Description

A cowled presence hulks here, standing at about ten or eleven feet in height.
Thought garbed in mostly black, as you peer through the holes of his robe you
see that his skin is a copper red. His eyes shine brightly, though it is
impossible to tell if it is from an inner light or just a mere reflection.
His calloused hands grip his weapons of choice tightly, and the many scars
and wounds on his body tells of untold battles that he had fought. As the
figure turns slightly to one side, you see branded on his cheek a tattoo of
a black book, his family's symbol.

Evil and Order.

Epistemology. What is good? What is evil? Are they two truly opposing ideas?
Or is one just a twisted form of the other? To Khurehl, all is the same.
Those who are of the so-called "light" claim they are different from those
who are evil, for they do not take pleasure in killing. But Khurehl does not
take pleasure in killing. He kills because it fulfills his own One Law. He
does not kill out of delight. He kills for Order. Domination. Does that make
him one of the Light? Does that make those of the Light, Evil?

There exists a Veil in this world. Not the Veil that thickens and thins as
the tides of magic swirl, but another, that covers the eyes of all in Thera.
People believe there is a difference between Light, and Evil. Good and
Darkness. However, if one were to strip away the Veil, one would ralize all
is the same. There is no Light. It is an illusion, merely another form of
evil. All hold the seed of evil within them, and they merely use the concept
of Light to impose their own will, for they still instill the fear of the Evil
inside weak souls. Like all others, they are controlled by their own base
desires of control and domination. Khurehl saw past the Veil, past
the illusions and hypocrisies of the Light.

And what good is Chaos? Why choose Order? Khurehl saw Order as essential. It
was part of his One Law, and it helped him achieve his goals. Who wants Chaos?
Chaos makes accomplishing feats harder. Order forces others to bow before
you. Chaos, the road less taken may be an interesting road, but Order, the well-paved road is the easiest to travel. Order is a convenience.
