Description

This gnome is covered with scars, skin twisted and maimed
as though burned fiercely, his slender hands slightly twisted.
Despite this obvious disfigurement, he stands straight as he
can with obvious effort.

His hair is brown and neatly kept. Short, but not too short,
and straight. His features seem friendly enough if you ignore
the seeming melting together of his skin.

Chapter 1

Overview
Added Tue Aug 5 18:53:33 2008 at level 2:

Freath was, as a child, hurt. He was playing in Galadon,
east of the Market Square, with friends of his. A great
cry went up as an anti-paladin began his assault of a
storm giant. As the giant slept, the anti-paladin wove
dark magics upon him. The plague that he gave the giant
slipped through the bright light of day and infected Freath.
In shock, Freath looked down at the sores upon his hands
and did not realize that the great shout that he heard was
the anti-paladin vaulting into the air. As the spear drove
itself into his flesh, the giant let out a great cry.

Stunned, Freath was caught in the blast of a fireball
that was hurled by the anti-paladin. The sizzle of his flesh
as he fell was the last thing he recalls as he passed out

Since this experience, Freath has recognized the need for
order and people willing to preserve that order at the cost
of their own lives. His twisted and burnt flesh causes
him some pain, and has weakened him considerably.
Freath is driven by the ghosts of that one fateful day.
He is generally good natured, calm and even tempered.
The choice of the shapeshifter's guild is obvious, he wishes
to hide his disfigurement at times. Healers have tried
and failed to fix it, but the memory of his trauma is too
deep in his spirit.

As for sphere Order, Freath has a strong conviction that
people should be able to have a place where they are able
to be, well, people. Without fear of assault, with equal
protections for all. He is most comfortable in the towns
where he knows what things are like. The rest of the world
is something he is a bit fearful of, again, due to his
childhood trauma.
