reminder. One I will never forget.

I arrive at the surface. My body healed from the passing days of travel. I
am thrown off. Told Galadon is to the southeast. I assume that is a town.
Hours turn into days. I am now starving and dying of thirst. I finally
reach the town and throw myself into the fountain. People gawk but I don't
care. I feel no shame. The watch pulls me out and pushes me towards the
academy. I mutter I just want to disappear. They both laugh and say I
should be a mage then. I tell them I am a male and a half breed, i would
never be allowed to study magic. Confusion takes the place of disgust of
their faces. With snorts of derision they shove me down the portal of the
Academy.
