Chapter 2

A New Village Found

Flistibbis exploded into the world like an elvish fountain once he was brought
into the Battlerager Village. Though he was shy at first and kept to himself, he
quickly learned to value the camaraderie and fellowship he found within his new
home.

His history was only inquired about a few times, and the story of 'I was turned
into an owl familiar by an evil mage!' seemed to hold over any curiosity. He has
never come forth to anyone that his family was all mages, or that he had killed
his own brother out of jealousy that he himself couldn't use magic.

He channels his inner rage into a destructive anger. He seeks to destroy the
magic that surrounds the world by helping the Village against the Veil of Magic.
He cackles with glee as Tahren destroys the things he brings forth, and the
feeling of the veil thickening and cutting off the magic he senses always
enveloping him uncomfortably. In this way his focus in on destruction.

He's found there are two types of gnomes in the world. Gnomes like him who hate
magic are one, and the other kind of gnome seems to be everyone else. At first
he felt extreme discomfort killing even more of his kin, but the hidden Tower of
Thar-Acacia taught him that there are mages in this world with extremely too
much power, too much dangerous magic, many of them gnomes. The only those of his
own race he will ever slay, however, are mages. For many reasons he has an
extreme distrust of his gnome kin, mostly because he himself feels he cannot be
trusted.

He prides himself on his training, his courage, and his abilities. He thrives on
inspiring awe in others and he himself seeks to be a legend of the Village.
