The Beggining

Xendanth Stormcloud grew up in a small village in the shadows of the Jade
Mountains. Life was simple in his village, game was hunted in the nearby
mountains and the forests that were only a day trip away. A creek ran through
the village giving much needed water. The villagers made everything they
needed, leather from the skins of the animals they hunted, weapons and
clothing. There was ample root vegetables, berries, mushrooms to be found.
Life was simple, but life was good.

Then one day it all started to change, the game started to be harder to find,
the creek slowly dried up and the trees started to die.The weather had
changed and the rains had stopped falling. For years this continued with the
villagers managing to hunt from the water rather than from the land and
continue a feeble existance. It was eventuallydiscovered that weather
magic was being used by townspeople far away that was having far reaching and
devistating efect on the lands bordering their town. When they made it rain
so their crops would flourish, it would devistate the natural weather
patterns for years to come.

Xendanth's people who had no magic of their own traveled to the town. His
elders spoke of the devastation that was being caused and that the
townspeople must stop their use of weather magic for the damage they were
causing. The Mayor of the town laughed at the savage elves and ran them out
of town, all they while admiring the crops that were flourishing and making
his town rich with profit.
Xendanth and his fellow villages moved far away from their home land and
eventually found lands that they could call home. Xendanth was troubled with
the foul use of magic he had seen and the outright scorn of those villagers
and could not settle with his people in these new lands. He left his people,
keen to see if he could help others that had been so damaged by magic as he
had. He traveled a bit, always telling mages to stay away, until one day
some two shape shifter mages and a ranger traveled to the forest he was
hunting in.

Xendanth told the ranger to take the mages away or he would drive them away.
The three continued to hunt, showing Xendanth no respect. Rage grew and
Xendanth creaped up and attacked them, one mage was slain, and then the
other. Xendanth had drawn first blood.

Xendanth was troubled by what he had done, but also knew in his heart that it
was the only way to stop the mages that were so blinded by their power that
they could not see the damage they were doing to the world and the others
that reside in it. Xendanth eventually traveled to the Battle Rager village
and pledged to join their cause, in the aim of ridding the world of magic
forever.
