Description

This wild elf is covered in intricate tattoos and bits of mud and filth.
His hair is like a muddy waterfall - a series of mats and clumps cascading
down his back. Elvish ears emerge from the mess. His eyes seem keen and
his lithe body seems toned. He moves with a grace most races would find
unnatural, and while intelligence haunts his eyes, they gleam with savage
sensibility. Slime and specks of organic debris speckle his face, and
when he opens his mouth, bits of dark material betray his often crude
diet.

Chapter 1

Castle Elves

While practically in his infancy, Ghenghir was forced to live in Evermoon Hollow with his
disease-stricken mother. Once a free spirit, she became dependant on a guard there for her
survival. She no longer could walk and hunt freely in the wilds. Ghenghir took a last name, which
he would later cast aside, along with his mother.

He would go out, roam in the swamps and enjoy his freedom. As a boy, he would spend weeks at
a time in the muck of Blackwater, spying and playing - and honing his instincts.

Often, this playtime would involve the use of psychoactive poisons to induce a sort of hypersensitive
ecstacy and euphoria - a toxin found in a certain kind of toad he carries around in a pouch at his side.

Eventually, the guard began to enforce semi-orderly views on Ghenghir, preparing him for a life
of honorable service for Evermoon's royalty. Ghenghir, a rebellious child by nature, rejected these
ideas, and eventually became obsessed with the concept of pride in his wood-elven heritage.

As he began to embrace this philosophy, he became disgusted with those of his kind who would accept
a civilized life within the wood-elf city - a city like any other under the guise of something
less profane.

And so one day, he rebelled.

He began murdering wood-elven socialites who dared eat food and drink wine bought with coins from
the Evermoon's branch of Thera's bank.

These were not wood-elves to him. They were castle elves - almost as foul as an orc, and more insidious.
And with that, Ghenghir set out to find the race to which he belongs.

Toadal Revelations

Slime and sludge dripped from Ghenghir's mouth. Pieces of brightly-colored
toad followed.

A familiar numbess settled over his limbs, and along with a brief bout of dizziness
followed by startling clarity. His pupils dilated, his heart pumped and his mouth
twisted into a savage grin. He saw every movement. Every insect. Everything was
loud and fast and strong - more alive than any swamp should be.

This is how the wild-elf Ghenghir spends most all of his hunts. In a hallucinogenic
haze of ecstacy. It is his greatest joy. And it has been since he left Evermoon
forever in protest of the royal family's leaning toward civilization.

After spending much of his youth and adolescence in the swamps, living with ease
off of the land - and even finding recreational uses for some poisons - he
has emerged to see the world outside of his ecosystem.
