Description

Your gaze falls upon the mangled and deformed being known as an Orc. This
behemoth figure towers over you his hair, matted white, is caked with dirt
and dried blood. As you stare into his empty eyes little is reflected in the
dark pools of his corneas. Fear begins to grip you as the gaze of this
enormous Orc falls upon you, for behind those barren eyes you catch a glimpse
of intelligence, rare within those of the hoard. He stands stoic and
determined as his muscles bulge and swell to sizes only one of his disgusting
race could possess. His hands are enormous, and they wrap lightly about the
weapon he carries, gently grasping it yet having the potential for
substantial destruction. As you stare deeper into his eyes darkness envelops
his once dull corneas and a low guttural roar emanates from his lips. His
hands tighten about his weapon and an expression of rage marks his features
as he returns your stare. The darkness in his eyes slowly fades as he regains
his air of determination.

Chapter 1

The Ascension of Gnashgaar

Gnashgaar awakens from his hut within the village, a Warlord of the Grinning
Skulls. He quickly takes note of the Chieftain Hizznr wandering the lands of
Thera. Lightning flashes in the sky and thunder claps resonate through your
ears. The rain pounds against the face of the feared Mamlauk berserker,
Gnashgaar. He closes his dark amber eyes and concentrates, opening his mind
to communicate with his deadly She-singer ally. "Time has come to end the
leadership of the coward Hizznr, The Reign of Gnashgaar is upon us!"

"Indeed Orc I descend upon your village now" replies Restinan. The orc
flexes, loosening his body, preparing for the bloodbath to come. He rises and
walks to the shaman Tremblefist, resolute and without fear he announces his
challenge to the Throne. A ring pulses from the temple signaling the
challenge to all orcs.

"Beh seeing dat one coming" announces the Chieftain Hizznr.

"Yer time is up, submit to meh and yer will not beh squelched after I've
bathed in yer blood" replies Gnashgaar blatantly.

"Weh shall see" is Hizznr's last reply. Without warning another voice sounds
in Gnashgaar's mind, the traitorous dark-elf Ciurehra.

"The chieftain has recruited me in your demise, I shall send him to you when
you are prepared" Restinan lowers herself to the ground tuning her instrument
as Gnashgaar raises the staff in his hands towards the heavens. Slamming the
staff into the ground Gnashgaar roars for the earth to arise into living
stone! The ground shakes and forming from stone and earth an elemental
appears at the bidding of the Warlord.

"Now" Gnashgaar tells Ciurehra. Appearing in the temple by the drow's
magic, Hizznr stands confused before his Warlord and Bard ally. Raising his
axe before Hizznr can react Gnashgaar slams his battleaxe into Hizznr's arm
shattering bone and ripping through muscle. Hizznr no longer having the
strength to wield his weapons breaks Gnashgaar's spine in desperation. Shock
sets in as Hizznr realizes Gnashgaar is not alone, the bard smiles
malevolently as she plays her deadly song summoning phantoms into Hizznr's
mind. It is over as fast as it started, the lifeless body at the new
Chieftain Gnashgaar's feet.

The insubstantial form of the former chieftain stares coldly at Gnashgaar.
Raising his fist into the air and pointing the new Chieftain strips Hizznr of
his Orcish powers, squelching him. Dazed from the loss of power Hizznr falls
to his knees. "Yes bow before yer Chieftain," laughs Gnashgaar, "For the
Reign of Gnashgaar is upon you."

Fear and Despair.

Orcs are known as the failed creation of dark gods, twisting everything good
and holy within this world into the deformed and mangled beings known as the
horde. They endure through generations by sheer force of will, no laws or
boundaries are followed within the horde, cunning and deceit together are the
greatest tools of an Orcish berserker. The culmination of dark desire is in
its purest form can be seen in the beings known as Orcs. They choose their
own paths and embrace that which they were created for, destruction.
Gnashgaar Skullcarver was enlightened to his purpose at a young age for there
is little good within the world of an Orc. Constantly hunted for their very
creation it has become apparent that allies are few and far between. It is
these lies and corruption of society that force fear into the eyes of men,
compelling them to hunt that which they do not wish to become. Selfishness
has overcome Gnashgaar and terror shall grip the world of Thera. Fear and
despair are greatest tools he can use, for those that do not submit to his
will shall be culled as weakness, a plague that must be destroyed. The
fortress shall lie in rubble and the tree in ashes once Gnashgaar has
attained Chief of the Grinning Skulls. There shall be no hope left for those
who fight the horde, only sadness and despair.
