Description

An avian figure is before you, the grays and reds of his plumage seemingly
entertwined about him. A set of golden eyes rest on either side of his head,
and a black beak is between them, its tip curling slightly downward. His
chest is broad, and behind it sits a set of wings that measure greater even
than the height of this being. To his side are arms, a flesh tone in color,
that are slightly muscled but yet still lean. His weight is supported on a
set of razor sharp talons, they also being a deep onyx in color. He exudes a
certain spiritual presence to him, and most of his body is covered in the
robes of a magi. Rather simple in appearance, they cover most of the
mismatched gear underneath them.

The vision

Draesthen awoke from his sleep, startled by a sudden noise. Unsure of
whether such was his dreaming or that of reality was no consequence. He had
awoken from an eerie vision, one that would likely change his life forever.
Within his state of sleep, he had been visited by a strange mist and a rather
omnipotent voice. The mists that had filled his dream seemed almost alive,
writhing and curling about him, its thick waves almost embracing him as he
had flown through the sky. It encircled him, grasped him, even seemed to
wrap itself around his soul. The mists offered him glimpses of the future,
and in the mists he had seen various moments of life played out before him.
While it was unclear just from sight, whos life was pictured, Draesthen felt
deep inside it was his own. He had seen himself years into the future, as a
wielder of great and powerful magics. He held such with care and precision,
using them to further the ways of magic itself.Behind him stood a veil of
sorts, its being flickering and pulsing with an odd glow. This veil seemed
to stand between Draesthen and his destiny. As it pulsed, so did the powers
within Draesthen. With its brightness, Draesthen felt his powers weakened,
and with its waning, Draesthen had felt his magics strengthen. He had felt
strangely and forever tied with this veil, its life almost as if it was his
own. Within these dreams were also many a terrible and fierce warrior,
striking at magi around him with deathful blows. These strikes were killing
the most frail around him, while others still combated on against the
barbarians. With the flow of battle, he felt his essence pulse within him.
With each death of a mage came weakness, and with each repelling of the
barbarians, strength. Draesthen had begun to grasp this concept, and in his
dream understood the beginning of his purpose. He knew that such a veil must
be kept in check, and balance must be maintained. It was clear to him that
should the veil wane to far either waywell, he shuddered at the
consequences. Especially since he seemed to writhe about his own lifeforce.
The vision begin to flicker a bit, and the mists started to recede. So many
questionsDraesthen had though.do not leave me now. Yet, as soon as it had
begun, the mists closed in on itself, the popping noise heard with it like
that of a closing book.His book. His destiny. His spirit.
