Chapter 8

Why Scion?
Added Thu Oct 26 18:32:56 2023 at level 23:

Ssorc, as a concept, Very much (essentially) Will be played as a secluded and mostly
quiet Drow. All up until the 'Undeniable' reality to be experienced some day to
come of course! But otherwise, her entire being is wrapped up in knowledge, lore,
shadow, secrecy, etc.

She has no reservations about being 'reluctant' to give up 'freedom' Her eyes have
been opened! And now she's ready to embrace it all! Now! But still with patience, as
Her own growth in power is her goal. But she has no problem, what-so-ever watching
this world, or as many others as need be, consumed by shadow and what lurks within.

Why shouldn't she embrace it? Indulge a little? Barely a sacrifice worthy of mention
in the grand scheme of things.

Ssorc will work towards darkness AND shadow, without fail, until she succeeds.
As such, her path as crossed and intersected with the Scion's a few times in
the past, and she could not help but be convinced that the Scion of Eternal Night,
Definately had their head's in the right place with regard to personal objectives.
At least for those who had tried and failed. They knew what life had to offer. Knowledge,
translated into power, which is then forged one step further into ones own power. Ssorc
hasn't yet been convinced that the Scion have figured out the last step to that
knowledge. Perhaps there is much more they could learn together.

Otherwise, Ssorc was forged in shadow and is in no way afraid of it. Nor unwilling to
embrace, test, and further that power and unholy will. In short, if she's going to
essentially live the life of a Scion, anyways, then at the Vert least she may as well
have a nice and dark place, full of unholy nightmares to do her studying, testing,
advancing within. Ssorc is curious of the secrets held within. And she wants to know
if the Scion's shadow is anything like the eternal black that she remembers.

Ssorc has no plans for betraying the Scion, so she will be trustworthy at least for an
actual dagger to the back.
