Batu Hragun the Legend of the Battlefield, Elite Imperial Blade
DescriptionIn front of you stands a huge giant, covered with orange almost fiery red hair. Dark black eyes with passionate look glares at your behind the hair covering the face. Under the coat of hair covering most of it's body you see huge muscles covered with black skin. The giant is wearing a mixed set of armor, most of it way to small for him to be wearing, but yet he moves with great confidence. You can see a long scar stretching right across his neck.

16764, Batu's Role Chapter 9
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 9 Reasoning of Batu Added Thu Sep 6 12:40:17 2007 at level 11:Batu is a very cunning fire giant, well, cunning for a fire giant that is. The little intellect he posses he has divided between his tactics in warfare and in getting things his way, witch usually means deceiving people. The most common way he deceives people is by actually acting dumber than he really is, which doesnt say that much him being as dumb as he already is, just a small tad more clever than the standard fire giant.
What Batu seek is to win life, well to win the game that is life. Victory is what matters, in any way it can be done, if you follow the rules of the game that is, well seemingly follow the rules of the game. Crime is not a part of the rules in Batus game, in Batus rules to life one has to fight, always fight to achieve victory, fight dirty if you have to, but if you dont have to you should fight alone. To all this there is reason and most of them come from his fathers teachings.
His father was an honourable man, a strange thing for a fire giant. As a young fire giant he met a warrior-priest of Corrlaan, Batus father charged as he saw the warrior-priest since he knew that if he didnt the warrior priest would. Batus father was quickly subdued even though he was a strong fighter, but this warrior-priest had no intentions to slay Gabul, which was the name of his father. He kept Gabul alive, and tended to his wounds. Constantly talking to him about the light, asking him questions that hardly made any sense to Gabul.
The healing of his wounds took a great deal of time, and as the battle had occurred in the frozen wastes Gabul and the paladin had to stay there for the winter. The longer time went on the better Gabul began to understand the words of the Paladin, and he also became better with his speech, the grammar didnt not develop very well but he learned more words for every day. The more he learned the more he began to understand of the reasons for this Paladin to give him mercy. And as the time passed Gabul found himself untied one morning, free to leave if he wished to. But he knew that if he left he would hardly survive the bitter cold alone, and neither would the paladin he thought. Somehow he did not like the thought of the warrior-priest dying, of course not the thought of his own death either but still. So he stayed.

16763, Batu's Role Chapter 8

RoleChapter 8 Reasoning of Batu part 2 Added Thu Sep 6 12:45:23 2007 at level 11:The whole winter they spent talking, about darkness, goodness, gods, battle, honour and much more. Gabul discovered that as the time went on he started to think in different terms, he started to feel something strange when thinking of this paladin. He did not only feel the respect that he had earned from the good battle, but something else, a strange warm feeling. Gabul cared for someone for the first time in his life. He had never cared for anyone before in his whole life, not even his new born son or his wife at home. When the winter ended Gabul was a changed giant, he no longer had a heart dark as the night, he had now seen the light. Still seeking victory in every little thing but certain that it could be done within the light.
Gabul was still just a dumb fire giant though, so when he tried to teach his young son these things he didnt realize that his son was already dark of heart, and that his son, was already old enough to have shed his first blood. So the things Batu learned from his father was how these things work, not that it is the way to do, but rather on how to use this information in the best way for Batu. Victory he easily accepted as very important, this was the key to power. Honour though was something he could use to taunt his opponents with, or just merely act honourable. He also learned that those of the light are fools rather quickly, as he saw his father backing away from battles he could easily have won and gained wealth and respect from. Batu saw this as weakness, not strength or victory. Though one thing really did make an impression on Batu was the rules. The rules his father made to keep Batu in place, this was a very interesting tool of power. There were rules in the tribe as well, but loosely kept which Batus frowned upon since in his eyes this meant that the tribe leaders werent that powerful, not being able to keep the village in place.
All those fights Gabul backed away from, and the charity he did made the family increasingly poor, it did not take long until Batus mother left them, for another male in the tribe, this made Batu determined, he swore two oaths to himself. One that he should always be victorious, not matter what! And the other, being that he should never be poor! He should be rich!

16762, Batu's Role Chapter 7

RoleChapter 7 Reasoning of Batu part 3 Added Thu Sep 6 12:48:02 2007 at level 11:As Batu grew older he became quite a fearsome giant, his was very large for his age and very strong. And his father just kept trying to teach him of goodness and the way he thought was true success. This did not fit Batu very well, but he still knew that his father would easily beat him in fair combat. So he took the time to figure out a way to beat his father, and so he did. One day he stepped up to his father and told him that he would show him true victory, and he challenged his father to a duel the next day. His father looked down upon his son with sad eyes and plainly said that hed refuse to harm his own son. Batu then declared that the fight should be done with staffs made out of wood so that they wouldnt get hurt, just a bit bruised. Like in their training sessions when Batu was younger. His father then smiled hoping that his son had finally come around and he agreed to this duel.
That night when his father had went to sleep Batu snuck out of their hut, getting a small pouch he had hidden behind the hut in a pile of dirt, he quickly sneaked back in and walked over to his fathers bed. Out of the pouch he pulled a tiny dagger, (A regular sized dagger for a human) and just grazed his fathers back with it making a small cut on his fathers back, so small that only a drip of blood came out of it. He then quickly snuck back to his bed and fell asleep with a wry smile on his face.
The next day came and it was time for the duel, his father might be looked down upon by the other members of the tribe but he was still feared, for he was the only warrior in the village trained by a true warrior master. So when they had heard about this duel they gladly came to see the father beat down the son. As Batus father stepped out of their hut he looked quite tired, and his totally black skin looked a bit greyish and pale. None seemed to notice as they all cheered for the two fighters thirsting for blood, for they did not know about the arrangement to fight with sticks.

RoleChapter 6 Reasoning of Batu part 4 Added Thu Sep 6 12:49:41 2007 at level 11:As they both entered a circle Gabul had drawn the other day the crowd started to mutter since they noticed that both Batu and Gabul only were wielded sticks bundled together to a staff. The battle begun. Batu pounding on his father with great powerful strokes, and Gabul easily avoiding them and throwing in a hit with a quick dart every now and then. But these hits werent even strong enough to make Batu lose his balance. After a while it was clear that Gabul was getting tired, while Batu was still being fresh. A few of his powerful blows started to hit his father, making him sway a bit from each blow. As the fight continued Batu could see that his father was nearing his death, the poison on the dagger had finally started to take its toll on Gabul. So with a great blow Batu managed to strike Gabul right on top of his head so hard that the staff was smashed into small bits and Gabul fell heavily down on the ground.
Gabul quickly leaned forward and to check if his father was alive, he was, but just barely. Muttering something quietly to himself he quickly rose and grabbed an axe from one of the other giants close to the ringside. He quickly turned to his father again and cut his head off. The crowd cheered him for this and someone threw in a dagger and the crowd yelled for blood, without hesitation Batu cut out his fathers heart and held it high in his hands and yelled Batu is me! Batu father dead! Batu eat heart! Become big warrior! and with those words Batu ate his fathers heart. This earned him much respect within the village and it was agreed by the village leaders that he should be sent into training in the big city of Hamsah Mutazz.

16760, Batu's Role Chapter 5
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 5 The beginning Added Sat Sep 8 08:21:21 2007 at level 19:Recently Batu has met a few imperials. Batu found this very interesting and fits perfectly for his plans. If he can become strong enough and get others to trust him he might be able to become quite powerful within the empire, not to talk about the wealth one can gain there he heard. Perhaps he one day can become emperor, and be the one with power of the rules.
He quickly found Eoria, a bard and elite blade in the empire army who gladly took Batus Oath. Batu knew the riches he had collected would come in handy and he decided that perhaps a few well placed bribes and some bigger donations to the empire would make his way towards the top a bit easier.
Batu now has new goals except his old ones, he must become a true citizen of the empire, and aim to become the blade master. Not only that he must also try to achieve the title of a hero within his guild all this while staying rich and wealthy.

RoleChapter 4 Learning Added Sun Sep 16 16:59:41 2007 at level 38:Batu is growing, both in skill and power. He is no longer just a blood oath, but one of the blades. As he became a citizen things have changed, many looks up to him and he quite often hear young ones greet him as a blade and when he walks through towns he can hear the masses quietly whisper hail to the empire. With this new power, new persons have entered Batus life. One of those being Nhivi, a half-drow bard with quite the ego. Since Batu is quite large, even for his sort he usually refers everyone as little singer, or something like that. This upset Nhivi quite a lot and a big argument broke out, Batu was quite upset with this and even read the laws to if there wasnt any loopholes he could use to kill Nhivi. But as the fortress held the codex they had to come to a quick arrangement to where Batu wouldnt refer to Nhivi as lil singer and Nhivi wouldnt refer to Batu as no-brains. This worked out quite well and after retrieving the codex they manage to gather some fine weapons for Batu, doing the impossible task of retrieving the Kings Halberd and the Axe of conquest. They had no use of the black magician they took with them who fell rather quickly. This weakness of the black strengthened Batus belief that they are all cowards and weaklings and that it is the blades that are meant to rule the empire, even though the black sometimes are useful tools in the quest for power. This is not the first weakness in the black Batu have seen, many times have he seen Savarnic act in cowardice, witch somehow rewarded him with the position of dread lord. This might prove useful to know in the future.
Batu will strive hard to make Eoria, the current war master happy and prove himself so that he may rise within the ranks, and become the next warmaster.

16758, Batu's Role Chapter 3
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 3 Rough Learning Added Mon Sep 17 11:28:43 2007 at level 40:Batu had some overwhelming experiences today. At first he was appointed an imperial blade by the Elite Blade Jhuutr, for killing a barbarian named Faga. Not long after that he witnessed one of the sheathed blade being demoted and Batu himself being on the verge of getting the same punishment. There is little room for mistakes, even if you are certain you make no mistakes someone above you might think otherwise. Batu is now certain, the only road to go is to become the emperor of Thera, only then he has none to answer to except the Immortal Gods of the Empire. Currently the empire feels like Chaos, and the only order being the blade sect. He must now make some friends, well allies, tools for him to use. He believes that he has a few already, unfortunately he must find his allies within other sects as well and that can prove harder. Batu believes that he must have the support of the gods as well, and Batu has recently heard much both about the gods Zughinlour and Khasotholas. Batu has decided that he must seek out Lord Zughinlour and perhaps even become one of his followers.

RoleChapter 2 Advancing Added Mon Oct 1 16:54:37 2007 at level 47:Batu has moved upwards in the empire. He has made a powerful "friend" in Eoria and gained her trust. Batu is certain that Eoria will become the new empress, even if he wouldnt do anything to aid her. So because of this he has decided to make a big effort of making it clear to her that he tries in every way to get her there. So for the first time he reveals some of his cunning intellect (in the terms of a giant that is) to her. Telling her a quite complex plan coming from a giant in witch he plans to trick the Dread Lord Savarnic into to voting for Eoria and threaten Avlak the High Priest into voting for her as well. He has managed to gain the Dread Lords trust so it might prove easier than he first though. He was also lucky enough to be witness to the High Priest breaking the imperial law, and this is of course only told his mistress since it could come in better use for the future, and that future has finally arrived.
Eoria quickly promoted Batu to become an elite blade, and made some small promises of making Batu into the next War master. Batu knows that he is still young, and Eoria is growing older by the day, getting Eoria to become empress and himself to become War Master could aid Batu in getting other council members that would favour him in place for the time when Eoria finally passes away. All he needs to do now is something he has been thinking of for a long time but has yet to come around into doing, he must seek out Lord Zulghinlour and try to be granted his blessing as a follower. There is much to prove still, and while all these things must be done he must achieve the pinnacle of his guild, and become a hero warrior of Thera.

16756, Batu's Role Chapter 1
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 1 Goals are getting closer. Added Tue Oct 16 03:53:03 2007 at level 51:Quite a few things have been happening of late in Batus life. First he obtained the tile of a hero within the warrior guild. Not long after that he had a long chat with the black elite Vanakoth, where he executed his backup plan, to make sure that if his original plan does not succeed hell have an ally in the black sect. And during his planning with Vanakoth he felt a divine presence and suddenly he just knew that he was not unnoticed by the dark god, he was granted the honour of having his last name in his title.
Batu is annoyed that the process of getting a new empress for the empire is taking such a long time, he knows that Eoria is careful and wants to make this perfect but his patience is getting weary. Though Eoria is the closest to a friend he has, and he trusts none as much as her, even though Batu never will trust someone fully. Eoria showed Batu great honour and took him to Thar-Acacia and show him a few things there. She also told Batu of a way to enter the silent tower, she also spoke something of catching a dragon with your mind, Batu wasnt sure what it meant but he knows that he must get to know dragons very well to accomplish this. So he has set out to hunt them as much as he can.
He has also recently heard of a great skill that is being though in the dark knights guild, they are being though on how to use their axes to cleave their opponent in half. Batu is hoping that he might get a chance to learn this skill some day, as it would prove very useful.
