Description

His black hair flows down the back of his head to his shoulders. The
natural curls look slightly unkempt, but at the same time very handsome. His
face is very angular and his jaw protrudes out in a distinguished manner.
His goatee is trimmed and comes to a small point below his chin. His eyes
are like beautiful opals and his smile lights up the room. Fierceness can be
seen though in his mannerisms and his swagger. He is fairly slim and garbed
in silvery robes with a turquoise trim.His robe is well kept and ironed to
look pristine atop his other clothing. His hands and feet seem to flicker at
times reminding you of the beast that can come from this shapeshifter.
Though he is lean, his muscles are tone and he carries himself in a confident
manner.

The Spirit of the Jaguar

Cries ring out along the tranquil park in the heart of Voralian City. A
mother and her child sit and share a beautiful picnic lunch. Aunkdunell the
Criminal is here at the West Gate! Protect the Innocent! A local
peacekeeper comes rushing up to the mother and her now scared child. He
picks the boy up in his arms and lifts the woman to her feet. "I have to get
you home my darlings, the Nightreavers have come again." The man looks about
for any signs of trouble through the well manicured trees and quickly steps
onto the paving stones.He rushes his raven-haired love and little boy to
their quaint house that is attached to the guild where his wife works. His
wife pleads with him not to go and take part against the Nightreaver. As the
man turns and draws his sword, another cry goes up. A dire wolf the
criminal is at the Hummingbird Square! Protect the Innocent! The scions
have come my love, I can not permit these foul creatures to harm this
beautiful city of light. Duty is light as a feather sometimes, and heavier
than a mountain at others. What am I now if not courageous enough to face
what comes? I fight for the light, but also for you my silver horned queen,
and you my little prince." The large man in the burnished armor bursts forth
from their home yelling "Rally to me Defenders of Voralian! For Light and
Love!" Guards pour out of every corner to the cry of their Commander to face
the onslaught of the scions and Nightreavers. A large epic battle rages on
the typically peaceful streets of Voralian, the jewel of the light.

A few hours pass and a young peacekeeper comes to the door of the Commanders
home and knocks tentatively. The raven-haired guildmistress opens the door
and looks out at the peacekeeper, tears already staining her cheeks. The
young boy clings to the back of her leg and shies away as the peacekeeper
looks down upon him. "Mistress Gutrella, the Emissary, Jolinvar has asked
that I bring you quickly to the Cathedral of Holy Light." Gutrella gathers
young Catast up quickly and allows the guard to lead her. As they arrive a
scene out of her worst nightmares unfolds. Bleeding and dying men lie about
the floor as healers move amongst them. The guard ushers Gutrella and her
boy to a private room near the healer's guild. Gutrella pushes the guard
aside as she sees her love lying there on a healer's table, a large gash
across his midsection. Gutrella immediately knows the wound is fatal, but
her love grabs her hand and she pulls close to him. He whispers into her ear
"Teach our boy to protect the light, let him be trained by the Maran when he
is old enough."Gutrella nods and kisses him on the lips. She then lifts
Catast up to a height where he can clearly see his fathers eyes. The
commander looks at his boy and says "Do not fear son, you shall be a mighty
man one day, and you must take up my fight. I was once a Captain of the
Brigade until I retired to service for Voralian City. I know you dont know
much about that yet, but I love you." He reaches up and tosses the hair of
his boy one last time. "You look so much like your mother, take care of her
son." The young boy puts on a serious look despite the tears on his face and
nods his acceptance. "I will papa, he says." With those words from his
