Description

You see before you a regal figure that stretches to just over six feet. His
black hair contrasts sharply with his pale, soft skin. The hair flows freely
and stretches to the middle of his back. His eyes are emerald in color,
and hold a serious, focused gaze in them. His face is unremarkable, but
he is incredibly handsome. His body is lithe and athletic, and you might
suspect he is not as frail as many of his kinsmen. His arms and legs are
well toned, but obviously do not hold much raw power. His armor is very
well cared for, thouch mismatched. You see a tattoo upon his right arm,
just above his gauntlets, partially hidden by his sleeves.

Chapter 1

Overview

Istilion is an elf of noble birth, being of the House of the Seven
Stars. His family is of a semi-distant relationship to the royal house
of Darsylon. He began his training as a guardsman with the Royal
Guard in Darsylon. He studied law for a time with the Voralian
peacekeepers and had thoughts of possibly leaving Darsylon for a
time to become a Magistrate of the Blood Tribunal. While studying
with the peacekeepers he quickly lost all respect for that institution,
as he witnessed corruption, and its many shortcomings in effectively
enforcing the laws. He remains orderly in his ways, yet the "laws"
of the Blood Tribunal or the Empire are not what he would define as
order. He fights against magic because of the Veil. His father and
sister are both mages, and grow very ill every time the Veil is
thinned. He seeks to keep it thick, in order to keep his family
healthy. His mother(now deceased, circumstances uncertain) was a
priestess of the Lady Baerinika, and Istilion will seek her favor, both
in order to perhaps ease the suffering of his family and as a way to
find meaning in the world outside of Darsylon. Istilion will not
tolerate mages, orcs, or drow, and if he believes he can win the fight,
he will start it, no matter the consequences. The killing of light-
hearted mages should begin to weigh on his soul as his life goes on,
particularly any elven mages. He will ask forgiveness each time he
does it, and it will have an effect on him as his life goes on. His last
name is elven for "of the seven stars". The Ar- is added to denote
that he comes from a royal family.
