Where is the Next Bottle?

What mattered the most was meeting an empty bottle, then reaching for the next...
Soon the bottles ran out however.

It was then I would see clearly finally. And be honest with myself.

I threw the last empty bottle across the cave and watched as it shattered
into pieces and slipped into an underground pool of fresh water I had all
but ignored until now. I walked over and peered into the shallows where
the glass pieces had come to rest. Atop a strongbox hidden in the sand.

I leaped down into the water pulled the box from is watery resting place.
The lock had rusted over time and I pried the lock off easily with a bottle
or two. As I lifted the lid, the rusty hinges of the box creaked and I peered
down into its confines to find...

Nothing...

Empty as the bottles riddled across the cave.

In that instant I found meaning. My shattered life was much like the broken
pieces of the bottle, yet just like the empty box I found in its wake, If I
embraced the void I may fill it and start a new.

I left the cave that day. Pained and scarred by the past, but reborn and with
a stride and vigor far more reaching than before. Purposeful was my walk and
I knew that I would find a good bottle to uncork and someone needing to find
there way.

Suddenly the svirfnebli raises his hand slowly from the table, as to not agitate
the woman sitting across from him.


But kind madam. I am not of the Outlander tree. I don't like climbing any type
of trees. I am deputy in the cities you see. You need a job? Then come with me!
