One lusty bastard

Doilen has one driving focus - sex. His schemes for power, the various
adventures he embarks on, the gold he collects - all of it is driven by
his lustful desire.

He does not seek to rape his way across Thera, however. Doilen would
much rather have a willing partner. As an evil duergar bastard, of
course, he's done his fair share of raping (and maiming and pillaging,
truth be told) but it is not what he prefers.

As to the "why" of his insatiable desire, one can only speculate. Doilen
tells a different tale of his upbringing to each person who asks, it seems,
so attempting to discern a particular point of his childhood that spawned
such lasciviousness would be fruitless.

One thing that is clear, however, is the duergar seems to have higher standards
than one might think, considering the frequency of his proclivities. He's
not above prostitutes or slaves, but much prefers women of higher standing.
To that end, he keeps himself well-groomed, with fragrances and frequent
bathing. Most unusual for a duergar.
