Faerhyss Part 1

Faerhyss hid in a storage room as the surface raiders rampaged through Teth
Azeleth. They slew all its citizens in the name of the Light. There, she drew
a circle and prepared to call forth a demon to stand her ground. As she was
chanting her final incantations, the door was broken open, and a whip snapped
at her neck, choking her into unconsciousness.

She awoke, in pain from the light that burned her skin and her eyes. She was
in an unknown place. The raiders had taken her up to the surface. She feared
a fate worse than death. She threw her hands out to cast a spell to escape,
but instantly felt a collar on her neck constrict and sapping away all her
mana. She had been shackled by an anti-magic collar.

Unable to escape, she could only yield to the raiders, who intended to bring
her back to the Fortress for a public execution. As the raiding party passed
through Voralian City, the crowd cheered. A new head to be chopped. The party
stopped by an inn to take a rest before moving on. As she was left alone in a
bedchamber while the raiding party washed up, a devious harlot entered to
serve food.

"If you do not wish to die, say nothing about this." With that, the harlot
left the room.
