Chapter 1

Life.

Life. Prior to serving an authoritative figure as an Elite of the
Blade Sect, I spent much time as an Imperial Blade. At this stage,
I began spreading my influence. I note the strength of the Battle
Ragers, Haters of Magic. I killed many, however regardless of them
drawing power from the Bloody Head or not. The times in which I did
fall them, I began announcing their deaths for all of Empire to hear.
The dwindling spirit of Imperial Citizens would strengthen as word of
my victories began spreading throughout Thera.

One battle in particular, I recollect. This battle would catch the
attention of the BladeMaster, guardian of the sacred Codex. At the
time prior to the battle, I decided to campaign upon Mount Kiadana
Rah. I campaigned there with Sostun, a drow invoker of the Spire I
was quite comfortable in travelling with, and another whom I do not
remember. The younger Villagers, four of them, came for the Bloody
Head. Their moves were precise, but in their numbers were far too
over-confident. They struck down the first set of Centurions whom
secured the northern entrance of Balator. They proceeded as I kept
my group upon the Mount, as I neared a new title and was anxious to
claim it. Upon attaining it, I quickly began towards Balator with
Sostun. We engaged upon Imperial Road, and Sostun who unfortunately
quickly fell without offensively assisting. Watching Sostun fall,
I saw before me four of them. Blurred with a passion that overcame
everything of me at the time, I now harnass it much better, I fell
them all and claimed victory.

The BladeMaster would personally congratulate me for all of Empire
to hear of my might, yet scorn my tardiness. I bowed to him, for
I had made a grave mistake that could legitimately had me casted
from the Empire. I had chosen myself over Empire. The BladeMaster
corrected me in my ways, we move on.

Chapter 2

Cause.

Cause. Treslith, an Elite Blade of Empire, administered the
bloodoath to me. I bound myself to Empire. Approximately of
the fifteenth rank, many would begin querying me of my purpose.
I would refer them to a poem archived at the Lyceum. However,
I myself shall scribe as well. I envision the future of Thera.
I envision this land to be united under one banner emblazoned
with the sacred Imperial Codex. The Codex, in which we draw
power, to spread salvation of the Bloodoath. This future is
a more peaceful resolve than the one we occupy. This future
is full of progress, much much moreso than now. And so I wage
this war against those that oppose, the Marans, the Villagers,
the Outlanders, and the betraying Scions.

I would claim my cause the most righteous for lack of hypocrisy.
Furthermore, I would claim my cause the most righteous for the
purpose would designate a much better Thera than any other of
these rebellious factions plan.

On topic of hypocrisy, I would write. Why is it the Marans not
call war upon a Village led by a duergar. Why is it this Jinroh,
leader of the ferocious barbarians draw a treaty with the Spire,
whom appoint a shapeshifter Provost. The Scions, their hypocrisy
is rampant in that they surely betray, as they did the first Empire,
any others to take them in confidence. The Outlanders, ahhh the
dwellers of the Refuge. Where they lack hypocrisy, they lack spirit
to wage this war.

On topic of the future of Thera. I once spoke to Lariya, Marshall
of the Fortress at the time. I asked her, were she successful in
vanquishing Empire, what then. To that, she had no answer. Ill
prepared perhaps, the Marans do not seek the best for Thera, they
merely seek to quench their thirsts' for blood.

Strength.

Strength. Many others would have fallen prey to live a life
full of hatred, seeking vengeance and retribution for a cause
that took away their father and mother. However, I was meant
to be something so much greater. Self-sacrifice, the things
held dear to me, held dear by anyone, my mother and father
was a small price to pay. I payed it and stayed the course.
Watching my mother and father slain, something that(the rest
of this memoir seems to be faded and unlegible).

Childhood.

Childhood. When I was a Baron of War, approximately of the
thirty-fifth rank in the warrior's guild, the most talented
Blade in the echelon in which I served Emperor Yanacek, I
attended an event held at the Inn of the Eternal Star. The
content of this event was in pertenance to taking in and to
accept the Light. My presence ws naturally unwelcomed. I
remember this day, this day I met a Golron, later to be named
Marshall. I remember this day more importantly having met
an Elder Prophet of the Light. Vahletharien questioned what
I knew of Empire and its' "oppressive" ways, to paraphrase.

Unlike other Emperor's whom attended the finest educational
institutions Thera provided, I was a student of the forest,
one located northwest of Galadon. The Ashes of Nowhere could
be considered my home as a child. My social interaction was,
unlike theirs, not with princes and worldly scholars. Mine
was of those who would campaign in the burning forests. The
warriors, the rangers, mainly. I would mimic these warriors
and their maneuvers. I would feast upon the butchering deeds
of rangers of all races. Survival, a testament to my strength.

Why did the most powerful mortal now in Thera need to live such
an undesirable childhood? I answered to the Prophet that day,
"The very Empire I serve orphaned me." Intriguing, indeed.
