Description

Clad in an wide array of armor is a man of short stature.
Covering his massive arms appears to be a set of ironclad
sleeves, with his right sleeve much larger than his left.
His sleeves cross-tie in a figure eight across his back,
bolting in the front and rear to a sturdy mithril plate,
seemingly modified from its original shape to suit a large,
barrel chest. His armorments continue in this fassion
up and down his body, each piece held in place by another.
His face at a glimpse is well formed and burnished in
a layer of soot, and shows his true nature. The blond
hair of his head is braided down the back and sides, and
comes down his cheeks to braid with each side of his
beard. At a final glance you notice his blue eyes and...

This guy probably wouldn't have been the brunt of so much abuse if he didn't talk the way he did. There were a few times where he would use no and yeah in the same sentence and get the person to think he was an enemy.

Chapter 1

As Time Passes.

Traveling, battling, and adventuring is now common ground for me and
I have learned a great deal of things over the ages. I, now as always,
protect what is dear to me, being the balance and my brothers and sisters
who do the same. I have grown and aged a for over a century, taking
in all that my destined path has or has had to offer me. I come to realize
that at moments I find myself digging within my dwarven heritage and
I rather like it. In many ways I am able to reforge my life the very same
way that my kin have been, forging armor, weapons, and I have come
to love the forge. It is my calm, my place of peace, and it gives me hope
for a wonderful future when I am drowning in hardship and pain. Many
of my brothers and sisters of the Nexus have come to know me as the
Master Smith, or Blacksmith, after aiding them hone in their weapons
to a new battle sharpness, and it is something I take great pleasure and
pride in doing. I believe it was my fate, my destiny for my spirit to find
it's place within this dwarven body. I have come to realize this through
my many experiences how important that I can be, and how happy I am
that my life had its hardships early on because this is who I am. I am a
Dwarf, a warrior, a nexun, a blacksmith, a brother and mentor to many,
and my path has no end in sight. I have devoted myself to the belief that
I will life up to and do my best to exemplify the spirit behind all of these
things that I myself am and intend to let my spirit shine as bright as it can.

Chapter 2

A false Fortue.

Life as an early child for me was much like any other dwarven family, I
would fight, get into trouble, mess around with my fathers smithing tools,
and much like ever other promising dwarf be rewarded for my muscularity,
my hearty nature, and size for my kind. Of thirteen of my cousins, and close
kin, I was the biggest, fastest and quickest to grasp the tasks given to us.
About this time I gained my nickname, "Fortune," later shortened to "Fortue,"
both as a wealth of treasure, and for the bright future I had before my eyes.
I had a blessed life and my parents a blessed child but that wasn't to last
forever. While other children were learning how to read, script, runes, and
text, I was still working on how to speak. I had to work very hard in the
books to get to where I am now. My physical attributes may have been at
the top of the pack but where I could grasp concepts well, I couldn't put
them into words, or comprehend what I read very well. I double, and triple
check every time I speak, and it has become a strong habit. Fortunately
my family and I took things in stride, and I would have become a servant
to society as any with my meager communication skills would have
qualified to do. This future, fortunately, was not for me. After making my
life into more of what I feel I was destined to do, I now enjoy the path that
my life is headed. Toward the understanding, and defense of balance.

Chapter 3

And now it Begins.

I was born and raised like any other, to do my duty, drink, raise a family and
work the mines when not smithing. A great deal of my people have this life
and it is a good one for them although it is not one for me. I have lived my
life in this fashion for a number of years now, and it has brought me to this
point. I struck out on my own as a warrior which is rather common for many
of my race although I think my reason may differ. I seek to do something
with my life, something fulfilling, something unique, something to unleash
my heart into, my spirit. I don't know why I choose to stray from a most clear
and defined, good, normal life. I just know that deep inside I feel I am ment
for more. Not many days after beginning to take advancement in the guild
of warriors I have met a great deal of people of interest to me. Some of the
encounters I have had, have truly been excellent. I met an assassin whom
taught me of what he called balance. I didn't really understand at the time
although after I considered it for a short time I understood what he was so
adamant about. He believed that all things have a balance, good, bad,
magic, and forest... everything in his mind has a balance and he devotes
himself to that cause. I am not sure if it is the right decision for me but I
believe that I may follow this path and see where it leads me.
