Phyligis the Warrior of the Gauntlet
DescriptionBlack and greasy, with stringy hair and beady eyes, there is no doubt that you're looking at a duergar, and not a particularly good looking one at that. His clothing is mismatched and patched, his weapons are serviceable but lack any shine or gleam. The smell coming off of him would rock a giant on his heels. For all that he looks healthy enough, limbs sinewy and strong, muscle clearly showing where hours of work, probably weapons practice from all the various implements of death strapped to his body, have defined him. It doesn't take you long to look him up and down and assure yourself that

Immortal CommentsMon Apr 2 23:25:03 2007 by 'Daevryn' at level 14 (13 hrs): Wow that's a major high level lowbie loot of a Tribunal right in front of other Tribunal. We're not getting this orderly thing off to a good start.
Sat Apr 7 16:21:40 2007 by 'An Immortal' at level 23 (37 hrs): An Immortal added 500 exp for: Basic role. Orphaned from Aran'Gird, carved out a life for himself stealing and backstabbing his way to wealth.
Tue Apr 10 01:28:17 2007 by 'Eshval' at level 25 (49 hrs): Just goes around killing and competent at doing that, though he rp his way into a game of rock, paper, scissors.
Tue Apr 10 01:29:16 2007 by 'Eshval' at level 25 (49 hrs): On that last...yes, he could rp the rock, but the scissors and paper would be a stretch.
Thu Apr 12 18:44:27 2007 by 'Baerinika' at level 25 (61 hrs): It's sort of tempting to title this guy 'Don't Fight Him Unless You Want Your Stuff Sac'd or Looted If You Die'
Thu Apr 12 22:43:20 2007 by 'Daevryn' at level 25 (61 hrs): Yeah, it's not exactly flattering that this guy has all these kills and yet when I see him on the who list I think "Oh, super looter guy is on."
Sat Apr 14 21:04:54 2007 by 'Baerinika' at level 30 (76 hrs): Just in case we ever try to join Tribunal for some reason - we're the kind of orderly that breaks the law all the time.
Fri Apr 20 21:18:50 2007 by 'Daevryn' at level 33 (103 hrs): I feel like a player this obviously veteran should be produce a character that other people would actually enjoy playing with/against. I don't think any of the super newbies being full looted with marginal RP are having fun.

14236, Phyligis's Role Chapter 1
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 1 Idiots Added Sat Apr 14 20:58:27 2007 at level 30:Try as I might to kill thieves and people like that, all sorts of idiots keep coming up and trying me, and dying. Random people just come up and attack me. Today a villager or villager wannabe, Mosem, talked trash, and then challenged me. He died easily, and then complained about it. It's all well and good, and taking stuff from them to sell is good, but it just seems damn strange. I figured it would be the idiot blue giants or paladins or dwarfs or elfs, but we're talking black giants and cloud giants and who knows what. Well, as long as they have coin for me to take and some nice things to sell, it's all fine. Just better not get in my way when I take down the thiefin bastards.

RoleChapter 2 Mercenary work Added Tue Apr 10 18:27:03 2007 at level 25:Waserax, the imperial high priest, contracted me to get an assassin. My first paid job. I got what he wanted, though I did it my own way, and then told him what I wanted, a couple of flails, and he went and got them for me. It was nice ordering someone big and and famous around. I did my end of the bargain. And I got to harrass a hider about it. Not a thief, an assassin it was, but still. Let's do this more.

14238, Phyligis's Role Chapter 3
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 3 Thieves Added Sun Apr 8 20:00:33 2007 at level 24:Phyligis has come to hate thieves. Hates that they try to hide from people. Hates that they steal his precious things. Hates that they put him to sleep and he is unable to do anything about their taking things, until he wakes, and they are gone. He has had good success killing them back now, and he enjoys it immensely. He is thinking about making a career of being a mercenary, a thiefkiller, a hunter of thieves. Maybe he has a future for that, taking pay from those who the thieves hide from, and killing the thieves for them. They think they are cozy in their cities and roads, safe to steal from anyone. Maybe no more!

14239, Phyligis's Role Chapter 4
Posted by Death_Angel on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
RoleChapter 4 To start Added Wed Apr 4 19:45:58 2007 at level 20:Long ago when Phyligis was born, the world seemed a fine enough place. Sure, he was born a duerg and the world of duergar isn't all roses and candy, but if you ARE a duergar, then that's what your life is, so it doesn't seem all that bad. But even among duergar there are better and worse, easier and harder, stronger and weaker. Phyligis was very young when life decided to kick him in the arse. His father was a miner and part-time guard of the slaves in aran'gird. But one day his so-called friends among the guards set him up, and thieves came and banged him in the head, cleaned him out and left him for dead. Then, not a year later, several miners pushed his father down a shaft, killing him and leaving Phyligis alone. He has no trust for anyone. He prizes getting things and riches so he need never have to rely on anyone, ever. He has no particular hate of mages or treehuggers or lawmen or anyone, he will stab any one of them in the back if he will be better off by it. By the same token, he doesn't necessarily see the need, and doesn't have the desire, to just kill and kill and kill. Though he does like it. But people keep coming up and attacking him, so he kills them. And takes what he wants, and then takes more to sell for good gold.
